I am not trying to stir the pot!!! I am interested in everyone's views on the matter. I was reading an article earlier on how most black people in the Unites States feel right now. Black women in particular feel threatened and unappreciated by everyone- including their own race. Think about all the negative stereotypes given to black women. What other race of women has as many negative stereotypes as black women? I am not saying other ethnicities don't have their share of stereotypes; however, black women tend to have the most, and worse, out of them.
Let us try to keep this post civil please. I know I am probably going to regret making this anonymous, but I want everyone to feel comfortable honestly replying.

I think outright mass-genocide the perpetrators have yet to officially acknowledge, shameless land-theft to a continental-scale without compensation, continually-worsening cultural near-extinction, and essentially-mandated disproportionate levels of poverty in their remaining domains (as compared to the rest of the Union) due to Federal laws & agency-policies… is disrespect, too.
If rape isn't disrespect, I don't know what is. The 94% rape-rate proves Native Americans are the most-unprotected, most-disrespected people in the Union.

I say middle eastern muslim women are. I know middle eastern can be black and muslims are black. But magority if middle eastern are not white. I dont really know what to put them as? Brown? Tan? I usually just have my own category for them, which is middle eastern. You know what I mean hopefully.
What they have to go through not only in the middle east but in western states is terrible. They are discriminated agianst for just wearing a hijab.
The stereotypes come differently to. In my personal opinion, black women MAY have worse stereotypes, but it's only because the urban areas do not help. I think it has to do with tough upbringings, which causes black women to be on alert and they get taught taught ok not take anyone's shit. Which is good, but a lot go to far for certain things and they are a bit to quick to set ablaze.
However, it also isn't always as bad as people say. Black women to me aren't ANGRY per se, they are passionate. They care a lot about what they like and they dont like. When they love, they love HARD. many black women are ride or die kind of people, and if you aren't on their level, they dont want you to be there, and their confidence makes it so they aren't afraid to tell you to your face, and they are blunt. Now, this comes as a shocker to people who would prefer to talk behind others back or just be "fake nice".
I know that Karen's AMD such are just as triggering. But, when I worked in a low income school, that's main populace was black individuals, I saw first hand why people ASSUME the way they do. The mothers that I saw, were the walking stereotype. Now, I know all races can act terrible, and we are also seen as bad, so it kind of balances out. The "ghetto" black woman, is just the other "white trailer trash" stereotype.
Middle eastern muslim however, have to deal with a lot tho. Countries that treat them like trash, and then they have to migrate awaybif they have the chance and they get persecuted just for their religion and hijab. They dont have many bad stereotypes I think, besides the whole terrorist thing, but just from what many face on the reg, and yes I acknowledge that NOT ALL muslims act this may, but from female mutilation, to them not being able to get an education, I think they are more of the victims of society, because a lot of individuals undermines their suffering, like they asked for it because they are muslim. I'm not even muslim, but when I studied it for a college kjnorz the similarities I saw with the Quran and Christian beliefs I found more similar than different. While I agree the whole marry the kid thing is nasty, I'm not going to pretend that those of Christian faith haven't been nasty in the past either.
Im not even going to read the comments because I rather not get triggered today lol (so thanks for the update so I could catch the vibe), I think it's the problem of society making black women the butt of the joke when it comes to society. In society, black people are usually treated fairly badly compared to other groups of people because we live in a patriarchal society, women are treated worse hence way women in the "lowest" race would get the most backlash.
Personally, I haven't grown up in an area that doesn't this open its all in the subtext of society but I'm happy to say I know a lot of black doctors, nurses and lawyers :D that help erase the negative views people have about black women. I think people who have a problem with or against black women are either jealous or honestly just scared of them because the social standing for beauty is slowly moving to move ethnic features, people choose to attack so because they are scared of change. Not to mention the fact they have achieved amazing things in the past years.

