Is being anti-vax unpatriotic?

Patriotic: having or expressing devotion to and vigorous support for one's country.
You could easily argue that refusing a vaccine that can help save lives of the people in your country is not very patriotic.
You could also argue that given a nation which prides itself on freedom of its individuals to make their own decisions; patriotism/devotion to those values is based on the foundation of thinking for yourself and making your own decisions, rather than blindly following whatever authority has dictated.
I don't have a horse in the race, as I don't feel strongly one way or the other. I'm just playing devil's advocate.
@zeitgeist057 you could then argue that your taking away others freedoms by not getting vaccinated.
@Razp_Sorbet that's a bit of a stretch. To some extent when you exercise your freedom you limit someone else's. Standing on the sidewalk means you are taking away other's freedom to stand in that same spot. etc, etc. But it's manipulative to attempt to force someone to act out of guilt, or a made up obligation to others. No one is obligated to sacrifice their freedom to give freedom to others. You are free to do so if you choose, of course.
@zeitgeist057 which you are, you have a choice. Both choices come with their respective consequences. Make it and shut up š¤·š»āāļø
? okay rude for no reason.
@zeitgeist057 not intended to be rude
@Razp_Sorbet must be a cultural thing. Shut up and have a nice day then I guess :)
It's selfish, stupid, stubborn and dangerous usually stemming from misinformation, paranoia, and conspiracy theories.
Are you talking about the people for or against getting vaccinated. š¤ most of what you say describes just about all the people that get vaccinated. Ironically I don't get vaccinated because I'm not paranoid that I'm going to get sick. I "study" both sides and don't 1st assume one is misinformed or a conspiracy because a corrupt media or government official says so. As for the 1st 3, what does it mean when millions of people don't realize that almost no one has gotten sick statistically from just about all illnesses that have to do with symptoms that are related to covid?
@sean1234 that myth has been debunked time and time again, there is no evidence that supports that vaccines cause autism, in fact no one really know what causes autism, but there are genetic and environmental factors that can increase risk, but there is no evidence that suggests vaccines cause autism.
A study by Andrew Wakefield, which has been retracted, started the debate about a link between vaccines and autism. Mr. Wakefield's medical license has since been revoked due to conduct considered dishonest and irresponsible.
@Xtcy2083 yup, and also you would see a correspondence in vaccination rates and autism, but there is none. For example Norway has a high vaccination rate, compare to France, yet their autism rates are almost identical.
@Subarugirl actually, it stems from rational, logical thought
No proof in that, all I said was kids who got autism got a vaccine 1st, don't care what country they are from. People in general were far more healthy 150+ years ago then after that, anything that states otherwise is a lie. To many several hundred year old tomb stones with 90ish year Olds.
@sean1234 " were far more healthy 150+ years ago" : dude you are smoking crack. By pretty much every possible metric we are now healthier, living longer, less disease, greater recovery from injury. People 150 years ago would die from very minor injuries due to lack of knowledge about cleanliness and bacteria.
@sean1234 ah yes, the good ol' days. lol I agree to some extent it's much better with less tech enabling people to be lazy shits, and good to be out in nature, but all in all I think the advancements are better it's just people who are not taking full advantage of the opportunities this era provides. Instead they are falling victim to easy pleasures.
@zeitgeist057 oh the temptations... that mountain is in our way, let's blow it up, that people is in our way, let's blow them up? š±

In an indirect sense yes. Anti vaxxers are doing more than just being a little stupid or creating a minor inconvenience. They are literally taking an active and willing part in prolonging a pandemic that all of us are part of just so they can hold on to their misguided notions of what it means to be free and patriotic and because they buy into stupid conspiracy having the gall to think their 5 minutes of youtube is more reliable than all of the scientists and medical professionals who are working non stop to fight covid and other diseases.
You're not patriotic because you refuse a vaccine, you're not the champion of some noble cause, you're not defending your rights, you're not revealing any truthful information, you're just a selfish dumbass.
I can understand if you can't get vaccinated because you're high risk or otherwise ineligible but, if you're eligible and you can safely get the vaccine but choose not to you're a scumbag. It's funny too because all of the anti vaxxers are afraid of the vaccine even though you literally have a 0.000005 percent chance of dying from the vaccine and most of those had health complications and again there are exemptions for those who are risk now. So at this point there is no reason to tout the claim that vaccines are dangerous. Especially when there is a 2 percent chance of dying from covid which is even higher in some countries and, it was the leading cause of death in the US at two separate points.
