Some people grew up in an old-fashioned or conservative environment that was created by their parents. There would have been plenty of elders for them to learn things from.

People who think in binary terms believe that there s is only liberal (Democrat) and conservative (Republican). From that standpoint, it can make sense to identify as conservative as opposed to the type of freedom hating liberals who disdain the constitution and Bill of Rights and love authoritarianism. The kind of liberals who think speech should be subject to censorship; want to strip people of the ability to defend themselves against aggression; support vandalism, rioting, looting, arson and terrorism; want open borders; would force people to conform and comply, wear masks, social distance and have foreign substances injected into their bodies; believe that "white" people are inherently racist and should act "less white"; think that impressionable young children should be taught to question their gender; would force women's-only facilities and sports to allow access by men who think they are women; and so on.

Both parties are neoliberal and imperialist. They work for whomever pays them, which means that they don't represent The People. The Democratic party certainly does not espouse liberalism (belief in things like freedom, equal justice under the law, tolerance, objectivity, generosity, broad mindedness, limitations on government power).

Liberals and conservatives, alike, who have been paying attention for a while have dropped the ideological and politically partisan labels and begun thinking independently. In doing so, they find if possible to come together and brothers and sisters, friends and neighbors.

The conservative and liberal labels are the problem here.

Neither party owns critical thinking or particular opinions/conclusions. People just associate particular opinions with those parties.
People can come to different hypotheses and be perfectly rational. A young person may develop the hypothesis/opinion that open immigration is potentially a huge problem while simultaneously believing climate change is real and an immediate threat we have to act against. What now? Do we just throw our hands up and call them a moderate?

The labels are the issue.

I like the idea of conserving the fruits I grow during the summer.
Conservative to me means preserving certain timeless ideas that were around for hundreds of years. Literally nobody is trying to conserve the good old days just because they liked a certain situation they remember from ten years ago. So age is not a condition.

One isn't a conservative or liberal innately but rather heavily influenced from their forming years.

In other words most people are brainwashed from their youth by family, friends and peers so, in this case of your question, they are trying to conserve whatever system they were born into wheather good or bad because it's far easier to think within the box and not challenge established norms.

Religious background and doesn't believe lies professor tells , it is possible. I don't think they are as conservative as me , but they can get more conservative.

You take long haired hippies protesting in 1960's. Now they seem like Abraham Lincoln compared to the knuckle heads today burning down cities, having sex changes , and rioting , and wanting gov't to tuck them to bed every night.

It depends on how their lifestyle was growing up. I have been conservative back before it was fashionable. Most of the kids I went to school with were all hippies.
