A person wouldn't prefer any race if they didn't think they're superior to all others. So it essentially means that even though a person is open to dating all races, they would reject someone for their preferred race. People don't like to admit but it's racist to discriminate like that based on race. The best one can do is accept that they're a racist.

I mean, it CAN be, but it doesn't have to be. But there certainly must at least be some biased. But honestly, I don't think it's wrong to not want to date certain races, because you find them inferior to others. Not all races are equal. That's just a fact. And if that hurts you, go crawl into your little safe space. Racism is a form of discrimination. Just because you believe someone is inferior to you, it doesn't mean you will discriminate against them. And I can date whoever I want.
The funny thing is, there are people who have preference for their own race, yet throw a hissy fit when someone doesn't find their race attractive, yet also at the same time, if you ARE attracted to their race, they accuse you of fetishizing them. It's like if you're White, no matter who you're attracted to, it will be problematic, so I honestly stopped giving a fuck. People need to just mind their own fucking business.

Most people will say, "No! Because it's what I like..." which yes, is fine and it's a preference: you can't control what you're attracted to.

It just comes off as seeming racist because you're closing your options to a particular race (s) and not allowing others a chance, even if they check every other standard you're looking for in a relationship.

Put it this way- imagine someone saying, "I don't dating (insert race here) women." Yet she has everything else a guy is looking for in a relationship. But he won't date her due to her race. Well now he's restricted his dating options, and has to look doubly hard to find someone else that matches that within his preferences... all because he refuses to give a certain race a chance.

No. Being attracted to certain traits is normal. Some like lighter or darker skin, lighter or darker hair, lighter of darker eyes, shorter or taller, etc.

Racism is the pre-judging of someone based inherited racial/ethnic traits rather than upon individual character. It can be either negative or positive, in that someone can automatically assume the worst or the best about an individual based solely upon race/ethnicity.

You like what you like. Or if you prefer same race for dating it could be down to the simplicity and the ease of cultural values and understanding.