Covid is not a common flu and by refusing to get a vaccine when you can safely get it is unpatriotic because you're literally dragging your country and the world at large down by prolonging a pandemic. A pandemic which we are all in together.
So yes it is unpatriotic to be anti vax.
No. I'm a patriot, even a nationalist according to some, but I have doubt about that vaccine. I'm vaccinated too, got the 3 jabs, and my government is already talking about the 4th. And about putting unvaccinated people in "special places" so they don't contaminated anyone else.
And at the same time, as a vaccinated person, not only I don't have advantages about it, but I'm even more controlled than an unvaccinated person. They would just need to stay at home, will I'd need to show my pass and an ID everytime I want to enter a place.
Also, a "vaccine" that needs to be taken every 3 months, and soon every month, isn't a vaccine. It's a treatment. That doesn't last long enough to be really called efficient.
Add to that many "strange" coincidence between my government and Pfizer, like my president working for them at some point, or the counselor of our health minister receiving almost $30.000 from them...
I'm not unpatriotic, I'm the opposite. I love my country and that's why I ask questions, proofs, results.
Since Marion Webster changed the definition of anti vaxxer, Being an anti vaxxer now is the most patriotic thing you can do, Opposing a vaccine mandate is part of what it means to be an American, government canāt tell you want to do with your own body, Governments canāt force you to get a vaccine if your an American because we have self government freedom means making your own decisions especially when it comes to weather or not you want to get the vaccine or not. (Abortion is different because you have 2 bodies involved not just 1).
@Juxtapose how is it hypocritical? We view the child as a separate person then the mother, therefore you donāt have the right to kill the unborn baby. If the baby wasnāt a separate person then the mother she would have the right to get rid of it. There a difference between a cancerous growth and a baby
Again government doesnāt have a right to tell us to get vaccinated or not, the government was never given that right, Places like Florida and Texas and Alabama and other red states will keep refusing to get the vaccine if they donāt want the vaccine. Itās really that simple, Ron DeSantis as already said they will be ignoring the vaccine mandate rule.
@Juxtapose life begins at conception man, viability begins at 18 years old, Also he likely is going to run but heās also gonna run for governor of Florida again, trump will likely be making a return
No it's not. I'm not anti-vax but I'm anti-mandating it. Personally I think the vaccine could have protected me when both my husband and son got covid-19 at 2 separate times. But I won't deny the science of natural immunity.
Think about all the cases in the United States that now have natural immunity. Back in August 2021, 103 million Americans have had covid-19 and now are naturally immune. And since the vaccine has some risk, I can't in good conscience be ok with telling people they have to take the risk.
@PinkMichae I feel the same way. But you have to understand there is no middle ground with the authoritarian brainwashing these leftists keep pursuing. Itās either their way or no way.
You get the vaccine to protect YOURSELF. That is a personal decision and you deal with consequences of that decision.
@OddBeMe you are a 37 year old man and you damn well that comparing unvaccinated people to ādrunk drivingā is utter and complete bullshit.
I am fully vaccinated and I plan on getting the 3rd dose. I am not worried about what unvaccinated people do. Itās sad if they get sick and suffer the consequences. But they knew the risks. But I am NOT worried about them infecting me.
I just donāt follow your logic here. At all.
And we are a massive labor shortage right now and pushing this authoritarian bullshit is going to solve everything.
Nobody could of prevented those 800k deaths. Not Biden, not HRC, not Obama and last but not least Trump. Only China could of stopped it but itās considered taboo criticize them if you are on the left
āNazi rhetoricā smdh.
@OddBeMe itās no secret you are a liberal but I thought you were better than that āNaziā and āHitlerā label bullshit. The second you start pulling out that crap you lose all credibility in debates.
Let me ask you something. Where the Naziās libertarian or authoritarian? This is the first time in US history that our government had forced masses of people to take vaccinations or suffer dire consequences (losing their livelihoods). Yet you are calling people who disagree with forced mandates as āNazisā smdh
Unpatriotic as for that is saying I want people to get sick.. I think I'll say this again... Ironically I don't get vaccinated because I'm not paranoid that I'm going to get sick. I "study" both sides and don't 1st assume one is misinformed or a conspiracy because a corrupt media or government official says so. What does it mean when millions of people don't realize that almost no one has gotten sick statistically from just about all illnesses that have symptoms that are related to covid? Why does no one see the people who are not only un vaxxed are not sick, but the ones who get vaxxed seem to be sick all the time, even with the covid19 vaccine 1... 2... 3... 4... etc?
