To a degree, but I also think the average antinatalist is a moron. They'll praise themselves for saving the environment by not having children, meanwhile there's people in africa making babies 5 times as fast as the US, not to mention India and china.
I think the place for antinatalism is for people who would make terrible parents, for people who wouldn't enjoy being parents, etc.
Other than that, antinatalism is the dumbest thing ever when you think about it. As biologic entities our job is to reproduce, survive, evolve, improve. But we're rationalizing our own extinction. Like... these idiots don't realize that if anything the earth, plants, animals, etc will survive long after humanity dies out. Our species isn't the center of all existence. There's life that survives at the bottom of the ocean in scorching hydrothermal vents, where no light has ever shone... Life can survive humanity easily, no matter what our effect is on the environment.00 Reply

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yNo, I believe God creates all life. I come from a large family 5 times the average. I learned to value life, even though one of my parents is disabled and two of my siblings are. They still have value and they enrich life. I will with God's grace have a lot of children with my wife. I've saved myself for marriage and I'm saving money for marriage. I will be earning about $100,000 a year with my degree, I plan to sart my own business as well (may reach $300,000). I expect to have 6+ kids (if I marry at 24), but would love any amount. I believe God has a plan for everybody and it is a great plan. My parents married earlier than I will, so I don't expect to have as many children, but would love every child I had.

+1 yTwo hundred and twenty-odd years of Malthus' theories being disproven, visibly in everyday life, and it's still not enough for these people? Do they then celebrate by phrenologically examining the skulls of alpha wolves they pumped full of phlogiston?
00 Reply374 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. no... if humanity didn't procreate we would cease to exist, to deny any life a chance to exist is actually morally wrong...

in fact i find the whole idea of anti-natalism as anti life... as they are against life being created... so much so that i would like to see any anti natalists try telling their views to a horny lion, bear, or try and stop them from procreating...
the whole idea is just as pointless and stupid as Flat Earther's - +1 y
Yea it’s a bit anti life and some people would believe non exist is better and they won’t care if human extinct. Or Even extinct is better. But it’s not same with flat earther, it’s a point of view thing.
- +1 y
yeah my comparison is the ridiculousness of the actual view... difference is that FE idea started out as a joke by a guy who wanted to see if it would take off...
AN's are just ridiculous in their own right as their views are self destructive... in my opinion both ideologies are make a mockery of their followers - +1 y
No. Earth Flat or round thing is a fact.
Opinion is opinion. U should learn how to respect others as there are a lot of people don’t want Their own kids for those reasons. Like
Environmental problems , family problems and all things that mentioned in the video.
I would be also disgusted by people who are uncultured , poor , mean and have kids - +1 y
as for people who are poor that is down to the way capitalism and communism works, as with wealthy greedy and power hungry people who want power over others they must have poverty existing in order to remain powerful as they maintain a level of division of class
and you miss the point i have made a few times now about the similarities of both views... both are irrisponsible and are not constructive or even remotely correct...
while one was originally started as a joke...
the other is more of a view which is more self destructive...

What is the point of keep reproducting endlessly?

Well. deny any life a chance to exist isn’t morally wrong because they don’t exist. Giving birth to kids , u could be wrong once the kids said don’t want to be borned.
“ i would like to see any anti natalists try telling their views to a horny lion, bear, or try and stop them from procreating... “
well.. humans do question about the value of life because they are intelligent enough to do so.
I can also say keep giving birth generation by generation is pointless and stupid as animals. - +1 y
A lot of people have that idea before they even hear the word called antinatalism.
It’s also a bit similar with Buddhism.
Why I called u disrespectful is because u linked those idea with earth flatter when it isn’t. Plus We are not horny lions or bears.
If denying a life the chance to exist Is wrong , then condoms and pills are wrong, rape is right , no abortion.
I don’t believe life is gift by god As we already know how is it created. A lot of people chose to prevent it out of different reasons because when the parents are not ready there’s no point to suffer together. So I don’t agree with you. - +1 y
Do u agree killing is in itself wrong? If so, how do you prevent killing other animals as u r eating , using the products made by them (Even if u r vegan) and supporting human’s Overexploitation and pollution that causing Other species extinct?
Actually We all living in this food chain. It’s a fact that we Can’t avoid killing. And now we can’t avoid contributing to global warming And Climate change.
Funny thing is the population is super high we know one day we will Make ourselves extinct because of everything I mentioned.
If u agree that human is always on top of everything, killing other animals isn’t wrong. Then tell me why they can’t choose not to have kids , they aren’t doing abortions, not even killing. Instead they just sense how twisted humans are and reducing population also helping homeless kids is the most moral thing to do instead of giving birth to their own kids. - +1 y
For the points I missed. I just didn’t have enough time to reply. But yea I disagree with your views.
And there s one thing I really don’t like is last generation actually leaved their shits to next generation. When they destroyed the earth, they know the future generations are going to take care of their shits and facing a lot of natural disasters. this is more irresponsible to me.
+1 yHilarious that people who believe in anti-natalism are super happy their parents didn't believe in it.

No. they are not. What made u think so?
- +1 y
Because they wouldn't be here to spew their nonsense.
- +1 y
Well. I think the parents would definitely disagree with them because that means they are blaming them. antinatalism Says creating new life is in itself wrong.
- +1 y
And they couldn't say it if their parents believed in it. So they're grateful that some people don't agree with anti natalism.
- +1 y
Actually not all parents disagree with it. My mum didn't want any kids but my dad really want kids so she gave birth to me and my sis unluckily my sis was borned with disease. She also agree having kids is because they want them. They also chose to have their own kids instead of adopt.
Your answer also related to a question whether being alive is gift or not? Different people have different answers. I believe the people who suffered would say No it isn’t but they just not brave enough to Murder themselves because of the pain. I agree not all life are good tho. - +1 y
So you're projecting your dissatisfaction with your life onto the next generation.
- +1 y
I’m half agree to it. I won’t blame the people who have kids but if they werent able to provide good environment and resources, that s bad. Adopting is also better option because there’s a lot of Homeless kids in the world, helping them is better than bringing one more kid to the world.

Next generation? Or last generation?
+1 yI agree with the practical Anti-natalism is most aspects, disagree with the total Anti-natalism
