Yesterday I basically got pulled over for the first time. Really the cop just flashed his lights and talked to me through his window but still was the first time that's ever happened to me.

Iāve been pulled over a hell of a lot of times for someone who very rarely speeds or drives unsafely, lmao. Itās always dumb shit like an expired inspection sticker. I mean, lookā¦. letās not pretend like itās not just some cash-grab the state shakes every car owner down for every year. Iāve had my car pass inspection and then a week later something goes on it that would cause it to fail, but Iām still legit in the eyes of the state and the cops? I understand the spirit of it is in part so no one is driving a rickety death trap around, and thatās fine, but for the majority of us who arenāt driving around a rusted out 1995 Cutlass Ciera, I think you can largely eye-test that one. Not saying to abandon the inspections, but if youāre passing me out a ticket for my car not being inspected on time, youāre just now almost ASSUMING something is wrong with my car, when there might not be. Like itās generally ok in principle, but I just donāt like that they can pull you over for it, which bothers me more than paying any fine, I just donāt want to be having up-close interactions with strangers who think they have authority over me. Feels like the police create reasons to pull people over for driving infractions but itās really an excuse to ācheck you outā, make sure you arenāt up to no good or wanted for something, and I plain and simple donāt like that shit. Unless I am in the act of committing a legitimate crime, I expect police to stay completely away from me.
Even at my last job, I was a traveling salesman for a food company, and I would very frequently have to sit in supermarket parking lots for extended periods of time doing paperwork and online stuff. Multiple times Iāve had cops come and knock on my windowā¦.. bitch, leave me the fuck alone, itās none of your business what Iām doing in my car, and not for nothing, Iām WORKING. One guy said ājust making sure youāre not in here doing drugs.ā WHAT? Thatās a fucking AUDACIOUS thing to say. Another guy crept up in plain clothes with his hands on his gun, and I almost jumped out to meet him with a haymaker before I realized he was undercover and not a carjacker. DONāT. FUCKING. DO THAT SHIT. Not for nothing, I wouldāve been charge with a crime if I hit the guy too, even when he didnāt announce himself in any way. I donāt like this accepted custom of being checked out, kindly go fuck yourself, Iām not here to perform to anyone elseās standards but my own.
Anywayā¦phewā¦what a rant😂 But Iāve noticed my rate of being pulled over has correlated with demographic changes in myself and in my friends. The most I ever got pulled over was when I was in college and most of my friends were big muscular black dudes who played college football, and I was a goddamn cop magnet when they were in the car. Or when I was by myself, just being 20-something with my hat on backwards or playing rap music, I felt like I got profiled. Now Iām older and drive a nice car, and Iām sure it shows up that Iām in my 40s on their computer, now I rarely get messed with, and Iām not doing anything really different.
Too much ranting and lost the plotššš
Been pulled over countless times, only twice in 25 years for speeding (thatās a law that actually makes sense to me, so I readily observe it), three times Iāve been towed for driving on a suspended license (didnāt know it was suspended any of the timesā¦then drove literally everyday when I DID know, but was never pulled over then lmao), and just a whole mess of times for the inspection sticker thing back in the day. Everything else was vague, theyād ask if everyone in the car had seatbelts or one time, when my inspection sticker WAS valid, he claimed he saw the color wrong that indicates the expiration yearā¦I mean, cāmon, bro.
why were the cops sneaking up on you in supermarket parking lots? how did anyone even notice? I'm guessing the grocery store had cameras and the guy watching the many tv screens noticed you were in your car a long time and thought you might be looking to rob someone or were homeless. You have to know it's a cop to be charged with a crime. any decent lawyer would get you off for punching a plain clothes cop that snuck up on you. of course the cop would lie and say he had announced you. lots of videos of cops lying to people and lying in court too. how was it riding around with big muscular college football guys? bet no one jumped you when you were with them. did you get to sit on the sidelines with them at the football games? lift weights with them? party with them? I was running back on my high school football team. I also wrestled and I ran 100m 200m dash and jumped 110m high hurdles in track. I do a lot of weightlifting. what did the cops do when they were riding with you? how did you get the college football guys to be your friends?