By the reading everywhere, not even the anti vaxxers get it yet. There is no covid pandemic, there is only a lack of reading scripture and understanding it pandemic... only a government takeover pandemic, a vatican pope who thinks he's greater than God pandemic. All presidents and dictators good and bad seem to meet with him, agree with him. It would be nice for me to not be the only one who sees the truth because I decided to study it for myself instead of listening to a liar.
No, but supporting the entry of endless numbers of people coming into the US illegally sure is, especially given that they aren't required to be vaccinated. Now that is the question you should be asking.
Furthermore, the same leftist idiots saying nonsense like you are are the same ones that constantly make their hate for their own country clear and constantly defame it. Now THAT is unpatriotic.
Leftists are trying to re-define patriotism as enthusiastic obedience to a lawless government, its unelected bureaucrats, puppet politicians, and the corporations that are in bed with them. That's not what patriotism is.
It is nothing like draft dodging.
If you want it go ahead and get it, tired of you people who are for it acting like you know all the details and like it's all public information claiming anyone who doesn't want it is either brainwashed by miss information or is a conspiracy theorist. It's not miss information cause there is no info on it, all I hear is manipulations and guilt triping as to why I should and that's not good enough "reason".
You sound like someone who trusts mainstream news right? Well even the news admitted there are rare side effects, that's reason enough to not take a new relatively untested drug that I don't need to me.
Benign anti-vax means you hate your fellow Americans. Period. Youāre willing to spread a deadly disease and ruin the economy because of something you read online and just automatically believed.
The covid shots don't prevent you from spreading a deadly disease and ruining the economy.
Oh please take your retarded logic somewhere else. Expecting someone to take experimental medicine against their own will is about the most unamerican thing you can fathom. If you just stop paying attention to this fear mongering bullshit, youād realize covid is not really the threat they want you to think it is.
@joeldalton good question. Iāve never known one in my entire existence
@Kingofkings1992 oh so you havenāt heard of it so itās not real?
@joeldalton I love bring a personal googler for dumb shits. Hereās one instance of Covid patients, dick head:
www.wmur.com/.../38628992#
You and the OP are the only dumb shits around hereā¦
@Kingofkings1992 oh? Proven me wrong at all in the past? No,
Of the.02% of the population of New Hampshire in the hospital?
@joeldalton lol. Joel how dare you not be manipulated like him! š
@Kingofkings1992 are you two a couple? You guys are adorable!
A couple of sane people, sure
@joeldalton this is the first time in history an effectiveness of a vaccine is being blamed on the people who havenāt taken it.
@Kingofkings1992 I get it. His ego is tied to being a āheroā who stopped covid, since the rest of his life is an abject failure. If he had to admit he was fooled, then his self-appointed hero status is threatened. So heāll defend the bamboozle till he strokes out from the 6th booster.
@Brendan24 how unknown do you think the vax is?
Literally your entire post is misinformation.
@joeldalton ill do it for him before the covid vaccine they usually put a tiny amount of the virus or disease they're trying to prevent which seems logical there are some other questionable stuff in them
The covid vaccine is created with spike proteins that mimic the virus which can lead to the autoimmune system to attack itself and isn't proven at all
The problem that i have that a lot of people dont realize is (especially the ones that think they're forcing you to get it is, when they're really just looking dumb wasting their time) if i were to advise you to take something and it went wrong im at fault. But since its an "emergency" the vaccine companies are not liable for any side effects including death
@Brendan24 weird they havenāt been able to do that with the cov2 vaccine. Youād think thatād be simple if theyāve been able to isolate the virus.
@Kingofkings1992 It's not experimental the covid vaccines went through clinical trials before being released to the public.
@KatanaSlice just be patient wait for the truth to come out
Truth doesn't mind being questioned, a lie doesn't like being challenged
@KatanaSlice Clinical trials where every animal given the shots was killed? Or the ones where they hid the deaths from the trials?
@joeldalton That's not true the animals tested are still alive. www.wusa9.com/.../65-94f65a53-efc0-44ba-9944-2dc6ca51af03
29 participants died during a 44,000 person trial. 14 of those 29 were not even given the vaccine they were given a placebo so they weren't even given an actual vaccine. 15 actually got the vaccine. Of those deaths 26 of them died of causes unrelated to covid. such as heart disease and heart attacks.
Two people in the placebo group died of covid and one vaccinated died from covid. Out of a group of 44,000 a whole 0.00006818181 died of covid. Of the 29 deaths none of them were related to the vaccine.
apnews.com/article/fact-checking-964291665925
@Brendan24 The truth is already out the problem is anti vaxxers and conspiracy theorists keep spreading lies to everyone.