Yes, please avoid the comments unless you are ready for a headache. I don't know why I am surprised by some of the things I read on here, but it's still disappointing nonetheless.
You are absolutely right, there are successful, good black people out there that erase the negative views of us and make me proud to be a black women! The problem is, even with those of us out there doing well and being successful, there will always be people out there attacking or looking down on us.
Yeah, I guarantee most of these people there are racist on here would never behave this way in public or in real life. I kind of wish they would so I would know who to avoid or not associate with.
I'm a black male, and while I answered a question similar to this before, I will say (as respectfully as possible), most of the "stereotypes" about black women are more true than not. Many MANY black women are loud, entitled, uppity, negative, ghetto, and even out of shape, or ugly. I mean, given how many women are in America alone, why would ANYONE want to put up with that? The few good black women there are (educated, not ghetto, not a "Hood Rat Feminist," etc) usually have men by their mid twenties and get married, so that just leaves the undesirable black women who think being obese having a kid by 19, and not knowing the basics on how to read and write is "good enough" for man to give up his life and support her, day and night.
Again, I'm black and trying to say this as respectfully as possible: Black women have the most undesirable women in them of any ethnicity in America. And this is at a time when MANY women in America are undesirable for many reasons (feminist, negative, entitled, has kids, lazy, gold-digging, etc). And the cancerous BS that is Black Lives Matter, a Marxist hate group causing MORE racial tension and disharmony, certainly isn't helping things.
So no. You're not "unprotected" when you choose to act that way. The same way Asian men (who aren't six foot tall Korean pop stars) are "unappreciated" for basically being NEETs and incels, to most women.

Personally, I don't judge people by skin tone. I am open to all races and honestly think the idea of "race" and "ethnicity" is stupid, in general. It's like cats hating each other because one is black and the other is orange. We're all people. But out of the types of women I'd want to date the least, more black women coincidentally fall into that category than any other race. You can blame it on "systemic racism" and other socioeconomic factors, but we're not here to talk about that.
I'm just saying, if I WERE to date someone (not that it's really an option right now, anyway), I'd want it to be someone educated, intelligent, and affectionate who doesn't listen to trash music, is overly religious, and doesn't generally has a negative attitude. Find me more black women like that and I'd happily get to know them better.

I have to admit, hearing black men say that hurts almost as much as another race saying that. This is why black women are starting to date outside of our race: even our own men don't find us desirable anymore! No offense. I know that is not the case for all black men, but unfortunately, in most cases our own treat us worse than other races.
Do you know how hard it is for a black woman that does NOT fall into all the negative stereotypes to be treated properly or stand out? Because society has already formed so many perceived notions about how we (as black women) act, people instantly treat or talk to us in a negative manner. So when they meet one that's educated, fit, not loud, not ghetto, and has her life in order, they still judge us by our skintone, not by our lives and how we're trying to better ourselves so we're not just another stereotype.

Of all the things you say, you never once consider the possibility that maybe many black women are undesirable because of the ACTUAL things black women are doing. It seems like you keeping looking to blame everyone but what black women are doing.

In contemporary society, it seems that there is a competition to establish yourself as a victim to that you can then acquire some favored status with attendant privileges. Whatever happened to succeeding on your individual merits?
People who disagree with you are not automatically "racist" just because you are black. That is just a word that is horribly misused and it contributes to racial problems.
If this is only between women then I'm not sure to be honest, I only know that disagreeing with this usually would get me called racist or something. If it's out of all men and women honestly the most disrespected people in my opinion are the thousands of homeless veterans. The ones that have served the country risking their lives only to come back and be discarded. I know their are some systems in place to try and help with this but it's not enough. There shouldn't be any homeless veteran or veteran that can't get the help they need mentally. Wether that be PTSD, depression, or physical disability. If this is only about races and not groups of people that hold lots of races then I can't give a good opinion, because I live in an area that's far out in the country and the town is so small that racism isn't a major issue here. And to be clear I am native American and I some people say I look Hispanic so if racism against either of those two races were a major issue I'd probably have found out about it.
No. There is a difference between feeling disrespected and being disrespected. If anything and everything is an offense to you, you are going to feel disrespected very often without necessarily being disrespected according to the common consensus of whatever society you live in.
Now, since, nowadays, being a victim seems to be a sort of trophy and, the more you appear as a victim, the more you are glorified, I don't even dive into this question because I don't support this victim competition as victim mentality only keeps you stuck in your misery. I invite you to read about the Karpman drama triangle to learn more about that.
When you take a look at it, all that victim mentality does realistically is annoy most people or rally some to the drama triangle, which is not good in my opinion as it involves more people into drama and it has a chance to keep them stuck in that drama. I think it have little to no positive influence in society, especially compared to the negative influence it can have.
Anyway, my point is that I don't think this question is relevant personally as I don't think it helps us move forward as a society.
Why do we put value in stereotypes? If I deal logically and unemotionally with people isn't that better?
Remove emotion from the situation and insert logic, I believe that is the solution for fair treatment.
Logically stereotypes don't apply to all people of a group, however if a group shares certain traits, habits, likes, dislikes, actions, common attitudes, inter-group communication and reactions to non-group members what is that called?
Is that culture? Can I make a decision on group traits for business? Do I have to treat everyone I meet logically as individuals? Does travel to areas populated by certain groups logically mean treating everyone as individuals or can I logically deduce from group traits on how to interact?
What is the main difference between a stereotype and a social norm?
Do I logically think the person I'm interacting with has a stereotype about me? How do I logically deduce if a person has stereotypes? How do I logically know if a person doesn't treat other based on stereotypes? I might logically conclude communicating with the individual is the only way to find out. Are they willing not be offended, if no true offensive is being given even if a lack of knowledge caused a perceived offense?
Maybe it is time to seek the non-emotional path of Truth and Enlightenment for understanding of each other.