Funny I see this question. I too got pulled over a few nights ago for the first time ever in my life. Apart from this I have never had any police officers confront me on the road, my driving is generally safe and my record is clean.
One thing you should know - if you didn't already - is that cops often try to pull people over a lot near the end of a month, so they can meet a quota for handing out tickets and getting money through them for the city/county/etc. Don't feel too bad about it because every one will likely experience getting pulled over at least once or twice in our lifetime, and it will usually be for minor offenses or situations, and if it's near the end of the month it will likely be for the reason I said above.
I have heard that they do that at the end of the month to meet their quota. Luckily I didn't get in trouble for doing anything illegal. Just had my seat too forward and had no space between the wheel and my chest. Which I guess is dangerous but not illegal
So funny thing. I called the police because I was behind a woman who was punching another girl in the face and hitting her head on the dash board. They drove a car same color as me. Instead of following them. They followed me home and pulled their guns out thinking it was me. 😒
Yes lol it was like 4am and I was driving home and kind of sorta rolled a stop sign pretty fast lol but the street was completely empty! And before I knew it I was pulled over luckily I got out of trouble but I was so scared because I also forgot my license that night too.

When I was a young man, "fuzz" was slang for police. So there was a joke:
Q. Have you ever been picked up by the fuzz?
A. No, but I'll bet it hurts!
Yes I have
Speeding
Burnt out lights
No license plate
Illegal U-turn
Driving with a busted windshield (not cracked, but really busted)
Using someone else's license plates
Driving Expired plates
Failing to remove snow off back window
Snow covering license plate
Racing
Driving on the wrong side of the road (that one goes with racing)
But I never had DUI and never drove impaired. I did all this sober and not having drivers license. I drove for 20 plus years without one. I started driving cars on the road at 13 or 14 years old.
The only reason I got a drivers license was to keep me out of prison. The last time I got pulled over before I got my drivers license. The judge said "Mr. Earth you have 6 months to get a drivers license or I will sentence you to two years in prison.
When I was young, I did not care about anything
I was cooling my bike off halfway through a ride tonight, and taking pictures near spring lupins, when a cop pulled to stop next to me.
We ended up talking for half an hour about bikes, local secret roads and naked people in poppies, his turn in convo not mine.
Suddenly had a call, yelled āWhatās your name?ā Then āIām Will by the way! Nice to meet you!ā And took off.
And I went damn⦠was randomly proposed to by a married man this morning 200 ft in front of my man and now a local cop thought I was hitting on him this evening⦠🙊 Iām taking a different evening route for a few weeks. lol.
hahahahaha , try being in Australia and NOT get pulled over , everyone gets pulled over , random drink drive checks at 9 am , though to go knows what , slightly State dependent , when I was in the USA it was easy , you basically NEVER get pulled over unless you really fck up , it was so easy I couldnt believe it , and back then most states had pretty high calibration on DUI ( it was.1 then , I know it has gone down )
Australia is interlock device on return of license after 1 year, managed and paid for by you at.07 , and its costs a plethora !
So here in Aus , ( and probably Thailand ) its not a question , because you always get stopped. Victoria is the POLICE state of Australia.
LOL Sooo many times. I got my driver's license and my first car when I was 16. My friends and I drove around all the time and went lots of places. When I was 26, I got a job as a motor vehicle field adjuster/appraiser and put around 50,000 miles a year on company cars. I did that for 30 years. So, in my lifetime, I've probably gotten at least 20 or more tickets, mostly for speeding on highways. Nothing dangerous or crazy.
At one point, in my early 20s, I got a notification from the DMV that I had a dozen speeding tickets in three years and would have my license suspended if I had more than that in a three year period. Back then, your insurance wasn't notified when you had points on your driving record. So all you had to do was pay the tickets. LOL
I settled down a lot as I got older, but spending a lot of time on the road increases your odds of getting pulled over. I've gotten one ticket in the last 18 years. Again, that was for going too fast on an empty highway.
