Yes. I've known a guy who was raped and he was terrified even admitting it. It took a while to get him to open up about that. He even felt really guilty for no reason.
I don't mind, actually. All my life I had not needed any 'organisation' to stand up on behalf of myself. If others want it - fine with me; I don't need to listen to what they yowl about. I am under the impression that the Meetwo thing is already open to men. Personally, I don't give it any further attention: It has been misused so often, that it has no bite left.
1 - Men who try to report sexual assault 2 - Women who have been sexually assaulted by other women.
THe reason being that #metoo was about extending women's victim cards after feminism had such a bad year in 2017 and continuing the idea that all men are pieces of shit.
the #metoo movement should have stopped awhile ago for the simple reason it's become a bullshit witch hunt. Yes, it helped in the beginning, however now anyone with an axe to grind, can make a story and destroy a guy's life.
even tho statics say that women face it more its not fair to leave men out just because its "not common" We need to stop abuse period. Abuse is Abuse no matter gender or relationship status.
There are sadly shelters that won't help abused victims just because of the relationship status of the person. They only help its a "ex lover or spouse" Family members like parents and grandparents can abuse there adult children its not common but it does happen.
Well it wouldn't work. In fact It'd do more harm than good. Because few men will admit to being sexually assaulted; especially by a woman. They'd be seen as weak. And as a result it would give credence to those that don't believe men get sexually assaulted and further make men out as even more the disgusting beings we apparently are due to skewed statistical studies. And yes, many women don't report sexual assault either, but I think it would be far less reported by men.
@Sammy165 i dont think its something a woman can understand, same as we man can't understand some things about woman. After all we do live in two different worlds.
No matter the good something can bring there will always be those who will use that system to abuse rights and have there way cause they know the system they know how to word and how to make it look like it was another's idea.. it's a world lies and hardships
The me too movement started out good but now it’s making it harder for victims to believed and women are being hired less for fear of them spreading things that aren’t true (which happens more than you think). At this point it’s only causing harm and I wish it never existed in the first place even as someone who is a victim. It did help people come forward but it’s destroying credibility.
Yes and it is. It's not #justwomen, its #metoo. There isn't even a gender pronoun in it and transgender people from both sides use it as well as lgbt. There isn't anything that say men can't, some are just jerks and use it sarcastically or to mock others
Before I say anything else, I must tell you I admire and respect your civility in the face of vehement disagreement.. that is something I don't see too often. Seriously, thank you.
But anyways, I think the intent was to bring men down, because "innocent until proven guilty" was offensive to hardcore feminists.
I can't read the mind of whoever came up with the movement though. Sometimes, the road to catastrophe is paved with good intentions.
Why dont men start protecting women again? there wouldn't be a #MeToo movement. There was a time when rape/molestation was not as prevalent, when men would protect the women in their family.
Nowadays fathers and brothers throw their daughters and sisters into harms way. Its despicable.
Men should have #ProtectWomen Movement. #MeToo for me is just pathetic and gay.
I think it's a double edge sword for men bc won wan to always act like the victim "metoo" but on the news u will see women will finesse the system to get what they want
Funny stuff. I am realizing it's the pretty boys who have feminine faces or are 6'2-6'4 or are student-athletes (who aren't ugly) who are the ones living the way girls think is normal for most everyone.
But it isn't actually. So that would be the male 'metoo' tbh.
No me too is a horrible way of hanging out people without a justice system having a say. It's modern witch hunting. That men should use such dirty methods is something I don't want to see.
I disagree with #metoo as it seems to be too focused on historical abuse, which I'm sorry to say is all but unprovable.
We need a system to catch perpetrators before they can do more damage, not after they've had decades to create more victims, metoo will never achieve that.

His rapist should carry the shame, not him!
Thank you for sharing♥️

#metoo has ignored two main groups.
1 - Men who try to report sexual assault
2 - Women who have been sexually assaulted by other women.
THe reason being that #metoo was about extending women's victim cards after feminism had such a bad year in 2017 and continuing the idea that all men are pieces of shit.
You're so right
the #metoo movement should have stopped awhile ago for the simple reason it's become a bullshit witch hunt. Yes, it helped in the beginning, however now anyone with an axe to grind, can make a story and destroy a guy's life.
I agree that it’s become a weapon.
Thanks for your opinion :)

You’ll never know until you try 🤷♀️
Thanks for your opinion!

After all we do live in two different worlds.
@Janncis actually, we live in one world. What’s different is our perspectives of that world.
Because we all live together, we should all at least try to understand eachother, no?
Difference is women like to talk about issues for sympathy, men say fuck that I need to take action to improve my shitty situation.
As someone that takes action, I think you should re-evaluate your opinion. Not every woman is the same.

No, us men are too good to falsely accuse you women for our own personal gain.
#metoo is objectively trash, nothing but a witch hunt.
You’re thinking about it now and not the original concept 🤔
Thanks for your response!

Let's also extend it to all children. That's something that I thought would be mentioned in regards to Hollywood, but it never gained traction.
Men are treated even worse in a day to day situation.
I think it's a double edge sword for men bc won wan to always act like the victim "metoo" but on the news u will see women will finesse the system to get what they want
Yes, a lot women definitely take advantage of the system.
Thank you for your opinion :)
Yeah but it would be entirely different. On twitter I see stuff like: 'I get no matches on Tinder'
...
Metoo.
MeToo
metoo
yep
metoo

#MeToo

More
Men are assaulted and raped than you’d think. They’re just not believed or are afraid to come forward
That’s exactly the problem

Men can get raped too. So equality rights are the best
I agree! Thanks for your opinion :)
You are welcome
I mean yes but honestly it doesn't show the same impact
And that itself is something that should change 👏 thanks for your opinion! :)
I mean you can't really change for soo many reasons
But you're welcome