This is true. But like I was expecting most guys on here (white) would say that this is false. They're not aware of their privilege , as usual. 🙄 Being black was never easy but I feel that the world is becoming even more dangerous for black people in general.
I feel that being a black woman is a blessing and a curse at the same time. Blessing because we are able to endure so many difficult situations. Not saying that women of other races don't have their problems, they do. But we've been vilified and dehumanized for centuries, that's our curse.
Everything that is happening now makes me think that I shouldn't have kids. I don't want to have a daughter or a son who is going to experience all the awful things that I did.
It's mostly true, but a part of it is false too. I accept that they are thought to have a negative vibe, but in my eyes they're caring, kind, loving and generous. If I talk about looks, I bet they're more beautiful than most white girls, even me. There are people who discriminate, and say things against them, but most of them are wrong, considering that it's coming from a racist. I agree that there are bad ones too, but girl, you can be decieved in this world full of fake people. It's not all about colour, gender, identity or nationalism, but about our mentality.

I’m a white girl who used to roommate with an African American girl, she was my best friend, loved her, still do. But I could see the way people treated us differently almost daily, the different things she experienced that I never had to due to my white privileged. It taught me a lot, and I feel so terrible that Black women are still going through this bullshit to this day. I definitely think they are treated poorly.
The reason in my opinion why black people have it so hard is because of themselves. No one is to blame for what is happening to them in 2020 but themselves. Poor parenting and poor judgement calls has cause black women to be shame upon and for the most part seen as sex toys but thats not true for all of them but a good bit of them are. I can say however that i know a lot of beautiful black women who are very well respected and have earnt it to, so no i can't say all black women are mm poor decision makers but a good bit of them are

Statistically black skin is seen as outside the norm. Its like starting out at -10 instead of 0 on a video game. So any person with darker skin will face prejudices, not just "black women". A darker skinned person has to show more competence in a topic before a person hires or acknowledges them. Everyone has to understand that life is based on chance and skin color makes the chances of success lower for any field. Now apply that to also women being seen as less capable in some areas. This whole topic explains the phenomenon black women have to go through.
How do you explain the huge success of Indians. I work in IT and nobody judges them based upon their skin color. Some of them are darker than some black people
@SuccessfulHornDog Indians aren't the actual majority in IT jobs around western countries. IT jobs are outsourced, a lot of times in places like India. People are prejudice on purpose but due to schooling programs certain actions in people.
I am not following you're train of thought. I am referring to Indians who came to the US to work. Many of them are in IT even if they aren't the majority. My point is that they can be extremely dark skinned and it has absolutely no impact on how they are perceived.

That is nonsense. These Indians come from a completely different country with a different culture and different work ethic and a greater importance placed on education. They have darker skin than most Hispanics and many Blacks but that doesn't impact them in the work place.
Do you want to know who is successful in the business world? People that work hard, put a lot of emphasis on education and self sacrifice. I work with people of every race, color and major religion. The successful one always have the same traits.

All of these people have something in common, right? They all have dark skin. What else do they have in common? Are they all very well spoken? Are they all highly educated, Do they all use proper grammar?
Here is another fact. Most organizations will hire a person of color who is only moderately qualified. They will hire them over a more qualified Asian or White person. It has never been easier for a POC to get a job even when they aren't the best candidate for it

I think everyone has their version of hardship even white people and I am not white. At the end we are all just people born with specific physical attributes. It is society that says we are either better or worse in some way but that is not the objective reality. Also African people have way better food than North European people I mean have you tried Kenyan and Ethiopian food? Super delish.

You say black children are the most unprotected correct? I see which direction you are going in and you make a valid point. However, think about this: those same children are going to eventually grow up, and possibly face the same issues as their parents.
The children matter more because they will become those adults. The males will have a higher chance of no father, a loser or thug, or a self-hating republican black. Or uneducated
The female will become either u masculine, hypersexual, or date men she never had and not pick Good moral men. When other races of women will pick up these "square" black boys/men.
Then the black female will be the leader of the household or community. Like you see at these Breanna Taylor marches. Women on the front lines.
Once destroy them as kids you can force them to repeat their same cycle as their parents.

