Why dont people care about objective morality anymore, when its pretty clear the mess were in?

Objective morality has been thrown out the window, now its all about Cultural Drama, Might Makes Right, Feelings, Fake Woke Nonsense, Specific Cultural Norms people dont wanna get rid of but dont mind discarding other ones hypocritical, Asshole Degenerates taking over the moral debate and eliciting sympathy from Liberals and dominating the culture. This is the mess that liberal utopian ideal of "Moral Relativism" leads us in

Morality IS relative. There is no "perfect." Slavery was the more moral option back in the day of tribesman, where the alternative was genocide. It is more moral to let someone live as a slave than kill them. But, by today's standard, slavery isn't moral at all, and it's more moral to help change the people you conquer than it is to enslave them.

So yes, morality IS relative. There is no end. You should always seek to be more moral than the generations that came before you, and that work will never end. Society will never hit "perfect" morality.

I think what you meant to say in regards to the left is that they believe morality is SUBJECTIVE, which is that there's no consistency to morality.

As to your question, some people do care. There are tons of people who do, in fact. The philosophy of Stoicism has seen a HUGE revival as of late.

What I mean is saying its objectively wrong to do things that hurt society, like killing people, raping people, stealing other peoples valuable goods or property, cheating on your husband or wife, etc.

I see increased awareness and prosecution of behavior that had been tacitly accepted — domestic violence against women and children. sexual harassment and coercion in the workplace, environmental pollution,, abuse of children by religious leaders, coaches, etc., abuse of citizens by police, ...

Where do you see morality in retreat? Extramarital sex? That’s for the couple to decide. I know married couples at have happily open marriages.

There's no such thing as objective morality. Morality is a human construct, and a very inconsistent one. Actually it's a very arbitrary set of rules we're expected to live by.