@KatanaSlice bahahahaā¦yeah like the conspiracy theorists claim vaccines can cause myocarditisā¦oh wait, thatās the FDA. Healthy soccer players are just dropping dead because of reasons. Maybe itās global warming
@joeldalton 203 million people are fully vaccinated in the USA, 242 million have at least one dose, there have been meanwhile there are 1,947 cases of myocarditis. Let's take the fully vaccinated a sample size that's 1 in every 10426 people getting vaccinated and developing myocarditis.
www.cdc.gov/.../myocarditis.html
Most of those cases were not fatal so the fatality is much lower still. Of those 95 percent cases were mild. The overwhelming majority of myocarditis cases were not fatal. www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2109730
Meanwhile roughly 1 in 50 covid cases are fatal. So you are FAR more likely to die from covid than you are to get any complications from the vaccine let alone die from it.
www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/
@KatanaSlice 1 in 50 covid cases are fatal? Youāre out of your mind.
@joeldalton I sent you the link on worldometer so you can see for yourself if you don't believe me but, I'll break it down for you anyway. If you look at concluded covid cases meaning cases that are now closed there was a 2 percent fatality rate which is roughly 1 in 50.
You still don't believe me? As of today there are 42,252,353 cases. Of those cases 844,169 resulted in fatalities. If you divide 42,252,353 by 844,169 that comes out to 50.0520074
I sent you the link already but I'll send it to you again in case you decide that you feel like looking. www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/
@joeldalton I did not include active cases because we don't know what the outcome will be yet.
@KatanaSlice if the vaccine did its thing and worked then there's no reason for people not to take it but apparently thats not the case antivaxxers aren't stupid they're just cautious just like anyone shouldwhen putting something in them
Again be patient truth will come
@KatanaSlice So here we go. If youāre using CFR to diagnose the fatality rate, then there must be no such thing as asymptomatic cases. Because weāre not doing 100% testing, and people without symptoms or extremely mild symptoms likely wouldnāt get tested. If thereās no such thing as asymptomatic cases, then thereās no need for masks and social distancing and the locking down of those without symptoms.
You canāt have it both ways.
@joeldalton If they're asymptomatic then they're clearly not dying from either covid or the vaccine. It is true that some cases will never be detected due to asymptomatic covid the vaccines have been proven to reduce the chances of both symptomatic and asymptomatic covid. https://jamanetwork. com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2779854
@joeldalton If they're asymptomatic then they're clearly not dying from either covid or the vaccine. It is true that some cases will never be detected due to asymptomatic covid but, the vaccines have been proven to reduce the chances of both symptomatic and asymptomatic covid. https://jamanetwork. com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2779854
@KatanaSlice And you must count them to get an accurate tally of how dangerous Covid is. Because your 2% fatality rate is total horseshit
@joeldalton It's not horseshit though. It is true that the number of covid cases are unreportd. Estimates range as high as 50 percent of cases being unreported. https://thehill. com/changing-america/well-being/medical-advances/565299-new-study-shows-total-us-covid-19-cases-may-be
On the other hand deaths are underreported as well. In the US it estimated that deaths are 61 percent higher than reported www.cfr.org/.../how-much-are-countries-underreporting-covid-19-cases-and-deaths
So even when you account for undiagnosed cases it evens out. It might not be exact but, it's close enough.
@KatanaSlice lol, deaths are over counted if anything. Remember 95% of deaths have at least 1 comorbiditiy
@joeldalton There is a whole criteria for counting a death as a covid death and they have to take into account comorbidities when classifying a cause of death. If another cause played a significant role into their death they wouldn't count it. www.cdc.gov/nchs/covid19/coding-and-reporting.htm
@KatanaSlice They still put it in your death count youāre clamoring about. Youāre talking apples and oranges. Do you really think you trying to dazzle with bullshit is fooling anyone?
@joeldalton It's true that comorbidities do increase the risk of death but, having a comorbidity is not unusual in the USA 60 percent of adults in the USA have comorbidities. So it's not as if it's only a few high risk people.
www.healthline.com/.../60-percent-of-americans-have-underlying-condition-that-increases-covid19-risk
And again as I said before when determining the cause of death having covid when you die is not enough on its own. It has to have played the most significant role in ones death, if another cause plays a large enough role then it has to be counted.
*If another condition plays a large enough role in the death it cannot be counted.
@joeldalton *If another condition plays a large enough role in the death than covid cannot be counted as the cause.
@KatanaSlice I appreciate your dedication to the CDC despite them just making shit up for the past 2 years.
