For decades,... Clark has been chasing after Lois. For decades, Clark & Lois have been an item.
I know this is off topic but just stay with me on this for I am making a point.
Ian Flemings creation of James Bond 007 has always been a Caucasian male. There had been some rumors that whoever is writing & producing the next James Bond film wants to either have a female 007. A female Bond I'm guessing,.. or an African American James Bond.
If James Bond has always been a Caucasian male for many decades, ever since Ian Fleming created him to be that way,... then why the hell do these film companies want to make changes to the character now? That literally makes no sense at all!
Same thing with Clark Kent, Superman. If Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster have created Superman to be exactly on how he is,... as in a heterosexual, superpowered, human-male appearing, Kryptonian who has special feelings & who is mainly & only in-love with an Earthly woman that is Lois Lane, (that should only imply he's attracted to women) after all these decades,... why does DC want to change that part of him now? The guy is perfect the way he is. To change his sexual status literally makes no sense.

Superman a faggot now? Good for him I guess.
Confusion can be cleared up when their body responds to the female or male body. As for bad role models... to say that is judging all without knowing the individuals. We cannot say they are all bad people just cause 1 might be. I mean if Jeff Bezos was gay would he not still be an amazing person to learn things from and look up to? Cannot a male have a female role model and vice versa?
I hear many people scared for their children but I'd rather see stats on the matter before I hate other people for reason.
I understand there are many sexual and gender identities in real life, but it’s always been over the top ridiculous to force that onto a fictional character. No need to make everything political. I mean, it takes away from the real story and character development.

I think this makes a horrible role model for children and causes confusion where there should be none.
I welcome other sexualities or diversities in the comics but the constant change to source material instead of introducing other characters or acknowledging others that are diverse in comics is a bit unusual. Take DC, For Lucifer and Constantine, from the beginning, both characters are bi sexual, Bat girl is bisexual or Gay, etc.
It’s fine to me because I’m not really effected but when we just switch it up to pander to a group instead of thinking of new characters and giving it a more authentic backstory and interesting story seems like lazy writing to meI think it's rather an insult to bisexuals- a way of saying "It's important to us that there are bi people in our comics, but not so much that we're willing to write a new one". Of course, most of them CAN'T write a decent bisexual character, but that's because they're lousy writers, not that you can't have good bi characters.
A tip for assessing your skills as a writer: examine whether you think a character's demographic characteristics are the core of their personality. If you answered "Yes", then find another job. Sexuality isn't character.I'm more surprised by how strong a reaction it's getting. I honestly don't understand why it matters. I'm straight, this character isn't for me, and that's totally fine. Not everything is made for me. I recognize and accept this. But there are other people in the world who this will mean a whole lot to. I'm glad they get to have it. It takes nothing away from me at all. But then there are people who are freaking out over it, like the world revolves around them and if it wasn't made for them specifically then it shouldn't exist. I just don't understand that mentality.
I don't care if a character is bisexual, I don't care if a character is gay or trans. But to take a character with the long established history like Superman and now all the sudden say oh he's bisexual, it just seems forced and inappropriate. Wouldn't it make more sense to create a new character that was bisexual? Hell why not have a new character be introduced in the Superman comics that was bisexual. I'm all for diversity, but not every single established character needs to be LGBT, and this is coming from a guy who's bisexual himself.
Yeah not a problem, it’s about time gay and bisexual boys had decent role models, rather than the need to be a big strong heterosexual guy to succeed.
Society has made it really hard for any teen (especially boys) to have role models that share their sexuality. English league (top ones) have no opening gay or bisexual players. The same holds true in most major sports, I think American football has the odd one that has come out.And yet the US comic book industry will still be scratching its head in confusion when no less than ten manga series from Japan will independently outsell the entirety of US comics, again. You can't expect success from revising a character older than most people alive today with niche tropes aimed at a tiny niche group of people who by and large don't even read comics.
I have never been a fan of the character in general. So All I can do is shrug my shoulders. About the only Superman comic I ever owned and read was Death of Superman. DC should screw with everyone. Make Superman and Doomsday a couple. I'd buy that for a dollar!
Just what we need... a super-strong 'alpha' capable of copulating anyone / thing that moves!
"With great power, comes great responsibility"... but WHOM is capable
of IMPOSING 'restraint' on such a being?
Gonna develop kryptonite-based spray mace & ammunition?
"WHOA! ... big fella!" #Me TooLook it’s okay that they do this. Who am I to tell a company not to entertain how they want? Mind you I won’t be a part of it and fuck DC anyway.
But let’s be frank… men dating men is probably the closest men can get to happiness these days -.- you women ain’t up to the task. Ide never date a man but a kick ass roomie that fishes would make most men happy lmao let’s go back to the bachelor days guys where 2-3 men share a huge house and do what they want.
P. S. No homo.I mean.. does that even count? Superman is not human, as in he is supposed to be an extraterrestrial alien. If we take someone attracted to some alien species its not like I am sitting here wondering if its a "female" alien or a "male" alien or even if our human concept of gender makes ANY sense for them.
This isn't the real superman.
This is his son, who grew up to be the new superman.
The original superman is straight his son is bisexual.
Since this is their company and characters they have all the right in the world to reach out to another audience by giving them a gay superhero to relate to.
It's called marketing strategy, how do we reach a new audience?
Give them a gay superhero to relate to.Lucky Superman. Makes sense if you think about it, if anyone was at risk of a "he was too powerful to say no to!" Metoo claim it would be him and Lowis is definitely the ladder clambering nut job to do it...
I think the last guy to play superman evern said he doesn't date because of the metoo risk. This LGBTQ agenda is really being pushed hard on young people.
It's okay that they're doing this. But it's still dumb. It just feels like pandering.
Personally, just create an original character that's bi.
Batman is cool, and I wouldn't mind him coming out as anything. But I've always fucking hated superman, even when he was in the closet. So it's bad, cus now I wanna keep hating him without being titled homophobic.
lgbt has gotten to the point to where you can't even give a legitimate reason for why it's toxic. So all of our greatest minds who could very well convince millions of people for why this shit needs to be illegal, are forced to shut up or give braindead responses like "Oh it's their company, it's marketing. And besides, sexuality is 100% biologically determined and not influenced by society"
It's usually the last attempt at sales, when you have to blatantly use sex to sell.
DC will probably be closing in a few years as it just isn't as good anymore.
