It not about life or death but the irresponsible people of the 21st century. People are unable to be responsible and stop being slutty. If people are responsible then abortion should never exist but like I said we live in hookup culture. Time to grow THE FUCK UP people
100% pro choice.
I respect people's views if they disagree as it is a choice at the end of the day if you choose to not have one that is your decision and I'm not going to try to convince you to change your opinion.
An unplanned or unwanted pregnancy can ruin the life of someone, and can potentially run the childhood of the unborn baby, with no fault of his (or her).
let's be pro choice, and let's allow everyone live a happy and healthy life.
You write - "... and let's allow everyone live a happy and healthy life." You mean EXCEPT for the baby, who will pay the consequences of other's choices for a choice it had no say in making.
Ironic, that.
@nightdrot Well, if it's an unplanned pregnancy, the child might face a bad childhood. And, I personally believe that since the child is still in the womb, it "can not make a choice".
Well, a person in a coma cannot make a choice, does that thereby confer the authority to exterminate him?
Further, at what measured point would you guess that if you told a child that he might have less than an ideal life, that he would ask to be killed? For that matter, what moral metric do we set that says the POSSIBILITY that they may have a bad life confers upon us the right to DEFINITVELY kill that person?
Suffice to say, you have not only some legal problems there - but a few moral ones as well.
@nightdrot I do understand that this pro-choice/vs/life debate is one of the biggest debates in todays time, in terms of legal and moral understanding. I want you to understand, that both you and I have different views, and I am not trying to impose my views on you. I am only mentioning my thoughts on this topic.
Also, I do respect your point of view as well.
Well, that's fine. I did not take what you said as an attack upon me. Rather my point to you is that you have, in effect, demonstrated my argument.
You decide subjectively what is moral then make that choice and impose it on a being that is in no position to assert itself. That is, as I say, a legally dubious and even more dubious philosophical position.
In effect, you make yourself a law unto yourself and impose that upon a being who is not responsible for being here and who has no capacity to assert its own rights and interests. Indeed, in so doing, you foist the consequences of your actions unto a person who was not responsible for your actions but rather was a product of them.
No offense was taken. However, this is a serious philosophical argument with very serious - if often unremarked - moral implications not just for the individual, but for the morality of the law and the society it governs and whose values it is meant to express.
In other words, a unplanned or unwanted pregnancy could ruin the life of someone ( that chose to take the risk of getting pregnant), and potentially ruin the life of a child and your answer is ( murder the child) to keep from ruining the child's life. Do you realize how backwards your thinking is?
@ThisAndThat No. Do tell. How backward is that?
You are determining the value of life based on its material circumstances and YOU are deciding what material circumstances merit that life. So, again, how backward is that?
@nightdrot Matthew 18:6-14 6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
Isaiah 5:20-21 20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
@ThisAndThat Not sure of your point, sir.
So far as I can tell, contrary to your previous posting, we appear to be in agreement. At any rate, see also my response to the main question posted on this page.
I’m totally pro choice as long as we’re not supporting serial abortionists (talking here about free women, not about abuse situations) and people that abort because they planned a holiday in the same slot.
Her body, her choice.
I think we should strive to reduce the need for abortions before we even consider talking about reducing access. Butnin very much think we should reduce the need (through maternity leave, public healthcare, better education funding, childcare..)
Why show a picture of a baby? Show a picture of an 8-week fetus. I'm pro choice because a fetus is not a baby.
It’s just an Image
I’m pro-choice, but it’s a choice I never want to have to make again. Mom made it for me as I was a tween, and it was from a violent event. As grateful as I am for what she did for me, I do hope that I will be forgiven at the day of judgement.
You’re Pro Death..
Pro Choice.
it’s important that the right person has the right to make the choice (with guidance as required) and that’s the woman.
@KatherinexPierce the other aspect that a lot of guys will not get is how long the decision hangs over a woman and how hard it can be.
A friend went through this about 30 years ago and still remembers.
I guess that you say that I am a little of both.
Sometimes things beyond our control happen. So in that case, I am Pro choice.
I am not in favor of using abortion for the lack of birth control or sex selection.
My personal values should not infringe on someone else's rights.
Should someone’s convenience infringe a baby’s right to live if you seen me murdering someone would you say my values don’t infringe your rights go about your day murdering people that inconvenience you?
I’m pro-minding-my-own-business-and-not-concerning-myself-with-the-actions-of-others.
I second this
I mean in a sense you would be correct. Regardless of how I personally view the matter I’m powerless in the decision making process. Unless of course I have the chance to vote on the issue
I’m both. When it comes to me, I’m pro life. But I don’t believe in making choices for others. It isn’t anyone’s business but theirs.