@joeldalton they havenāt been making anything up. Iām going to trust the CDC who are people that have spent their entire career researching diseases as well as other medical groups such as the WHO, Moderna, Pfizer, Top university researchers, and medical professionals working in the ICU all of whom agree on that covid is serious. Iām definitely going to trust them over some stranger on YouTube whoās never worked in the medical field or random people on other social media sites who either take information out of context to justify their conspiracies or in some cases outright lie to justify their stances despite the fact that theyāve clearly never worked in the medical field and have no idea what theyāre talking about.
@joeldalton all of the groups I listed also support the use of vaccines.
@Brendan24 most of those people never caught covid. If you want to get an accurate measure the best way to do so is look at concludes covid cases and find out how many of those were fatalities. It doesnāt make sense to count those who donāt have covid because someone who doesnāt have a disease is not going to do from it. That being said anyone can get covid unless they get vaccinated. Itās not full proof but it makes a big difference.
@KatanaSlice They literally made up 6ā as social distancing. They literally made up the concept of these stupid fucking plastic barriers everywhere, and theyāve made up this idea that masks work. Now theyāre admitting that cloth masks are nothing more than facial decoration. They made up the # of days to quarantine, it went from 10 to 5 to well 5 unless you need less.
Now theyāre getting rid of PCR tests at the end of your quarantine time because theyāre so faulty.
Youāve got to be kidding me.
And they made up how prevalent Omicron was.
@joeldalton Theyāre still recommending masks that never changed. Also quarantine guidelines have changed largely because Omicron while it is still dangerous is not as deadly as Delta. The other issue is due to how contagious Omicron is many places are short staffed which is a problem. Social distancing rules change and mask recommendations change based on number of cases and number of people vaccinated. It also changes as variants form. Of course recommendations will change it makes sense to in order to deal with the situation. It doesnāt mean theyāre lying or giving bad information. As far as testing goes itās true that there are false results but tests are at least 80 percent accurate most of them more than that. If you have a professional test done instead of a take home test that also increases accuracy.
@joeldalton no they didnāt covid cases are really high and 73 percent are omicron. These results are coming from hospitals. It might not be 100 percent accurate but it does have a high accuracy rate. Whatās more is hospitals and researchers wouldnāt lie about that.
@joeldalton youāre either outright lying on purpose at this point on purpose or you think you know it all when you clearly know nothing about it.
@KatanaSlice Right here
www.npr.org/.../cdc-omicron-covid-19-delta-revise-estimates
Please stop saying stupid shit.
@joeldalton Ok fine I admit I was wrong. The CDC has given out wrong and misleading information. I'll give you that. You were right. That being said there a few things I still want to keep in mind.
1. The number of recorded cases and deaths have not changed.
2. Even with the revised estimate Omicron is still increasing very fast.
3. The articles online are saying that over the next few weeks as they observe diagnoses they will likely revise the number of cases yet again. Now is it possible that Omicron will still be a lot lower than previously thought? Yes it is possible but, on the other hand it may also go up again.
consumer.healthday.com/...e-in-u-s-2656193036.html
@KatanaSlice And they made up the 6' distance for "social distancing', and they admitted the plexiglass barriers were just made up as well. Now, after over a YEAR of clamoring about masks they now claim that cloth masks are "facial decoration"... that means they're useless. They also reported no flu cases last year and have the audacity to say a virus "took a year off".
And you think this is rational?
@joeldalton Iāll give you that the CDC did spread a lot of misinformation about how to handle the pandemic and the variants. You have valid points about that I wonāt deny it. Now Iām not saying that I will disregard the pandemic or the vaccine. I still am pro vaccine and the numbers are still high and despite misinformation the number of cases already reported so far in the past havenāt changed. Case numbers only change when a new day comes and more people get diagnosed but cases already reported seem steady and thatās not even including unreported cases and deaths. So I still do think it is a serious pandemic but, it is eye opening the way the CDC. You have some valid points about the CDC.
@joeldalton and I agree all the misinformation by the CDC is a problem.
@KatanaSlice So at this point everything they put out is suspect.
@joeldalton Yeah as far as the CDC goes I suppose that's true that at this point their stances are suspect.
The reason I haven't completely disregarded Covid cases and vaccines in general is other professionals who are not part of the CDC discuss the severity of covid and importance of vaccines. These are top medical research universities such as Harvard, Yale, and John Hopkins are all confirming a large number of serious cases and the vaccines helping to significantly reduce chances of contracting covid or dying from it.