I have been pulled over twice. First time was when i was at a red light look over and there was a cop right beside me. As soon as the lights turned green she turned her lights and pulled me over because there was a speck of dirt on my license plate and she couldnāt tell if the last character was a 2 or a 7. It was bs because i knew she was fishing for something. The second time was for having blue bulbs over my license plate which isn't allowed as per Canadian by-law. I was thankful i got a warning because where i got pulled over was at the bottom of a steep bridge where i tend to do a 100km to make it swift to get up. The speed limit in that zone is 60km. So the second time saved me more than anything
I have been pulled over 6 or 8 times. Mostly for traffic infractions. Once when I was working in Florida my associate and I were driving a rental car and going to our hotel. The local cops pulled us over with lights flashing and guns drawn. They ordered us out of the car and searched us. Then asked for ID.
They explained that two guys in a car matching our description just held up a convenience store down the street and one of them had a cut under his eye. I had fallen through a suspended ceiling a couple of days earlier and had a cut under my eye. The cops let us go but it was pretty funny.
They always say that when they pull you over for lame reasons.
Multiple times, I've been ticketed for speeding, not coming to a complete stop and a stop sign, holding an electronic device while driving. I also drive an 18-wheeler hauling hazardous material, they like to stop us quite often and make sure our paperwork is in order, make sure everything is safe for us to transport it down the highways
You must be a dangerous driver getting pulled over so often š
It just comes with the job most of the time. On average I drive about 350 miles a day. If you spend as much time in your car as I do in this truck, trust me you would be stopped more often. I'm pulling a tanker, on all four sides are placards indicating what I'm hauling. Hydrochloric acid, state troopers like to check on us people that haul hazardous material, I honestly don't mind it because I'd rather have a safe equipment out here than a bunch of fly by night companies driving down the road with unsafe equipment
I've only got 2 moving violations. I have been pulled over a few times other than that. A couple of times just to be told to keep my speed down. Once because I forgot to put the updated registration sticker on my license plate. I had it with me and put it on right away.
No I've never been because I'm cautious driver. I never got a ticket either because I try to be as rational as possible and because a lot of luck.
I have my license for about 5 years now
I'm the same never gotten a ticket or been pulled over for doing something illegal
it was about 9 years ago i think. Got pulled over for a tail light being out, and i couldn't produce a non-expired insurance card at the time. So he gave me a tickets that can be cancelled if i went the police station later to prove i had insurance. Which I did the next day, as I usually leave new cards in my car. Felt like a quota stop, but I did appreciate knowing it was out.
Why, what did you do?
I got pulled over on a kayak once. A fucking kayak! I think he was just checking everyone on the lake for safety gear. He said I'm supposed to have a whistle. He was kind enough to give me one.
I was sitting to close to the wheel. Didn't get in trouble or anything. Cop was just concerned for my safety
I got pulled over in my little rowboat with a 3 hp outboard. I did not have it registered. The police boat had the sirens blaring and lights flashing. The cop tells me to turn off the motor. I tried to tell him that if I shut it off I might not be able to start it again. He didn't care. I shut it offand could not get it started again. Ii had to row back to shore.
Only once in Michigan and I received a speeding ticket and only once in Georgia and I only received a verbal worming. And I still speed.

NaaaH and Youā Forgot the left signal and hit right signal at four-way 🛑 and took off 🦇 out of hell 🔥 and cause Collision, right āļø🙃
Haha nah I just got in trouble for having my seat up to far and my chest was sitting on the wheel. Which I guess is dangerous
I was pulled over by the police when they saw me leaving the car park of a Royal British Legion Club, they had a suspicion that I'd been drinking, but I assured them that I'd just picked up my Mother from the club where she, my Aunt and her friend had been in a meeting, they requested all my documentation 'Licence, Insurance, MOT certificate' I even offered to be breathalysed. As soon as I said that I was thanked and sent on my way.
Never me personally I don't drive much, but my parents have while I have been in the car. As for me on one occasion I have had my room searched, on the other I was handcuffed. In the first case it was because I jokingly threated my roommate after he jokingly threatened me first. In the second I just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The whole "white male privilege" thing I keep hearing people talk about didn't protect me from these things.
I have been pulled out twice. Once because I was apparently speeding and had a broken light (which both were not true) and once because I didn't give way.
