People have abortions all the time, regardless of what the law says. Criminalising abortion does not stop abortions, it just makes abortion less safe. Almost every death and injury from unsafe abortion is preventable. It is not only cisgender women and girls (women and girls who were assigned female at birth) who may need access to abortion services, but also intersex people, transgender men and boys, and people with other gender identities who have the reproductive capacity to become pregnant.

You like guns? Great! Guns kill children that you keep on banging about 'saving'. Are you going to help the adoption system that's already full? Probably not no! You judge single parents but don't help them either. Children who grow up in poverty starve, grow up round violence etc. You don't get to tell people what to do with their bodies. We live in 2022 where most people have choices. Please don't take this simple human right away.

I am sick of all these debates saying that we are murders, we are not. Access to safe abortion is a matter of human right. I don't care if this post gets taken down or my account shuts down. If you're anti abortion, fuck you 🖕

I somewhat agree with you. I'm against abortion and yes I see it as murder... it's a life and your future family. but you should have access and I have NO BUSINESS standing in front of you. It's your life and commitment not mine. People think they are going to save the kid forget how much time/$/emotional energy you have to put into caring for them. If you aren't going to do that nor give up child to someone that will, then your offspring has virtually no chance. It's really awful and that is why we need traditional values which are proven to be successful. The reason for the abortions is screwed up families, relationships, and emotions. Fix that stuff should be what we should be talking about.

To your point, standing beside you if I choose is the right place in support if you want it... that can be done by govt, religious orgs, foundations, mentors and such since we do care about you and your family. How much we willing to do, is an individual question. We humans used to live in villages and when someone was off (hormonal issues, maybe their husband died, something went wrong, etc..) there's people around for support ideally, if it's good community. We lost that... we need that since family units can be messed up. Mentors...

What the heck republicans are doing or think they are doing is beyond me... and I kinda am one (independent right leaning) and I think they take their convictions too far.

I think it should be allowed and idc about pro life or pro choice. a lot of people haven't seen the real world or even dealt with it. I rather the baby be dead then stuck in a sewage pipe and garbage can suffering and died. Tons of Law Enforcement and First Responders get PTSD when dealing with those calls of service.

They do HAPPEN & it happens a lot. I could care less at least that baby didn't suffer a cold lonely death.

Love the fact that we're at a stage now as a society that saying 'only women can be pregnant' is controversial. It's like living in an unironic 2004 South Park episode.

Yeah, countering a 'abortion is murder' argument with a 'kids die anyway' argument is a brilliant move. Especially when the latter is all about tools that do indeed save people's lives every day and who's purpose, utility and lethality varies depending on the people using them and aren't merely take on by people who wanna end the lives of defenseless children.

I think abortion should be legal in all cases, whenever the woman wants it. Even a month after birth if anything.

At the same time, the women who seek abortion usually have problems and abortion shouldn't be an excuse not to address those issues. Like you mentioned, single parenthood is a serious problem for one. The foster care and adoption system is another.

Here is the crazy part about the whole thing. You said that transgender men and people that were not “assigned” reproductive systems would need it access to it. Why, it’s unnatural for a man “assigned” there sex to be in need of abortion. I can’t believe this is a debate. If a doctor has to put reproductive organs in a person, they aren’t meant to have it. Only what you are “assigned” with is what you are supposed to have.

Am I anti abortion… yes! I look at my child everyday and think God I have my child! Does that mean I can tell someone else what to do? No. I don’t stick my nose in and tell people what they need to do. It’s there life they are hurting. So it’s possible to be anti abortion and not want or need to tell someone how to live there life.

I think that apart from self-preservation, abortion is immoral. That said, I don’t favor a broad, national ban on abortion. The Republic of Ireland’s post-2018 abortion law is probably the most reasonable.

Don't want to risk gettibg pregnant, don't have sex. It takes two to make a baby. That baby's life is the most important. These arguments have been collected from people who used them to defend the practice of forcing men to pay child support.
