What do you think about the term Person of Colour?

I'm disappointed to see it spreading to the UK. The phrase first showed up (in American discourse, anyway) in Jim Crow laws, and should be viewed as the racial slur that it is. Given how often I've seen it tossed around here, I'm starting to think that's not how it's seen.
It's really dumb and patronizing to them, it's like if someone referred to me as "your majesty" because they think I'm so sensitive and fragile that I'll blow up on them if they don't cradle me. Those who use that term are doing the same thing to those other people and it's racially divisive as well.

It's definitely the trendy term among the intersectional left. But I fail to see any meaningful difference between "people of color" and "colored people." And we all know the SJWs would freak out about the latter. In actuality, all people have some color to their skin so the term could literally be used to refer to all people. But of course that's not a usage that the left wants. They want POC to be a label that refers to supposedly oppressed victims.
It's ludicrous since all people have some color or else people would be transparent.
While we're at it, black is the absence of color while white is the totality of all colors. (Get a prism and split it out!)
Why do we even need to mention race, color, etc, it's person.
Retarded, anyone is a person of color and it's indistinguishable from colored person.
Just name the groups. All of our struggles are not the same. It's a blanket term.
And if I called you colored people you think it was racist
It should mean the exact same thing as Colored Person but for some reason it doesn't.
It's dumb, because we're all people of color.
I'll just continue calling myself mixrace
It's stupid.
I like it it is cool
I don’t care