Well, this question has a picture of a baby. And think that most of us with any semblance of a soul would never want to harm that baby.
Pro-life. Abortion is okay when carrying out a full-term pregnancy carries a risk to the mother's and/or child's life. Otherwise, nope.
I prefer a situation where there's simply no NEED to chose.
But I see good reasons for abortion in specific cases.
I think that makes me 'pro-choice-tolerant'?
I'm a male and I'm a prochoice. I think if people understood what women go through, we would have more prochoice males. Anyhow, I believe in "my body, my choice" so no man has the right to control what a women does.
I'm pro choice. Having a choice gives you the option if you want the responsibility or you don't.
If dont want the responsibility then be responsible and stop screwing around with random people and being slutty
If you are pro choice, then choose to exercise control over your reproductive system and not get pregnant.
Problem solved.
Why did my comment get any thumbs down?
Are women not capable of chosing to take control of their reproductive systems and not get pregnant?
If so, that is a sad commentary.
I'm pro- mind your god dam business. People now a days get butt hurt if you disagree with them they forced thier opinions and believes. If I am enjoy life why the hell should I be getting all Karen mode over situation that doesn't concern me.
I’m pro choice abortion doesn’t sit easily with me but it’s a individual thing depending on so many different things so definitely pro choice and wouldn’t judge another woman for having a abortion
PRO CHOICE. HAHAHHA
Die you all haters.
Female Simps and male goats get pissed off and downvote because you only love to control other people's body. Also don't forget to be a vegetarian, then talk about pro life.
It’s inside the mother’s body, items their decision. I bet all pro lifer’s would have a change of tune if they were raped and impregnated from it.
You're a child. Go away for about four years.
I'm for both - you don't kill unborn children as a form of birth control.
Talk to your mommy and daddy - this is an adult forum.
you're a nasty person. I doubt many take you seriously on this forum.
@Ns9rvrv4vyv - And you're an immature child, demonstrating precisely why you're loathed here. Yes, I do not approve of children on this adult forum.
And quite the contrary to your little bit of whining, if you'll pay attention to the stats, I know that's hard for you cuz you're not that bright, but PAY ATTENTION - I've answered in excess of thirty thousand questions, too many of them are really dumb ones like yours. My MHO is 20% which means 1 in 5 answers are chosen as most helpful, and my rating is MASTER. So take your stupid little shaming tactics to your bedroom and consider just posting less and reading more. Maybe you'll actually learn something from this place.
I'm pro life simply because I'm studying biology and life starts with the fertilization. Also we should focus more on educating people about unprotected sex.
The idea that women shouldn't be able to decide what happens with something growing inside their pussies is ridiculous. Turn it around and have women decide what men should do with their dicks there world be a way going on.
Life is very sacred even when it brings you a lot of harshnesses, a mother could end up creating the next world leader, and knowing that a woman would end up aborting a potential like that to happen is quite unconscionable.
Pro choice, some people should not raise children because of their circumstances. They have the child beyond their control and you want it to be alive and become resentful because the mother was not ready in the first place?
I'm pro-choice. I don't particularly like the idea of women aborting children, but at the same time it's mostly fuck ups who do it, and it's a good thing that less of them breed.
Practical
@Jesus_is_the_guey
Indeed. It's Darwinism.
I actually just found this out like a month ago but Charles was actually opposed to eugenics and modern day “Darwinism” he was just explaining how natural evolution occurs
@Jesus_is_the_guey
I know. But what this actually is when you understand genetics is literally people with bad genetics choosing to weed themselves out of the gene pool voluntarily.
Evolution is driven by mutation right? Whether or not the mutation is beneficial depends on how much it helps you to survive and reproduce. A beneficial gene is known as an adaptive gene. A detrimental gene is known as a maladaptive gene.
In the state of nature those with maladaptive genes die early and don't reproduce because of poor physical health. Hunter-gatherers had 50% child mortality. It's harsh but that's one way nature weeds out the weak.
We live in modern civilisation with advanced medical technology. We don't live under Darwinian selection, meaning that those with maladaptive genes breed, survive and reproduce.
The brain accounts for 84% of the genome, meaning that there is more likely to be noticeable mutation of the mind than mutation of the body. Meaning that those with maladaptive genes have maladaptive minds and maladaptive ideas. The only reason it isn't noticeable to most is because they don't know that this is even happening.
One of the main signs of maladaption is the lack of desire to have children, and the desire to kill their own children. Their brains literally tell them "don't have children" so that they don't pass on their bad genes.
