Whose side would you be on in a possible Armenian-Turkish war?

Question

Mavie123 · Accepted Answer

I hate wars and I wish no war happen.
I love both turkey and Armenia and I hope nothing bad happen to any of them.
But I'd choose Armenia because Armenians endured really a lot in the past.
Plus there were many Armenians as a refuges in my country Egypt, they loved the country, they got along with us and they were kind so I'd say bless you Armenia even though I'm not a Christian.
So it's not a Christian vs Muslim to me because I'm not religious.

If we consider the christians and extreme anti-Turkish people here, of course they will choose armenia. As a Turk, I choose Turkey. But why is there no Turk flag in the picture although Turkey is in the question? I think you put the Azerbaijan flag as the Turkey flag. Don't you know Turkey and Azerbaijan flags?

Any war fought over territory is pointless. Unless it’s a matter of one country being invaded by another then there shouldn’t even be war only diplomacy. When it comes to territorial disputes, the two best options are to either

partition the territory
or make the territory it’s own country if it’s big enough and has a reasonably sized population

MrCommodore · Accepted Answer

I wouldn't have a preference, it would be regrettable that people lose lives in a war that could have been avoided.

I think future wars should be fought between two groups of politicians inside a big pit, winner wins the war, they might be more open to finding a non-violent solution then.

OlderAndWiser · Answer

I don't know anything about the history of their conflict so it would be foolish of me to choose one over the other.

AviatorTom · Answer

I'd be on the UN Peacekeeper's side. No one would win that war so let's find a way to maintain the peace.

BCA6010 · Answer

No interest in getting involved.

Without a direct threat from a mutual enemy, there's no way I would ever stick up for the current Turkish government, even if they are my country's ally. They're incredibly shady and bloodthirsty, so much so that it's amazing there haven't been more serious talks about ejecting them from NATO.

Dragonpurple · Answer

Impartial as I would want to stay out of it, not my concern.

Avicenna · Answer

As a former peacekeeper, I know to stay out of other peoples fights when it doesn’t concern me

Anonymous · Answer

Turks are usually racist and arrogant. They are blind nationalists who will cover any crimes their country commit or has committed.

BillyBalls · Answer

Because Cenk Uygur of the a young Turks is a flaming assist, I would hope the Armenians nuke the Turks.

KostasKouvalis · Answer

Armenia, no question. They have suffered a lot from their bully neighbors, and I gotta stand by my Christian brothers

Turgenyev · Answer

I would be on Turkey's side ofc but it doesn't mean that I hate Armenians.. I don't have any problem with Armenian people

TheSpaceGnome · Answer

Neither, fuck wars, politicians, overlords, and royalty can go fight eachother in a cage match instead of dragging everyone else into their petty squabbles.

spartan55 · Answer

Will have to recuse myself on this one due lack of historical knowledge.

andreasderjuengere · Answer

I have only one side: Mine! I see no reason to support a ''side'' of something that's not my business.

Miristheiss · Answer

I'll be honest, I don't know enough about it to have an opinion.

Medhat-M · Answer

Turkey always and still has disgusting and barbaric politics... I'm rooting for anyone against them... Especially Armenia to get their revenge

XXblack88 · Answer

I don't know what they are fighting over. So, I'm not sure

OddBeMe · Answer

Don’t know a lot about Armenia, which usually means they aren’t fcking with shit and they’re cool people.

Ryfyle · Answer

I'm on the other side of the planet and have no stocks in any aerospace companies so this "war" means nothing to me.

danielyan-a · Answer

I don't know. I am Armenian, my wife is Azerbaijani so I do not take a side. All I want is peace. All armenian-azerebaijani couples are neutral as well

Uptowngirl88 · Answer

Armenian because they have better looking women there.

Anonymous · Answer

Armenians are just nomad squatters squatting on land that isn’t their’s to begin with. They’ve been twisting history long enough to believe in their own lies.

JesseJayNeak · Answer

Armenians. They’ve gone through enough. Turkey used to have an empire, they don’t need a second one