Also got twice into general control when coming back from the Netherlands where they checked for drugs
in my late teens and 20's all the time, and for no reason.. I got pulled over 10 years ago because of the car i was driving ( I know this because the cop was eyeing me for a while) when he pulled me over he said the car was reported stolen LOL. I kept it cool.. my friend got REALLY upset.. but in the end they said sorry but here in Quebec it is well known to get pulled over
did you look younger than your age? maybe they thought you were not old enough to be driving.
Yeah plenty of times when I was younger for speeding unfortunately , the last time I was pulled over was about six years ago for a red light which was still yellow and I was making a alert turn while in the intersection. The cop was kind of a jerk but I plead not guilty and got it down to a parking ticket since my license was clean
Don't you know what a yellow light means? It means go like hell as it's going to turn red!
https://youtu.be/JAruDct_lXk
@Daniela1982 I tried but I was making a left turn and there was another car in front of me
I got pulled over for smoking my tires but the cop was an acquaintance of mine so we just shot the shit a bit and then he let me go.
2 occasions.. supposedly I went "5 over" in a school zone. in a new truck (I had temp plates)
and the other. I was "looking at them wrong" they had blacked out windows in an unmarked car. When they seen my ID and I told them I was one of them (a volunteer) I get told "you shouldn't look at someone like that or you will be shot"...
Yep, a couple of times. They just checked my identity and asked me what I was doing.
Most of the time because I like to go walk at night, especially in summer, and of course they find it suspicious because my town is basically dead at night, there's no real reason to walk outside that late.
I walk and bike at night a lot in the summer. no sun at night so can walk and bike shirtless in short track shorts and not worry about sunburn at night.
@cutsleeveboy Same for me, and it's not as hot as in the day, which is nice because I hate the heat. But I leave in a small town, and after 10pm everything is closed and most people are already inside.
it is nice walking around at night. less traffic. no worry about sun aging your skin. and it's cooler at night. is nice being shirtless out and about. do you go to the fairs and other summer events? hard to picture being totally dead at night here we have people driving around and walking around at night and going to the stores at night. got night shift workers too. do they recognize you now and leave you alone?
@cutsleeveboy There aren't summer events at night here, at best they end at midnight.
No fair in the summer there? no carivals? no festivals or music acts people go to watch? people don't walk around at night? drive around at night?
@cutsleeveboy Nope. Even fair or festivals end at midnight at best, and shops are closed by 10pm. A couple of people pass through at night because the main road is also an important road in the region, and they come back from other places.
But overall no, after midnight, it's over.
what do you wind up doing at the fairs? walk around shirtless in shorts at them too? do you get people chatting with you at them? I love going shirtless at fairs. I get a lot of people chatting with me and i enjoy chatting with people too. I love cotton candy. and the rides are a lot of fun too. even the bars are closed after 10?
i get pulled over all the fucking time for 'speeding' I usally just sweet talk my way out of the situation lmao and all the sheriffs in my town know my parents anyways so they would ever give me a ticket.
showing legs, boobs or crying work when trying to get out of a ticket unless the cop is a woman
I loved reading that!
How do you flirt?
My pal and I just delivered 250,000 Xanax to somebody to bag up and we got tailed, we thought we were going to jail 100% but it turns out my drivers insurance wasnāt showing on their system hahaha. Lucky escape 😁
Holly Sheep Shit. You escape that one
I've been stopped by cops many times over the years. BOTH as a driver and a passenger. Nothing major, speeding, or a light out thing. I have been arrested though. Long story made short I was cleared by the cops that same day and was released.
Once because the cop thought I wasn't wearing a seat belt... I was wearing a 3 point racing harness instead.
Another time he as suspicious of me driving my Lancia at 1 am🤣 (probably jealous)
speeding

once for a red light during an emergency to the hospital
I was pulled over for going like a 120 (I'm not really sure) on the freeway, might of been a 110 as I wasn't paying attention.
twice, no back light faulty, the second no indicator just smiled and flashed my legs nothing booked more the pity
Legs or boobs or crying work when trying to get out of a ticket
I drive fast af or try to skip getting a registration tag. Both happened once and almost shit myself because i"m black.
White, Latinos, Asians... etc., we are crap too.
