I am from Turkey. Here in this app I constantly see people bashing my country and for some reason they are so willing to show Turkey like a pakistan, saudi arabia, afghanistan like islamic sharia sh. thole country and when I respond to them and say otherwise I was getting blamed for living in a imaginary world. I mean come on man. People dont know anything about my country and yet they patronize about it and act like they know my country , my people, my history and my culture better than me. Turkey is a secular country with no national religion. Yes majority of us is muslim but we are moderate or irreligious muslims so as you understand turkish people are not so devout and strict about religion. My country is builded on values like secularism, liberalism, religious freedom, woman rights etc. Secularism is the first rule in our constitution. May I ask you as a Turk. Why are you guys so so willing to perceive us like a pakistan, afghanistan, saudi arabia like sharia sh. thole. Turkish people are not arabs. We dont even share anything common with those people other than religion and we came from a completely distinct culture. In our culture things like pedophile, polygamy, jihad etc is condemned. Dont tell me erdogan? Most Turks dont even like erdogan and we resist every kind of islamization, arabization etc. comes from him. Turkey is still a secular state and we Turks want to preserve it and we are ready to fight against anyone who want to remove secularism from my country. I dont want to get associated with bullshit that other muslims commit. They are not even Turk and we Turks always despise their islamist bullsh. t here. There is islamist here too I have to accept but they make the minority and some of them are not even Turks. Syrian refugee or something. I would not even complain about it that much if we really like people claim but we are not and thats why it making me more sad. Some examples.

Also for some reason we Turks are always being the first victims of islamophobia. I mean there is countries out there who is governed by sharia laws, filled with woman walking around in niqabs and terrorist looking bearded monkeys scream around allahu albar etc. and yet those brainless racist islamophobias always bashing Turkey most likely most modern, secular, less devout muslim majority country out there.

Well the first one is true, Turkey is 99% muslim and it has had issues of terrorist groups right outside of their borders. Now they have done a good job at keeping them from crossing but the threat is still their (I don't see this as the fault of Turkey mind you, when you have these kinds of situations right outside your doorstep, its inevitable it will spill over (the US has this issue with the Cartels which are powerhouses in mexico and as a result their violence does spill over into our country as well).
As for the second comment, they were insulted first so I cannot say the counter insult was not warranted.
As for Turkey being secular that is very true. Its also true that Erdogan has flirted with non secularizing Turkey (I recall on at least two occasions protests occurring because of this from the Turkish people.). Again, not saying that this is the fault of the Turkish people, not saying this is a reflection of them but it is their and that will create certain impressions. I understand why these things happen, Turkey is in the middle of a powder keg and not choosing a side could be very dangerous (which is probably why Erdogan considered certain actions that were not desirable (I do not recall the exact details, I believe the first time in the early 2000s (if memory serves) was introduction of sharia law, I do not recall the most recent events however, just that their was a coup due to claims of the erosion of Turkeys secularism).

Most muslim migrants in Europe either arab or paki. What do we have to do with them. Even tho Turkey suffers from migrants and refugees more than Europe. We currently have 4 million syrian refugee and I also hate them.

What does armenian genocide have to do with this subject. And yes armenian genocide never happened. Those bloodthirsty armenians rebelled and attacked us first and they get what they deserve. They were died in a war as you understand. Its not considered as genocide if they died in a war. What do you expect from us really? giving flowers to those bloodthirsty armenians. I heard stories about Turkish gang groups in Germany that hated Armenian, and racism remarks towards Armenian. I’m part one-fourth Armenien, my grandmother is full blooded Armenian. My dad serving in the US Army almost got killed by Turkish Gang groups in Germany, but my dad killed one of the gang groups in self defense. Turkish people are not perfect, but also have good people.
@StephenCF Maybe in foreign countries but here in Turkey its not so common. We dont even marry with some ethnic minorities living inside our counrry like circassians, albanians kurds, arabs etc. Its so rare.
He was not that radical in past. You can see what kind of ideology do I follow from my question and yet even me used to support him in past but not anymore. He literally gone crazy after he got elected. Also there is lots of non turks living here in Turkey. Those ethnic minorities generally more radical than ethnic Turks.
