I put my life on the line during the Vietnam War. I did it to save lives as a search and rescue specialist. I went through a hell you can't even imagine, while you play your combat games in the comfort of your armchairs. Don't tell me I don't deserve special consideration when applying for a job.

No, because I don't agree with the government telling private citizens what they can and cannot do. That said, I do respect organizations that respect the military and help them out when they have returned to civilian life. So if they do it out of personal choice great, but I don't want government to dictate anything.

Some things, yes. When I was in the USA there were like special deals at cellphone carriers, which I find a bit silly. But if we’re talking about e. g. making getting education a bit easier in terms of cost, welfare benefits and such, yes.