You have ordinary medical professionals such as ICU doctors and nurses reporting that the ICU is full with covid patients and that most are not fully vaccinated. It is true that most people with covid will not get severe enough covid to be hospitalized a large enough minority will. Vaccine reduce the odds.
www.ama-assn.org/.../what-doctors-wish-patients-knew-about-long-covid
jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2767633
www.health.harvard.edu/covid-19/covid-19-vaccines
yalehealth.yale.edu/general-covid-19-vaccine-information
https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/vaccines/story
I personally know medical professionals who have said covid overwhelmed the ICU and that most are unvaccinated and I have seen testimonies from other ordinary medical professionals who say the same things.
@KatanaSlice you understand the default mode for an ICU is to be full, right? It doesnāt make financial sense to have tons of empty beds and unused expensive equipment. ICUās have been āoverwhelmedā in almost every flu season, too (2018). theyāre just now getting attention for mentioning it.
No, anti-vax is not unpatriotic. Also, trying to compare anti-vax to a WW2 draft dodger is miles apart. A draft-dodger was literally a person dodging their duties as a citizen under the law at the time and because the draft dodger was literally not willing to fight for their freedom. An anti-vaxer is trying to protect their freedom to choose whether or not to take the vax and not have the government force it on them. The anti-vaxer is actually fighting in a way for their liberty while the draft-dodger was literally dodging the fight to protect their freedoms. Whether or not you agree with them and see the anti-vaxer as a freedom fighter, you have to at least acknowledge that as one of the arguments they have posed. So there is really no comparison to be drawn between a draft-dodger and an anti-vaxer since they are literally aiming for opposite goals.
Vacines are products of companies, not governments. But anyfizzle, doggy fizzle, are we supposed to be advancing the human race or advancing the division of nations. If any alien race would make it to earth they most likely would not be divided into nations.
And as far ad the antivaxers go, many of tjem have lost their ability to trust big pharma, mental health professionals and their counter parts. This mess mesns the world at fault is not just one.
If the vacine really does work, everyone should have it that lives on planet earth, so the dam covid 19 would die once and for all.
Not inherently. Being anti Vax mandate is tho.
I'd argue most aren't anti vax but anti vax mandate. I've lost count of people who said outright you should get the vaccine but that it shouldn't be mandated.
People labeled them anti vax anyways.
Exactly
Thatās how they are about issues in general.
What's unpatriotic is New York wanting to give itself permission to declare the naturally immune to be second class citizens. To force them into hiding, Anne Frank-style! To treat the Bill of Rights, Geneva, Nuremberg, HIPPA, and other laws as toilet paper. To hunt down those unwilling to contract AIDS from Pfizer with the same zeal as the paramilitary guys from GTA 5 would hunt down Trevor. That's going after the throat of the American spirit like a rabid demon!
I haven't had to worry about chicken pox recently. Have you?
I donāt think so, and Iāll stand by that. Everyone has a right to their own decisions and if someone doesnāt want to get vaccinated, that doesnāt make them unpatriotic.
Iām all for America and being a good citizen, but Iām a libertarian, I donāt agree with the government forcing something on people⦠And that goes for a lot more than just a vaccine.
we know you would pull down your pants and bend over and beg they use vasoline
@OddBeMe No, I would not. Again: I donāt agree with the government forcing something on people.
@888theGreat Iām sure you would too, hon.
Being anti vax is arguably foolish. However being anti vax MANDATE is very patriotic.
Itās this āyou are either for us or against usā attitude by leftists that I just canāt stand. Lots of people including myself are very pro vaccine but also very anti government authoritarianism.
I encourage people to get vaccinated for their own protection. But actually forcing this on people is a different story. Why canāt liberals accept that position?
it depends. covid has changed the meaning of "anti vax". it used to mean that people reject vaccines in general and want nobody to take vaccines. now "anti vax" means that you reject highly experimental medicine that kills people.
so i would say by it's former meaning, it was unpratriotic. but the meaning it has now is just a joke to frame reasonable people with unreasonable stigma.
you can not make the argument that this vaccine protects others, because it is evident that it doesn't. a vaccined person is exactly as contageous as someone who isn't vaccinated. that's the issue. i don't know why they still make the solidarity argument even though it's bs.
well "working"... it has proven to reduce the chance of getting a serious case of covid from 0.02 to like 0.004 (which is the ridiculously small number they base their impressive sounding the next to 100% efficiency claim on) in a study that only had 200 samples... it were 60.000 participants but only 200 got corona so the numbers we have is only based on those few people, which isn't representative.
and "working" as in you can still get ill. you can still get a serious case. just at a slightly reduced risk that was not high to begin with. and also your infectiousness to others is not reduced at all.
vaccines normally cause a sterile immunity. meaning that you can not get the disease when you have the vaccine. the covid vaccine does not do that, so by "my" definition, it does not work.
also it killed 10.000 people in the us... show me another vaccine that we still give people today, that kills so many people in such a short time.
also in November of this year, the UK office for national statistics has released a report that shows that vaccinated people have a general mortality risk twice as high as unvaccinated people... of course this is correlation and not causation but well... i have a hard time finding an explanation for that correlation other than this vaccine is bad for people.
but either way. what i wanted to say was: i am not against vaccines. i think vaccines are great generally and people should take them. just not the covid one.
and i disagree with this being the definition of "anti vax", cause i'm not anti vax.
