No. The Bible clearly states conservative values. If you ignore the Bible you cannot know Jesus. If you don't know Jesus you cannot be Christian.

Not really. The right worships Christian’s and thus they flock to that side.

That depends. My answer is pretty complicated and probably can't receive the proper treatment here and would probably require a whole MyTake. However, I'll still give it a shot.
First, which Christians are you asking about? To the best of my knowledge, there are around 40,000 different denominations of Christianity. All of them claim to follow Jesus Christ and the Bible, despite their differences in belief and theology. Therefore, they can't all be true. As for me, I'll argue this from the Catholic perspective, since the Catholic Church is the only one that goes directly back to Christ.
That said, it's important to begin by noting that objectively speaking, a Catholic cannot be in favor of abortion, homosexuality, same-sex marriage, transgenderism, and no, not even racism or slavery and still be in good standing.
On some matters, there can be reasonable disagreements with each other in good faith. We might disagree on, say, how much of a role the government and law should have in certain situations; the Church holds to what is called the principle of subsidiarity, which means that problems should be solved at the lowest possible level. We might disagree on how best to handle issues like poverty and immigration. We could disagree on how to best to address LGBT matters. In fact, even things like the death penalty and war aren't so cut-and-dry in the eyes of the Church.
Now, if by "good liberal", you mean being pro-choice, pro-LGBT, and so forth, that ultimately depends on which church someone belongs to. But again, with 40,000 different options to choose from (which is not at all a good thing), the waters get murky.No. Modern Western liberalism is in many ways in stark contrast to what Christianity teaches. For example -
Liberals say abortion is OK and should be allowed. For Christianity, abortion is an evil, like murder.
Liberals say homosexuality must be accepted and gay marriage legal. Christianity says that homosexuality is a sin that society must fight against.
Liberals say that marriage is not so important, people can live together without marriage if they want. Christianity says that any sexual intercourse outside of marriage is undesirable.
Liberals say that women should be equal to men in every aspect of society, work on an equal footing with men, be independent and pursue a career. Christianity says that the role of women is to be mothers, and they must obey their husbands.
Of course, this does not mean that conservatives are necessarily good Christians - there are many things on which conservatives are also at odds with Christianity. In general, both sides believe in values that are largely at odds with faith. But liberals are definitely much worse off in that regard.I think some folks here are going to be really surprised when they finally meet Christ and finds out He doesn't support their politics.
The question isn't phrase right. It's can a liberal be a good Christian and the answer is yes.
There are millions of Christians who are liberal around the world and many are good and decent people who love God, go to church weekly and read their Bibles.
You Americans think or have been educated and brainwashed through the school system and media that all liberals and conservatives think the same or have the same values which they don't depending the region of the world they are from.
American conservatives are totally different from Saudi Arabia conservatives in terms of values and social perspectives and the same for liberals.
A traditional liberal in latin America isn't the same in values as the typical curren American liberal that believes in abortion and gay marriage or supports LGBT.Depends. You can't be in favor of abortion and be a Christian. that's not how it works. Nor can you believe in no fault divorce or divorce at all unless the other person cheated. Nor can you participate in LGBT anything. So you have to ask yourself what you believe.
Well it's not that simple.
Because while most liberals enjoy rewriting history to fit their ideals the bible is not that flexible.
The most basic concept is homosexuality, the bible is clear on it being a sin and any good Christian cannot partake in it let alone accept it in society.
So to be both it's not so simple. Perhaps a person who is sympathetic to liberal ideas vut isn't completely an extreme leftist could still be a good Christian but even then they'd be on pretty thin ice far as sins go.I'm a Christian. In the past 2 years I've been called a communist AND a fascist. For the the same comment.
I used to describe myself as a "conservative" Christian, but the term now conjures images of "Maga" crackpots so I don't use it now. I considered the term "liberal" Christian, but that throws up images of the far Left these days, and they're as far removed from Christ as the far Right are.
So I'll just say I'm a Christian. Don't judge my label, get to know me personally and look at my fruit. There are some Christian values setup with the democratic agenda just as there there are values that aren’t. Same goes for the Republican Party. The Bible instructs is of love and forgiveness within the New Testament, yet conservatives favor capital punishment. The Bible instructs us to value all of gods creations, yet democrats favor abortion. God is the almighty of our laws, not politicians. I don’t think Jesus Christ was a Republican or Democrat. Pharisees and gentiles all thought Jesus came to save them of the Roman Empire. He had much bigger plans. The church is all too divided right now. We’re letting politics get in the way of our faith and fellowship
Considering abortion, homosexuality, transvestitism, transgenderism, eroding national sovereignty in favor of no nations, intentional failure of local governments to punish criminals, allowing nationwide riots and failing to suppress them intentionally, handouts for the lazy, and the push to remove the name of God from our currency and public buildings…. no. In fact anyone who supports any of these things allies themselves against God and is not only not a good Christian but is no Christian at all. One cannot claim Christ and stand in defiant opposition to even 1 of his decrees and still claim to be Christ’s servant while working against Christ’s decrees.
what the actual? shouldn't this go both ways? a Good Christian and a Good CONservative? Lets delve shall we..
Lets examine a few.. Thou Shalt not Kill. Okay you commit a murder (REGARDLESS OF COLOR AND POLITICAL PARTY) But... Lets go FURTHER. Who loves hunting deer...
Thou Shalt not Commit Adultery.. Again. to echo someone.. BOTH SIDES ARE TO BE BLAMED...
Thou Shalt Not Bare False Witness Against Thy Neighbor. Election Fraud.. When THERE WAS NOT ANY!!!
Thou Shalt Not covet thy neighbors house. How many things do you people BORROW but NEVER RETURN.. Weed Wacker. Shovel. Eggs.. Milk..Yes,
Christ spoke about feeding the poor, healing the sick, having compassion, He was anti-capitalist and spoke against following rules blindly. He also taught pacifism.
Most of these are liberal values. You can't really be christ-like and conservative. But you also can't believe in magic and be liberal. So you have to be somewhere in the middle. Or you could just go the path most traveled which is the hypocrisy route: that is, forget about actually being christ-like and just say you are, because the subjective opinions of other people have great deal more impact on your life than the objective judgement of your god.
Can a good Christian exist without being considered an oxymoron in concept and conceptual meaning🥊?
You feel good people I know who called themselves Christians I believe are good in spite of their religious beliefs rather than because of them. I don't think I'll ever get on board with the whole idea about scaring people and intimidating them into being good people by treating them like crap threatening to do more bad things to himOf course. As a Christian you understand God gave you free will to make your own choices just like liberals want… but God will hold you accountable for these choices as well.
Not a religious man but that’s my thought anyway. As a Christian myself I'd have to hear more precisely what they agree on with the Liberal side and not. The Bible teaches that some things are unnecessary to quarrel over, smaller or minor differences in practices or beliefs like what days are held sacred and such, if it is done for God's glory. And some things are not up to individual people but are universal truths, like what is sin and not.
I don´t think that´s possible because as a Christian I´d say I can´t be good because only God is good.
Nothing I do that is good makes me good, it´s just something good I did.A good Christian can be a good liberal but they can't be a good conservative because no such thing exists.
Yes. Ask Jesus - the original social justice warrior.
A real Christian IS a liberal because that's what Christianity is about: Looking out for each other, loving your neighbor etc...I think so but technically the Christian mandate to honor God and Christ first in all things conflicts with the liberal mandate to not do that
No. Liberalism contradicts the Bible and Christianity.
