Look at where his paternal-grandparents were born
And THAT makes him German? Do you think he is not an American?
He’s German-American. So both an American and German.
Is he a German citizen? No.All of us have ancestors who came from other countries, primarily Western Europe. My ancestors came from England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Germany, and Switzerland. You know what I call myself? . . . American!
You are European-American then.
So there is no one who is simply American?
I’d say it’s Native Americans but I dont know whether they are left in America
But Native Americans emigrated here from northeast Asia. So no one is an American.
Yes but Native Americans were in America for milenniums even before Christopher Columbus arrived there. So Native Americans are not genetically/physically similar to Northeast Asians. Today’s European Americans are genetically/physically almost the same with Europeans who live in Europe because it did not passed even one milennium since white people settled in America
Okay, but people in Germany and not genetically distinct from people in Poland, so how does genetics affect this issue? When you call someone German, that usually means that they were born in Germany or live there now.
I’m not supposed you to give you an antrophological lesson rn. Go fuck yourself.
umm alright, you're the one who asked the question and you didn't seem to know that Trump isn't German... 😂
Take a look at where his paternal-grandparents are from. Brat.
How does that make me a brat? Trump isn't German, he's an American. Born and raised in NY. His paternal ancestors and descent is from Germany, making him ethnically German, just like millions of Americans. With your logic might as well say he's Scottish, his mother was more Scottish than his father was German.
He’s an American with German-Scottish ancestry. Kiddo.
the fact that you just said this proves your whole logic for this question was just ridiculous.
I thought you were Thai lol
It's... ''complicated'' :DI was born as and look like a German, but the absence of 'patriotism' made me look for greener pastures.
Yes but he still has German blood
Yes, but the US is built on immigration. So by the premise of the nation he is indeed fully American regardless of European heritage.
That’s also the reason why America is the last nation to say anything about immigration.
Him ancestors being German does make him German as well you simpleton
No it does not. Holding citizenship of the USA and Germany would make Trump German as well - you simpleton.
@kingofthellamas Citizenship does not determine ethnicity - now get the fuck out of here you fucking cunt!
His paternal-grandparents are German
Okay... wow he has german ancestry, that still just makes him AmericanNo wonder he just loves european immigrationAnd there’s literally no point in saying kiddo when there’s a few years between us. Oh no, how horrible is it that I didn’t know his grandparents were german. Okay...
By the way who are you talking with this? Hitler? “another famous german leader who was racist and an idiot and a massive asshole”
Yeah. I know hitler was a murderer and orchestrated the holocaust so I didn’t mention that in comparing them two togetherGod sorry I completely misread the question, I thought you were trying to compare trump with a famous german but I see yeah... trump is considered American, he has german ancestry and he’s technically 3rd generation immigrant but he’s American, take it as american-german if you want but I don’t think he’s close enough to his german roots
I dont think you are mad at Hitler because he arranged the holocaust. I think you are mad at him because he did fuck your Brit ancestors up xD
You know Hitler was not German, right? He was in fact an Austrian.
Are you stupid? Of course I’m mad that hitler orchestrated the holocaust, he killed millions of people for no good reason but because of their religion or their race or disability or political beliefs or just because they spoke out. And how the hell did he fuck up my British ancestors huh? My ancestors aren’t British and correct me If I’m wrong, but we defeated the nazis and hitler offed himself because he was an arrogant asshole so I don’t know what you’re on about
You guys couldn’t do shit if America and Russia didn’t get involved in the war. I know your ancestors are Brit because it says “From United Kingdom” on your profile description. Given that fact, would you except me to think your ancestors are Polish?
@kingofthellamas No need to play a word game. I dont understand why someone even would need to make such a distinction. Austrians are genetically/culturally/linguistically/religiously/racially/ethnically are the same with Southern Germans (mainly Bavarians) . That’s the reason why Austrian German looks rude just like Bavarian German does and.
Well sure but we did hold off germany during the blitz with the raf plus dunkirk. America of course did and helped a lot in the pacific and Europe whilst russia of course dealt the biggest blow in russia when hitler decided to stupidly invade them. And I’m sorry but are you actually defending the nazis? Also, have you never heard of immigration? 😂 I wouldn’t expect you to assume anything about my ancestors based on the country I live in
It's not a word game. It's a statement of fact. Hitler was Austrian.
I’m not supposed to give you an antrophological lesson rn. You can go fuck yourself.
I think someone needs to give you spelling lessons, as well as paddle your ass.
Lol. Where him being born does not matter. His paternal-grandparents are German. By your logic, if he was born in China, would that make him Chinese?
If he was born and raised in China, yes. By your logic, the only Americans that exist are the native Americans and the other 99% of America's population aren't Americans.
Yeah. 99% of today’s Americans are not ethnically Americans. They are only citizens and residents of the United States of America. And mostly descendants of European immigrants and African slaves.
Aye, that's factually true. But what is an American if not a nationality? American, German, these are concepts, nothing more. To call someone either, without being in reference to their nationality, is useless information. Genetically, they're simply human and differences are so minor as to be irrelevant.
An “American” is mostly likely said for someone who got a US citizen. It doesn’t imply an ethnicity.
I never said it didn't. I said it was useless information.
You can not ignore where your ancestors are from. Trump’s is of German-Scottish descent with born and raised in the US.
Doesn’t matter. He’s still of German descent.
Ok and what benefit does knowledge of this bring anyone?
His paternal-grandparents are German. So he’s of German descent
Because his paternal grandparents were German, that makes him German, as in, the most famous German? That's stretches the definition of being a German, beyond the breaking point. And by the way, Hitler is the most famous German, and Trump does have a lot in common with him.
He is German-American
Your question did not ask about anyone who could claim German ancestors. Your question asked if they were German. The two are very different things.
They are the same thing - I’m not supposed to give you some antrophological lesson right now. If you go on to discuss with me I’m gonna delete your comment and block you rn.
He comes the second after Trump
She is the leader of Germany
@Asker How can you not know that Angela is a woman? She has one of the world's most eminent and longest standing political leaders. Are you really that dumb?
Yeah because he was?
He’s also of English, small amounts of Scottish, Irish, German, Welsh, Swiss-German, French, possibly remote African descent through the mother’s side. But obviously his African ancestors’ gens biologically must have been predominant so that he has a black skin color.
Your ethnicity does not define your nationality.
I didn’t say it did.
Well we agree then :)
Then do not comment you fucking dickhead
