There was a guy at my high school who claimed he was a transgender female. This way he could enter the girls locker room and restrooms. Restrooms no big deal we each have our own stalls.

The locker room, with showers was more a of a concern. As we saw a girl with a dick taking showers.

On graduation day he came out that he wasn't transgender he just wanted to see girls in person rather than online.

Main stream media won't focus on cases like this, says they are rare.

Right now there is a petition to allow parents to put their kids in charter schools and have the state transfer the funds to them. I would work to help that become more real, this way parents could choose to move their children to charter schools and have government funds move with the child to a school that won't have this in it.

While I think it is over blown about nudity, I was one of the girls that let this transgender girl see me shower it pissed me the hell off that he lied about it. Nudity not a big deal but the way he did it just so sad that he had to lie... such a loser.

Drag Queen Story Hour been around since 2015 and mostly in public libraries.

Maybe I'm just insensitive, but is biology still a thing? I understand that gender dysphoria is a real psychological disorder and I'm all for using correct pronouns when asked, but from a scientific standpoint you're still a man or a women until surgerical and hormonal modifications administered to give the superficial appearance of the opposite gender without all the bells and whistles of being naturally born as that gender.

Personally, it makes me uncomfortable. Children should focus on growing and learning the body they were born with before returning to the character customization screen.

If they start including transgender education in school, I would prefer it done in highschool so they can make their own choices. Starting such education in elementary/middle school is just going to convince a generation of impressionable children to want to become transgender/drag like their nice teacher.

Sexualization of children is completely unacceptable, and that's exactly what they're doing especially with the younger ones. If I had kids in such an institution, I'd be either moving them to another school or begin homeschooling immediately, and if I caught on to so much as a whiff of sexual harassment or pornographic material being provided in classrooms or the library, then I would bury them in court. I would not offer the opportunity to resign before pressing charges like many others have over the last couple years.

I got snipped years ago to ensure I don't have kids. So I say go for it. But I question a lot of the support people are throwing behind it. Because a lot of times people only support something when it conforms to their views. The moment it does not, the pitch forks and torches quickly come out.

Something told me if people who practiced the Occult wanted to come to a school and talk to kids about the Occult the idea wouldn't get much support from the people that support transgendered people doing the same.

As others have said, this is drag, not transgender. You can be a MtF transgendered woman and wear nothing but a tank top and boxer shorts all day and still identify as a woman and transition medically.

To answer the question though, I'd be stoked that LGBT is being represented in some way. Our kids school has been super welcoming to my wife and I and frankly, I'd be fine with transgendered individuals coming to read to the kids. Hell, there could be a transgendered teacher there now for all I know. It's not my business to know the sexual organs of their educators. My kids get a great education and that's all that matters.

Those getting worked up about it, ask yourselves why. This isn't like grade school and girls can't give you cooties. Someone being gay can't make you gay by osmosis. Drag queens can show you how to look fabulous, but they aren't making you get into a costume. Finally, being transgendered and reading a book to a kid isn't going to make a kid question their gender.

It might however give a kid already questioning their gender hope that they aren't alone in this world.

This just shows how demented many of our leaders are that they are so hell bent on shoving this stuff down our throats that they'd introduce it to school and a class full of grade schoolers... for this fringe, fringe... minuscule segment of the huge population.

Having said that, I think these types of movements have absolutely nothing to do with schools.

The school is there to teach you to write, read, count, develop your mind etc.

Especially since it is clearly propaganda, and to think that this kind of intervention will reduce discrimination is a mistake, on the contrary it will increase it.

I respect transgender people etc, but not the LGBTQ community and lobbies

I would teach my children to respect everyone regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, and social level.

But the school must remain a place of learning and certainly not be at the service of an ideology

You can homeschool your kids. I personally think nobody should force its religion, vegan lifestyle or lbgt idealogy on kids. In my experience people are hypocritical when they dont want school to teach transgender topics which i agree but also want school to teach fairytales like religion. I remember many people who are traumatized when they were kids because of religion but teaching lbgt to kids ain't better. Let the kids alone and there is no need to confuse kids. Let them figure out alone what their sexuality etc is. I have heard that there are people who think they are trans due the current non binary movement
although they ain't. As a result there are detrans people. Angelina jolie's kid was called trans just because she was a tomboy.

But if the 'trans movement' cropped up at my kid's school (Don't currently have a kid, just a hypothetical scenario) I would just want to make sure they weren't being taught lies about the trans community. I probably would have already taught them about everything about it before it came up at their school.

If you are part of the LGBTQ community science has actually concluded that those people have something wrong with their brains so this should be treated as a medical illness and dealt with accordingly and they should not be teaching kids that it’s ok to be LGBTQ.

One that is Drag and sometimes they do fun events and volunteer to read as you can imagine they have a lot of energy and personality what child wouldn’t want that when reading. If i had kids, I’d Consider pulling them out of the school. But theyre gonna cross that situation even on the streets like if just at a grocery store. So I’d tell them that others can dress and act as they please but that does not mean they should allow themselves to be influenced by such behavior
