Well, the flip side to that as well, which I find interesting, is saying that if you believe math is racist, and needs to be dumbed down, really you're saying whites and Asians do too well compared to one or more other minorities, so that curve needs to be flattened.

I do believe that's why you won't find many specifics on the nature of how math is racist, because you can empirically prove that it is not, but there are ethnicities that on average do better or worse on tests. It's why no one's taking up the cause for Asians being discriminated against in college entrance exams, they're a minority being discriminated against, but there's no story of helplessness or pulling up from the slums... because the problem is they score too high compared to their peers on average, so get their grade weighted because of their race.

I understand that for some people is conventional math sometimes to abstract to comprehend and math learning systems like common core should help people with problems. However, common core is effective just for simple mathematical functions, you can't use it for complicated calculations. I think people who don't understand conventional math will have problems in further education anyways. Of course calling everything racist that doesn't fit liberal narrative of reality is the new US way of life, but I don't think this is a long term solution.

First of all, this "program" is not advocating that 2+2=4 is incorrect, at all. They are not proposing that the problem is the outcome of the equation. Math is math; it only has one correct answer. They are proposing that the way teachers interact with their students is somehow wrong. That telling them their answer is incorrect, creates a negative environment for the students, and that the classroom/learning environment needs to be changed to a more positive structure, and not just reading/memorizing books.

Secondly, the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation apparently donates to some education group that is a "parent" of these lunatics, rather than directly to this advocacy group.