It is all about mentality. The issue with the generation of today, oven, and my own, millennials is that everyone wants to play it safe, have everything done for them, instant gratification. Now, this is not everyone in these two generations, but a vast majority of them. You want something, go get it. People don’t want to walk alone anymore.
I say false. I do not believe that beingn a black women in America is easy, but I thing that indigenous women are the most disrespected and vulnerable people in Society. Indigenous women are suffering on large scale of murder, sex trafficking and general violence. People heard very little about it, because North America as a whole (yes Canada included) do not like to talk about Indigenous much. To illustrate my point: did you know that 25% of the victims of sex traficking in New Mexico are Indigenous women? (Keep in mind there is only about 9 millions Indigenous in the US). I strongly encourage people reading this to go and explore the subject. There is a wealth of information on it even if it doesn’t make the front page very often.

Black history is a somber one, but in modern times oppression of blacks is a narrative used to drive political agendas or encourage the flow of money. Actual oppression happens far less than many would prefer you to believe. Anytime you see or hear someone speaking heavily about black oppression, ask yourself if they are making money from it in any way or need your vote. If the answer is yes, their credibility just took a nose dive.
I voted no. I don't deny that black women suffer disrespect and abuse. But if one looks at statistics, it seems that Native American women are victims of more abuse and murder.
Looking at your question and then update I was just curious about something: Why did you pose this as a question at all when you make it evident in your update that you wanted a certain answer, and all who disagree with the quote you insult and accuse of racism and ignorance. Re update. I read your update then I read through the comments, I didn't find many opinions that I could even call racist or ignorant. I think sometimes that if one is told something often enough that they will begin to believe it, they will see themselves as the victim. Which is unfortunate because those who have the mindset of being a victim rarely fulfill their true potential.
I believe that middle eastern women like Jews or Arabs might be treated or more discriminated against worse! I don't know sadly it's hard to tell but hopefully one day there will be no racism and people will just celebrate all their differences!!!

Black women are hella mean. That’s why no one likes them. I’d say black men for the answer, they get way less protection from others, they are on their own. Everyone wants to help a woman but not a man. Also don’t be racist and sexist unless you want the truth

So just because I'm a black woman, I'm mean and rude. Is that why no one likes me? Is that why no one ever wants to be around me? Because I'm a black woman. A lot of white people have that opinion lol, maybe in your generation but in mine I see kids of every race being friends because unlike your generation we base each other off of their actions not their skin color.

Do you want me to do everything for you? Why don't you go outside (following guidelines of course) and meet some people. My neighborhood is predominantly black and it's very peaceful, no drugs, no violence, none of that stereotypical stuff. I'm sure you'll meet some nice people

Yes I can. Being black has nothing to do with it. I'm not a Christian and I know that the bible wasn't written by God. I'm not an astronomer and I know that Venus has the highest surface temperature while mercury has the most polarizing temperature. I'm not black and I know black people commit the most crimes here in America.

I'm not saying that black people don't have barriers or issues but the three things that you mentioned are very specific to men (of all colors) as compared to women

WTF, I only made a point that it is common for any men to be subject to prison, homelessness, and violence. and we both agree that is an accurate statement. Now you are telling me that I need to come up with some other statistic to prove YOUR original assertion that black men have it harder than black women? Come on dude that's not my responsibility. But your original statement is still true. Black men do face a harder time than Black women in those three areas. but so do men of all races. Its just a little misleading because if people didn't know that really applies to all men it would look different than if they understood its more of a male thing than a black thing.
You could compare black men to men of other colors and see what the stats show

@ct1243 No ma'am, I am in fact a black female. I did not think I would have to say that, but apparently some people on here are very ignorant, or in this person's case, has me confused with someone else.
I asked this question to see the community's thoughts on the matter- which looking at the poll and replies, is VERY disappointing 🤦🏿♀️

What do you mean by that? I will admit I do get angry sometimes, mostly if someone does or say something stupid or ignorant. But explode is a bit extreme, lol. I think most people are capable of "exploding" if they're pushed too much, regardless of race or gender.
Ah, I see. Well not all of us are that way, I can assure you. Unfortunately that is one of the negative stereotypes I was referring to, how most people perceive black women as easily angered, or fly off the handle at any little thing.
@Darcia That's not the norm for white women. When I say "good morning ma'am" to a black woman, about half the time I get the intense stare, no smile, and a forced "good morning".
