AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Republican lawmakers in statehouses across the country are moving swiftly to attack some of the voting methods that fueled the highest turnout for a presidential election in 50 years. Although most legislative sessions are just getting underway, the Brennan Center for Justice, a public policy institute, has already tallied more than 100 bills in 28 states meant to restrict voting access. More than a third of those proposals are aimed at limiting mail voting, while other bills seek to strengthen voter ID requirements and registration processes, as well as allow for more aggressive means to remove people from voter rolls. “Unfortunately, we are seeing some politicians who want to manipulate the rules of the game so that some people can participate and some can’t,” said Myrna Pérez, director of the voting rights and elections program at the Brennan Center.
The proposals are advancing not only in Texas and other traditional red states but also in such places as Arizona, Georgia and Pennsylvania that supported Donald Trump four years ago, only to flip for Joe Biden in November

The Republican's who supported Trump are all behind this well I believe we are lucky cause before any such laws are passed they got to be made into law by President Biden but there could be a way that these go into law but restricting one's way of voting by mail due to being disabled is also taking away the disabled person's right to vote but these Republican's always have something new up their sleeve and we got make a petition up saying that it's time for America to stop the abusive ways of any political party cause they all say that the 2020 US Presidential Election was voter fraud there was one guy age 79 in the State of Pennsylvania who used an absentee ballot for his wife who was deceased so he is in trouble and he was a Republican
A South Park man was charged Thursday with election-related crimes after he allegedly cast a ballot in his dead wife’s name in the 2020 general election.
Francis Fiore Presto, a 79-year-old registered Republican, is accused of requesting and casting a ballot in the name of his late wife, Judy Presto, who died in 2013. Although Mr. Presto is a Republican, state records do not show who the ballot was cast for.
In addition to a misdemeanor charge of forging ballots, Mr. Presto faces felony charges of interference with elections and unlawful use of a computer.
Wherever the Republicans are currently in power, they will redouble their efforts to make it ever more difficult for people in cities to vote. They know that if turnout is high, as it was in Georgia and Pennsylvania this year, that Republican candidates can't be elected.
Conservatives are going to use the fear of a "fraud election" they perpetuated to pry open all the voter suppression they can. Because the fewer people represented in an election the better it is for Republicans.
