Every once in a while I get my husband on this and he thinks I was serious. (I'm better lying when adjacent, not opposite him.)
And sometimes online. Sarcasm doesn't translate very well in text form with strangers so I rarely do it in that context.
I don't mind sarcasm. Much prefer it over puns, for instance. I dislike puns.
But no, I'm not really sarchotic.

Took a lot of practice with my dry humor and the best tip i can give is know your audience. The more you know the audience the more you can lean on being more sarcastic.

I find it irritating when I can’t tell if someone is kidding or not. Some people who are like that will not care if people ever know whether they are serious or not. I don’t understand why they would be okay with that.

100%. I often find myself looking cross eyed at people thinking: “I can’t believe this idiot thinks I’m serious.” Apparently making jokes with one part of the joke way out of proportion to the situation will lead people to believe you’re serious.