Speeding. It has always been right in a spot where the speed limit drops and I didnāt slow down soon enough.
I have been on my license for 21 years, and I can honestly say I have never been pulled over. Then again I am a by-the-book-driver.
Been pulled a couple of times when out at stupid o clock at night. Just random checks wondering why I'm on road at that time.
Speeding, running a red light, broken lights, broken exhaust⦠never got a ticket. They see instantly that otherwise I am an upstanding citizen. 🙃😁🤗
When I was a younger lad, I made poor life decisions from time to time. I got a couple DUI's Those would be the first thing I would take care of if I had a time machine.
Twice for speeding 🤷āāļø
I'm a terrible driver and I've done a lot of stupid shit. I'm surprised i haven't gotten pulled over more.
Yeah, tail light wasn't working, not stopping completely at a stop sign and that's it. Got a warning on one and with the tail light, he just had me turn my hazards on to get home and fix it the next day
Twice for speeding. Only one ticket.
And once for a bank robbery suspect.
I was driving a truck and they should have been looking for a car. Must have missed the memo?
Once for a DOT check in a dump truck.
Several times.
Speeding.
Some times I got off with a warning, sometimes I've gotten a ticket.
I have for being Undercover.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/3C4qbIOhLgwYea cause I was speeding and swerving through cats on my way to qrok once and I cut a cop off, in my defense, I didn't see her.
Cars*

Speeding, and out of date inspection. The inspection one I knew was coming and the guy was very pleasant. The speeding ones are usually more stressful⦠donāt know why.
Yes. Speeding. There is a neighboring town that is a known speed trap. (I may have been 3-4 mph over- they're really poopy heads there). Let me off with a warning.
a few times when I was younger... I used to drive FAST... so, I ended up paying a lot of fines... eventually I decided it was too expensive, and learned that I was going to get caught... so I don't speed anymore...
When I was a teenager, driving my sportscar, I was pulled over for speeding three times.
And for driving while being a longhaired bum
Haha didn't know that was illegal
Yeah one time no ticket just someone tried stealing my license plate but it didn't work so one screw was tied on tight and the other was so. lose so it had my plate hanging. He pulled me over to verify the car and let me go
Several times. Most of it was speeding, with the ocassional "just being an asshole." E. G. a cop followed me over a mile to pull me over because "I rolled a stop sign" leaving walmart. Suffice to say I hate the police, they are useless.
So the cop flashed you? lol. He just wanted to talk to a pretty girlā¦. ;)
Flashed his lights š but yeah that could be true he seen me in the store before this happened and followed me out
Speeding once, faulty tail lights another time, and accelerating through a yellow a third.
I got caught in a speed trap on the way to a family outing.
Only twice i was overspeeding. Both warnings so that was lucky. First time i got pulled over i was confused cos i didn't realized what was happening lol i didn't stop right away until they made the car noises.
Quite a few times. Mostly for speeding. Though the latest was because there was a power outage and I missed a mid block stop light.
yes, a few times... but that's expected since I cross the border a whole lot... lol
it's routine
A couple of times for speeding. Now I just follow a car that's going at a good speed so I'm not leading the pack.
I got pulled over and had been issued a citation for having my graduation tassel hanging from the rear view mirror. Some cops are so shallow! Besides that, I've been cited for speeding.
a lot of people have their graduation tassel hanging from the mirror to prove they are high school graduates.
@cutsleeveboy First of all, it was a college graduation that the tassel symbolized. Next, nobody was trying to prove anything. It was a special tassel hand-made for me by my girlfriend at that time. She put it there and I didn't mind at all. The point is that the cops in the patrol car were so shallow to even give a very small issue any attention.
I got pulled over 6 times in a row and only got a warning and then the 7th time got a ticket, which I deserved. And I havenāt been pulled over ever since.
Speeding, doing 65 in a 55. He gave me a warning and I went on my way.
The Female Cop thought I was attractive and asked for my #.
I got pulled over for speeding. This has happened 3-4 times. The last being about 10-12 years ago now.
I have it is the worst feeling I donāt really do any illegal stuff so it really is annoying and itās unnecessary bill
