What's wrong with adopting an orphaned child instead of bringing a new child into the world?

It is a good idea as the world is already overpopulated. As I have told you in DM, I was adopted. Who knows where I would have ended up had I not been. I had a nice childhood watching the northern lights many nights. Here is a hymn I like for your kindness.