Some simple research on the vaxxes would help you be less stupid. Itās always been touted as 95% effective, breakthrough infections have always been warned, yet still nominal. And Covid patients are 40x more likely to be unvaxxed. Even one dose keeps you above the fray.
Iād say thatās beyond experimental.
you didn't read what i just said at all.
you said "Itās always been touted as 95% effective" i said that this calculation comes from a sample size of 200 people, where the likelyhood hof having a bad case was reduced from 0.02 to 0,04 or something close to that.
i'm sorry if you think you know more cause you're watching tv. but repeating what you hear in the propaganda channel doesn't make you smart it makes you missinformed. at least look at the data they quote. you WILL see that what they say does not line up with the data.
naming a risk reduction from 0.02 to 0.004 would be honest. people would see this isn't significant. but they are not honest. they say "it's near 100% effecitve" which is not a lie but also not impressive, cause the statistics they have for that are not representative or in laymens terms: meaningless.
Covid 40x more likely to hit the unvaccinated false. it's as likely. but you have "slightly" lower risk of having bad symptoms.
98% to 99% of Americans Dying are Unvaccinated. false, it's roughly 60:40 vaccinated to unvaccinated
cases are surging where vaccination rates are low. this is the most false of all of them. cause in israel almost 90% are vaccinated and still they have the same shit as everyone else.
and you know what's not false? that you're in general twice as likely to die if you're vaccinated. because that's what the official statistic unmisunderstandably says. covid cases can easily manipulated with faulty test methods or just calling someone who is in hospital for cancer with a positive test a "covid case".
it's like how many times must the cdc and the who be wrong and obvioulsy spread fake news and missinformation before you finally don't trust them anymore?

Yes and it is anti-golden rule.
Stupid is as stupid does. :(
What is stupid is to believe the vaccines are effective.
Are you a gentleman who is battling a brain injury or some other type of cognitive disability?
Getting vaccinated or not is not a "patriotic" thing, it is a Health, Safety and Survival thing. And let me add Compassionate; to all the other people you interact with with and DO NOT infect them.
The people who try to make it a "patriotic" thing are typically poorly educated, losers who are failing at life, and use the "patriotic" meme to desperately find some meaning to their inconsequential existence.
Yāall act as if a vaccine is a cure, thereās no need for it if you already healed from having covid then they have it naturally, let people do what they want with their own bodies and get out their business
The vaccine is not 95% effective.
Quit spreading lies that it is.
That's a lie. Immunity from the virus itself isn't as strong as from the vaccine. You have a 2x higher chance of catching covid if you are unvaccinated with natural immunity than people who are vaccinated after having covid. Between January and September 2021 hospitalizations in adults testing positive for COVID-19 were 5.49 x higher in unvaccinated people who had COVID-19 in the past than they were for those who had been vaccinated for COVID and had not had an infection before. Also. 1/3 of people who have had covid in the past show no signs of natural immunity.
@Razp_Sorbet People who were vaccinated show no sign of antibodies after numerous weeks.
So again. How is the Vax better than natural antibodies?
@BillyBalls antibodies wane over 6 months which is normal (and we have boosters) but your b cells and t cells have the memory of the virus and are ready to fight. I already explained why natural immunity isn't better.
It's not unpatriotic but stupidity. Anti Vaxxers never studied in school or most likely never went to college or studied Arts. They generalize vaccines and confuse other people. Some vaccines work for life some for a short span, it depends on many factors. A vaccine that will be given to millions goes through a strict peer-review process, with data made available for every scientist to verify. Most vaccines are just dead or part of the dead virus itself.
Getting drafted is far more serious/intense and high stakes than choosing to not get vaccinated. The issues are not comparable. Patriotism is also not really a factor here itās more global/for others everywhere as opposed to doing it for your country specifically.
Well... weāve been using vaccines for a while and theyāve been effective... I guess just trust your doctor. Theyāre meant to have your best interests at heart.
