They played an entire segment of Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Dr. Fauci; ALLLLLLL saying before the election under NO circumstances would they be imposing ANY vaccine mandates; that it would be UNETHICAL, ILLEGAL, and immoral to force people to get the vaccine. They are all lying little corrupt ass*holes and that just goes to show you; be careful before you vote for a politician because they will lie just to get elected. Then once they are elected; they will do whatever they want because they have power over you. BEWARE; if the Democrats win the November Midterm Elections; they will turn around and force everyone to wear masks until the end of Biden's term. RIGHT NOW; many of the Democrats took away the mask mandates in their states; but they are only doing that because polls show the people are sick of it and they don't want it to hurt them in the Midterms. But watch out; if they get in power; they will make you suffer until Biden is out of office. They are all power drunken liars.

shocking perspective to me, I'll be watching if Id associate such negative term to the group. The people I know who own such equipment are hard working people, often independent, developed skills to make a living, took loans and paid their dues to get trucks and equipment. They are business people sometimes. One AA person I met drove truck and he was a pleasure to talk with, wish I got his number to stay in touch. I don't understand the negative viewpoint you are coming from.

the 2nd link shows signs of love, freedom... I see no swastikas. The news takes the extreme and worst emotions and amplifies it. the loud ones get attention, it's unfortunate. There are legitimate policy decisions on both sides... vaccinate everyone to end this or don't force it on us.

My wife and I are involved with groups that are doing their best to resist the mandates by our county board of directors and city council. Fuck them. We've been to protests at the capital, too. The leadership is acting illegally and needs to be stopped. They are not our overlords.
this may be an effective way to do that. They overstepped their power, for what they view are good reasons. It calls out the divide in the country. Pres could call it a national security threat and deploy guard... could go bad.

Are you saying he believes it only because of the given issue (mandates) but if doesn't agree with another protest (say BLM) would not support similar truck blockage? Or something else? be clear. I am saying that having read many of his posts, my belief is that he believes it only when it supports his position and his assertions, and never when it might in some fashion lend credibility to an opposing view or support it. Also, there is a patronizing and hostile intent behind his quotation of it in that every human being in the US over the age of 12 knows exactly where that quote came from. He is well aware of my academic credentials and education, and to ask if I know where it came from is a deliberate and petty insult.

I think you affirmed. my own view of truckers peacfully protesting blocking traffic is... ok to some degree for I agree with limiting the mandate. But BLM peacefully blocking a roadway attempting to apply pressure for their cause, I had less tolerance for them. I'd support the WWI soldiers blocking to get their pay... and they were primarily peaceful. You are saying treat all such protests same regardless of cause... I think. I'm not claiming this is Lliam view but what I think you said and I relate. Is the underlying issue then... the degree to which assembly impacts society... not the cause provoking. Allow commerce to flow, but make presence... don't blockage society and make it peaceful. I'll let it be there...
This where social messaging often fails and becomes a divisor rather than uniter. Its rare to see people resolve differences using "texing". Maybe the metaverse will help and we can fight to the end in the safety of our living rooms with imaginary characters in imaginary places? I wonder how the founding fathers and such sages of their time sorted through similar issues... writing back and forth in letter? There's something worse about our method of communication vs the past. These differences of perspective have had to always exist.
We need protests like that but protest to stop letting people charged with a violent offense out on bail. Violent crime rates would drop at least 30% just by doing that

Govt and truckers are in conflict over a mandate, that's what I was referring to. Seems easier to me to boycot Washington D. C. ... just don't take those routes... starve them until they change the rule... don't have to waste all the fuel and time.
Govt will bow only if it has to. I don't claim to understand the supply chain and logistics industry enough to say how the govt would pressure the drivers.

The truckers will pack up their roadshow, satisfied they've made their point, and the politician (s) will go back inside, laugh and say, "SUCKERS", and go about their business getting richer at the expense of their constituency.

I'm a 27 year trucking veteran. I'm used to dealing with con artists and crooks. They're called dispatchers. They're the same ilk, cut from the same cloth. Lie their asses off to get you to get off of their back, and then do what they want in the end.
I live in Buffalo NY, home of the Peace Bridge which is one of the busiest crossing between the US and Canada with over 4000 trucks daily. It would be a prime location and I drive under the Peace Bridge every day on my way to and from work. I sure hope it comes here. All restrictions and mandates must be lifted and if this inconvenience is what it takes to get it done then so be it
There would be no reason for them to come to my area, and more specifically Florida unless they were looking for a friendly crowd and to drink a few beers with friends. Florida has been anti-mandate/anti-authoritarian communism the entire time. We're the tip of the spear in the fight.
I don't even really care that much about the mandates. But I'd enjoy seeing a big working class uprising and watching the propagandists on tv try to pretend it doesn't exist, then demonize the protestors, then just scream at the sky like lefties do when they don't get their way.
My town/state has no mandates but sure, truckers are too vital to my state's economy and already being stretched too thin due to the logistics shortages. Pretty stupid of any government trying to force them into mandates that could make them unemployed.

Ultimately it isn't a mater of support.
I believe in the general sense of leaving others to control their own lives, and a mandate for any form of medical procedure violates that belief.
They are not being violent, they are not stealing, they are not rioting, they are not looting. Since that is a peaceful protest I stand behind it.
