If an American thinks Islam should become outlawed in my country and they present their reasons, I don't have a problem with that. Islam is being criticized back and forth, left and right, and I really don't have a problem with it as long as they aren't attacking or deliberately provoking anyone. Having an opinion is fine.
The rhetoric isn't about merely "having an opinion", nobody can stop anyone from having an opinion.
The rhetoric is about people who are unaffected by issues feeling like they should have the ability to make decisions about those issues for other people- and they shouldn't, because that's just plain tyranny.
Uh but I am speaking strictly about having an opinion.
Then you don't understand the phrase or what people mean when they say it.
It's a joke from a tv show where some guys were trying to decide whether a woman is going to have anesthesia during pregnancy or not, she uttered the phrase "no uterus, no opinion" to make it clear that she is going to make that decision for herself because she is the one whose uterus is going to hurt.
It became adopted by some in the pro-choice movement, because it mimics the way that men and male lawmakers get to decide (deprive women of their rights) things for them in issues that they are personally not affected by in any way.
It doesn't directly affect men, but it does directly affect the fetus. Which does have the right to live. And that's something any gender can discuss about.

Eggs don't grow by themselves to become a whole organism. Nor does sperm. But a fetus does.
Maybe if I was an ant that could in fact make a whole organism out of a haploid cell or I was a lizard who produced clones, I might have given it a thought.