I dont love any country. ,
il watch any country fall apart, And not give 2 shits.
All i care about is, freedom, From any higher power or government,
Make your own choices,
Follow whatever religion you want.
and.
nobody should tell you how to live.
being patriotic is at the bottom of my priority list,
Personal rights, And Liberty come before any flag.
while i do think this pandemic was started by big pharma because people were not getting vaccinated (the prior 3 years before), we aren't really punishing them by not getting vaxxed. i support the non-vaxxers 100%
not in my conspiracy theory. if you look back before the pandemic we were being bombarded with media trying to get us vaccinated. it's not a coincidence
No , but changing the definitions of words to coerce or degrade people who aren't vaccinated with a new vaccine is.
You're such a Karen.
Itās their choice to be stupid. They just canāt expect the same treatment, like being allowed in restaurants that only allow vaccinated people, are to keep their job if the vaccine is required to work their.
The draft is involuntary servitude and is actually unconstitutional.
The draft is authoritarian nonsense and another move by the government to get you to believe they own you.
I mean, no. I just don't want a blood clot, if that's okay with you?
@OddBeMe what don't you people understand about a 98.5% survival rate. And I am 100% positive they have curved the line with beaths where covid-19 was present but not what killed them. And from what I have seen 95% effective is a big lie with all these "break through cases".
How can you compare this virus to war! Your chances in WWII were infinitely higher to die in battle than you are to die from covid.
I think people trying to force mandates are more unpatriotic, perhaps even traitors.
Why would we need drafts unless Dems disarmed us and got rid of the militia? There's almost never a reason to need a draft if the Constitution is actually being upheld in all 50 states (which it's not currently). Stop trying to remove firearms purchases and the right to conceal or open carry and you'll have minutemen everywhere you go. But Dems complain about bodily autonomy and then want to force vaccines. Also one is to ensure freedom while the other is seeking to remove it. If you are so afraid of the virus then stay home and live as a shut in I guess. Get vaxxed and wear A hazmat suit. Ta-da problem solved I guess. This nation was founded on the principal to ensure freedom, not safety.
It works the same way any other vaccine that we all have gotten does, so I donāt see why so people have an issue with it.
I would say the total opposite actually. When will you simpletons come to grips with reality and realize that covid shot doesnāt affect anyone but yourself?
Do you wear a helmet in your house too? Just wondering
Imagine being this much of a simp for pharmaceutical companies. The same companies that "tHe LeFt" is supposed to hate.
Not even close it's two different worlds two different spectrums
I just say be prepared o see it around along time due to people not getting vaccinated
Being anti-vaxx is both unpatriotic and unscientific.
Why stretch for a comparison that even supporters of vaccination find tenuous at best?
Being anti vax is stupid and ignorant.
Isn't that enough?
Although you like to make this argument a lot youāre one of the least patriotic people here.

How is being Anti-Vax?
Like dodging the draft in WWII
All drugs have side effects that's a fact
Why? Vaccines don't work and people are still getting Covid. Many people that took Vaccines are still dying. They are spreading it like the plaque.
web site was Libs are Us
Many of the anti-vaxxers are nothing more than victims of misinformation. The ones who are really unpatriotic are the ones who use their media platform to spread the propaganda to others (and many of the high-profile ones are vaccinated themselves).
I meant to press no but anyways it might not be unpatriotic but it does make you an absolute dumbass thinking you know more than doctors and scientists who study this kind of stuff for a living
Id say whats patriotic let people decide what they wanna do with their body
@OddBeMe If you think being anti-vax is unpatriotic, you're sadly mistaken.
Oh libtards. Forcing people to take something is very unpatriotic
Iām against forcefully administration. But fuck those anti vaxers. Most people ill didnāt take the vaccine and are 30-40 years old, hopefully they get ill instead of people that took the vaccine. Itās FREE and helps other people.
It depends. What version of anti-vaxx are we using today?
Of course, it is. They only care about themselves.
lol. no. You're an idiot.
Have you been boosted, yet?
Sucker
How is it unpatriotic?
Nope forcing it upon people is
Anti vaxxers are selfish and stupid.
Irrelevant.
Being vaxxed is a personal choice. Period.
Pardone?
Nuremberg code says otherwise.
The socialists believed in racial oppression hierarchies and that Jews and capitalists are the devil. They also didn't believed in universal truths, believed in racial consciousness and collectivism.
And socialism.
They looked and behaved a lot like you and your lot, not like me at all.
Being a vaxtard is, though
No, it is just being stupid.
Its their life like we got jabs
All a big hoax !!!
