Are raglans and crop tops slutty looking, in your opinion?

We walked past the frat house where a bunch of guys were sitting on the lawn. As we walked by they started saying "*cough*SLUTS*cough*WHORES" as a collective group.

I didn't see anything inappropriate with our outfits. We were both wearing jeans and sneakers, so I would have considered us as showing only a little skin.

In case it comes up again, both my friend and I were wearing bras and have small chests. I don't know any of the frat boys personally, and I don't think my friend does either.

I think it just depends on where you live, if those guys know you (it might be personal?), and what your body looks like. If you were both braless, and have fairly large breasts that are flopping around then yeah... it is a bit of a hooker look. I wear a similar raglan with a sports bra all the time and have never had any negative comments. A lot could be how you're wearing it, and not the piece itself. I learned at an early age that even spaghetti string shirts and the like look a lot more slutty on bigger chested women, while it just looks good on smaller chested women. (I am a 32D so I just can't wear much without sleeves/thick straps/etc, I need to cover up).

I'm a 32B and my friend is a 34A, and we were both wearing bras. I've never met any of the frat guys, myself. I can't speak for my friend on that one, though.

Do you happen to live in a small town? I went from living in Tokyo to living in the middle of nowhere, New Mexico. I had to tone down my look A LOT to not get gawked at here, and I am by no means a super model. To be honest I think those guys were just trying to be assholes for the sake of being assholes.

Crop tops on the other hand are pushing it, I think. What other reason is there to wear a crop top other than to show off your body/draw attention? Comfort? Feel? Wear a t-shirt, and it's the same thing.

It's all in the mindset of the individual wearing it. There's a big difference between a slutty girl in a crop top and a not-so-slutty girl in a crop top. Those guys were just being douches. They secretly want you, trust me. :D

I only wear crop tops with high waisted shorts/skirts though, so my stomach doesn't show, haha. Anyway, I don't think either are particularly slutty. The crop top CAN be perceived as slutty, I guess, if worn with something revealing, but if you were both wearing jeans and sneakers, I think the guys were just kind of being assholes.

Not necessarily, in fact if worn improperly, raglans can sometimes make girls look like they just rolled out of bed. In general though, it's just a fashion, and my guess is the frat guys were just being stereotypical frat guys.

A little skin is sexy, and I don't think either of the outfits you linked to were slutty or whorish

there is one. First, there are the frat guys; they get all the hot girls. Then, there are the athletes; they get hot girls too, but not like the frat guys. Third, people that join clubs; they only get the girls that are in those girls. Finally, the misfits; they don't get any girls.

You must have gone to a way different college than me. Our "food chain" is guys in clubs, then "normal" guys, then frat boys/athletes.

My college is 80% female and 20% male. The guys in clubs are usually really cool and interesting, so they get girls first. Normal guys are just normal, and so they get normal girls. The frat boys and athletes are normally douchy and pathetic, so they get the desperate, slutty girls that require external validation. Sometimes the sluts are hot, sometimes not.

The shirt in the first link looks cheap,loose and easy to slip off. So that's why they thought negatively of you. Usually the women that wear shirts that show off their stomach is a slut. If a woman that wore the kind of shirt that they use when they workout then they most likely wouldn't have called your friend that.