I was with you until the last part I’ve never heard of someone’s brain tell them they’re too inferior to breed but I agree with the rest especially with some genes being outdated and irrelevant like strength and aggression which is what got men this far now seems to work against us
@Jesus_is_the_guey
Their brain doesn't literally tell them not to breed in order to not spread their genes. No. What I mean is that they have no parental instincts at all as a result of the maladaption, and do what they can to not have children.
Those traits aren't out-dated. They'll become necessary again. Civilisations move in cycles:
Hard times create strong men
Strong men create good times
Good times create weak men
Weak men create hard times
All civilisations rise and fall. Good times come and go, as do wars and catastrophes. We're coming toward the end of the good times, believe me. When it comes to the hard times those traits will be needed again, and the weak men who think that they're "out-dated" will not survive.
Something that always interested me is what if a country attempted eugenics for a century would they create some type of superior being?
@Jesus_is_the_guey
I don't think so. There are places right now where people still live like our hunter gatherer ancestors, and they really do live under Darwinian selection. They're healthier than civilised people in general, but that's about it.
Not just based off of hunter gathering traits I’m talking about selesctube breedung by the government for other traits things like Iq and psychological disorders etc
@Jesus_is_the_guey
I'm not quite sure how that would go. More than likely it would fuck up somewhere. Nature is filled with checks and balances after all.
True
I am not a big government Trumptard. I am for freedom of choice! :)
Pro-Life.. Because I've seen what happens to a baby once the Abortion thing takes place and it is far from pretty..
In all honesty men's opinion on this topic don't matter in the end, but it's nice to hear their perspective on these kinds of discussions.
Women need to start taking responsibility for their own mistakes. Only white women see men as part of the problem.
@BuckU Actually my Mom intentionally gave birth to me.
She wanted my Dad to plant some seed and so he did
My mom wanted me too, she planned me and my brother.
@Laciandmaci that’s exactly what I’m saying. I wasn’t a mistake
@Laciandmaci it bothers me when people assume these things just cuz they don’t like the opinion i gave
@jack9949 I agree people are just mean, don't let them bother you. Many people plans a baby and many doesn't and people just like to say hey you were not planned.
@Laciandmaci its really not a funny joke given the ugly reality of what happens to many “unplanned” people
Exactly!!! They can neglect or harm the child, treat it bad etc.
@Laciandmaci or abort them...
yep! exactly!
Why would only white women see men as part of the problem? And which problem do you mean?
@likelyOK I’m talking about feminism in particular
pro death... first, start with all the stupid people.
Lmfao 😂
I'm pro birth control. If you're properly responsible you should almost never find yourself in this situation.
The question is not well formed, "pro choice" is a euphemism. There is only pro life, or pro infanticide. Genocide is very serious crime, so you better be the former.
Pro choice we as a modern society need to have the choice when to have and not have a baby. It will be better for everyone that way.
Yea i really don't understand how so many guys can be pro life 🤷
I am pro choice. It's the woman's body. She should be able to decide whether to have the baby or not. If a woman gets raped she should not be forced to carry the baby
Try not being whore's or use protection, a woman that repeatedly gets pregnant by multiple men and then kills them to avoid responsibility is complete gutter trash.
I'm a mix of both. For instance, I'd be fine with DNA testing and people aborting if the child is probably going to be autistic, down syndrome, or gay.
Surprising how your name is “Rational Male” but you said abort if they’re autistic, have Down syndrome, or gay. Now using your “rational mind” how would you determine those things before birth? Enlighten me.
Obviously a troll.
@lukeclej Prenatal testing for down syndrome is pretty well established and has resulted in Europe's down syndrome rate dropping like a rock. Prenatal testing for autism and being gay aren't at the same level yet but hey, science keeps moving forward so who knows what will be reliable in 5 years.
Okay I’ll take the Down syndrome point you’ve made. I wasn’t really worried about that. I was more addressing the autism and gay thing. Autism can show up and any time in the persons life. While yes I’m sure it can be genetic. And being gay? Come on now. No one is really born gay. It’s usually from trauma in life that causes one to be gay or trans.
@lukeclej Actually inclined to agree. Anecdotal story was in college in like 2012 a gay youth came from a nonprofit for gay/lesbian/trans homeless youth and talked about how such a high percent of homeless youth are gay and have been raped, etc.
No one dared ask if there was a link between the high rate of a child being raped/assaulted and later identifying as gay.
I know. It’s quite sad actually how no one addresses that’s usually how they become gay or trans. People will continue to lie to us all just to destroy the world we live in. Prepare yourself and do what’s best for you and your local community.
No choice. being pregnant. Is a responsible. Not a inconvenience.
I’m Pro choice and I don’t even know why men are arguing against abortion when it doesn’t even happen to them and never will😂
I would never be with a woman who is willing or did kill her own child. A woman who would kill her child is capable of anything.
The asker is underage. Underage persons should not even be talking about abortion in this way because they shouldn't be in sexual situations in the first place.
Pro choice for whom? Not the father, and certainly not the unborn child. Once society pulls its head of its collective ass and gives men the same choice of whether they want to be a parent, then it will be pro choice. Until then, fuck off.
So you are okay with people choosing to kill an innocent life?
They don't like factual opinions, only opinions that match their narrative.
Factual opinions are inconvenient to people with no logical argument.
Killing a baby is not a choice, it's murder.
They say that an embryo is not a human life. Then what kind of life is it?
I'm pro choice, because it saves lives.
And I'd rather have the option be there for those who need it.
I am pro choice. Who are we to decide for other women? Do we raise that baby? I don't think so.. it is their choice.
Don't be silly, wrap your willy. And if you were raped shame, but don't punish the child you're carrying for your misfortune. Put him up for adoption
You should have used the word “Scrape “ instead of Shame!
I don't understand how anybody could murder a child. Look at the baby in the photo, would you want to murder that baby?
Its because that is a baby not a fetus and you're talking about murder not abortion
@Aiko_E_Lara What do you think a fetus is? That baby you see in the picture was a fetus too. Just because you can't see the baby and just because leftist say a fetus isn't a baby doesn't make it true and it's not true.
A fetus is a fetus and a human baby is a human baby. therefore they wouldn't be called fetus. It is basically just like a sperm cell is also a sperm cell despite the fact that they're also living things. There goes that "just because" reasoning i see a lot. It's predictable. When we can also say just because you say it is a human being, that doesn't make your truthful either. Science give facts but they don't give point of views.
@Aiko_E_Lara You might want to start asking yourself why it is that many scientist that set out to prove there is no existence of God have converted to Christianity. That alone should tell you scientist get it wrong. Your argument is that a fetus isn't a baby or a human being. So assume there is a fetus and there is no abortion. What is going to eventually be birthed? Will it be a block of wood? No? Will it be a rock? No? Answer this question. What will become of the fetus given there is no miscarriage or abortion?
Because god is something that isn't objective and nobody has personally see god. While you can personally see a fetus, a fetus is objectively a fetus. You don't matter how many scientist say that a fetus is a human being, because there are also scientists saying that a fetus is not a human being. While there are scientists themselves, i wouldn't really say you are better than them. What i'm still saying is abortion is abortion and killing is killing. Otherwise it wouldn't be called abortion by to be called murder from the start. Also when you say a fetus will become a human being, that statement itself has a word that basically contradicts your views. If you it "will" become a human being, that exactly means it's not yet. Of course it will not turn into a rock or anything but the thing is it is not "yet" like how you say it "will" because i can bring up sperm cells as a same argument.
Can *physically see a fetus
@BuckU Yeah the photo argument changes everything doesn't it? Nope, still the same conversation and it's still about child murder regardless of a faked photo or not, still looks like a baby and baby murder is the argument, not photo's and scammers. But thanks for exposing yourself.
What I said still stands by the way.
I'm pro choice for what the laws should be. For myself, I wouldn't want an abortion unless carrying the baby would put me at risk.
Let people make their own decisions is what I think.
I'm pro choice and the dad should also be part of making the choice if he chooses.
im both. I think its messed up how some chicks can get as many abortions as they want. I also think a woman has the right to decide.
I am pro choice. I don't want to live in a country where the government can tell people what to do with their bodies.
Men shouldn’t have a say on that. They don’t have our reproductive organs and aren’t the ones who will be greatly affected by pregnancy.
And I’m 100% sure if men were in our shoes they would get an abortion.
I am pro-choice myself and always have been. as a man, i believe it is up to the woman to decide on that.
I support choice not abortion. Big difference which prolife can't see
Why do you not support abortion
Why do you even want me to support abortion? Are you going to take pregnancy for granted?
I’m just curious mate
The answer is already there. Because i support choice. There's no giving further elaboration and reasoning unless you disagree.
Update: basically like how girls just like to become feminist and decide how men feels.
I'm not talking about women in general but most feminist are women
"I support choice"
"Abortion is a choice"
"I don't support that choice."
W0o0oOw
@BuckU You're still missing the point. Some people are pro abortion. If a pregnant woman likes to keep that fetus as a choice, then I also support that choice. Simply in the word choice itself. Abortion is not the only choice made.
I'm neither, but I agree with women who are pro choice.
I think it should be used for sexual assault victims and not as a form of birth control
Pro Choice, but not for the reasons you would like to hear. In fact it should be mandatory in some cases.
