No.
It’s important to at least acknowledge cultures and racial issues, etc because obviously there are differences…
Maybe I was raised different, but when someone says they don’t see color/race, what I hear is, “we all bleed the same blood” and “whatever color you are, you are still human to me.”
I have no reason to think someone who says “I don’t see color/race” is racist or ignorant unless they show that they are truly racist or ignorant.
It’s not racist but maybe outdated. I think it’s a far stretch to call that racist and takes the severity of true racism away. Anyone that says that literally just means that they see everyone equal. It’s a phrase that I believe came up with the baby boomers generation so they will say it a lot.

No. Or else Dr. Martin Luther King Jr would be considered "racist" by today's "I'm not going to say r*tards," but mentally deficient. These people are probably some of the dumbest people on Earth, tied with feminists and Flat-Earthers. And saying "I don’t see race/color" doesn't mean you literally don't acknowledge race/color, but that it's completely irrelevant to you. Which to me, it is. *I* don't see race/color.
But it's f*cking idiotic. One of the most ass-backwards, tribalistic thing stupid-ass humans still fight over. It's like waging wars over eye color or what hand people write with. It's SO bafflingly idiotic to me. And yet these same Critical Race Theory wastes-of-sperm will call everyone and everything "Hitler" even though Hitler was literally as obsessed with racism and ethnic purity as these garbage people pushing their woke propaganda and legitimate bigotry.
Ignorance comes from the hardcore races whining about being "oppressed" in the 2022 Western world, while people in Africa and the Middle East are getting their sh*t blown up or shot daily. Seriously, I wish I could take all these people from the third-world and swap them with these overprivileged dipsh*t Millennials and Zoomers whining about "racism and misogyny" from the comfort of f*cking Twitter and Reddit. Like, if I had a magic lamp, that's exactly what I'd do. Every North Korean living in poverty, every Ghanan starving to death, every Afghani seeing jets fly overhead everyday... And replace ALL of these people with these wastes of cum whining about non-problems in the West. These f*cking losers don't know the first thing about "oppression" and they really need someone to slap reality into them. Or stomp a boot down on their head in Communist China or something. And yes. I know. You can't fault r-tards for having an IQ of 70, or even making it to their late 20s and 30s while being absolutely idiotic to the point knowing what context and intent is, is beyond them. But I still do. These wastes of perfectly good human organs still have voting rights. And they still spread their divisive hate and race-baiting horsesh*t throughout the world, even IF they're the more useless of Useful Idiots to Soros, Schwab, and company. So no. I don't give a damn about race anymore than I do about what hand you write with. As far as I'm concerned MOST human beings are too stupid to deserve voting rights. And that spans race, gender, age, and sexuality. Find me someone who isn't a dumbass or a jackass, and I couldn't care less what race they are.
It is ignorant due to people using this phrase to discredit the discrimination BIPOCs have faced and continue to face while trying to make an earnest living. It's friggin exhausting and sad when I see those rare BIPOCs use the phrase themselves in hopes of aligning themselves as close to whiteness as much as they can. News flash, you will never be considered white, so accept and love yourself.
I would never allow myself to date nor befriend someone who dares to say this to me without giving them a piece of my mind. From experience, when someone has uttered those words, it is always later followed by them making ignorant or, if they fall into the BIPOC category, self-hating comments towards me.
We should all acknowledge everyone for their WHOLE being. So yes, see my color, see my differences, such as cultural differences. AS WELL AS what makes us the same, e. g., we all go through an existential crisis, poverty, depression, joy, happiness, etc. Our differences are what make the world more vivid and alive. It's what makes the world so chaotically beautiful.
So see my color damn it but don't allow your perspective to be limited by it! As that would be ignorant.
I think this is true in the end. My family is a Hispanic family, I’m raising a Hispanic child. We love our culture and would never pretend to disavow it, nor do we let others take it from us.
That being said, I will never let my son use victimization as an excuse for anything. We take our cards we’re dealt in life and we kick ass with them. So I agree that we should never limit our view of someone by what they look like, nor should we pretend that we’re all the same race with the same experiences. But people of the same race don’t have the same experiences either. And we should never define ourselves by what other people have done to us, rather we define ourselves what we do to and for others
That’s an interesting view. Where do you consider Hispanics to be in the oppression scale from POC? With blacks? In between whites and blacks?
The oppression scale is nonsense. If we were really being serious about it, the Mormons would be on the bottom because there was a legal geonocide against them that was active until 1976. Also native Americans for obvious reasons. There is nothing more damaging than grading us and our cultural importance by our skin color.
It's not racist, but it's foolishly PC and naive.
It's like saying you don't see the color of a sweater, or the color of leaves on a tree. Of COURSE you see the color of the person you're interacting with! Just like you see the color of their hair, eyes, their height, weight, age, ANY physical attributes. Their accent, how they speak whatever your language is if theirs is different.
Everyone sees the EXTERIOR of whatever/whoever they're looking at. The true issue at hand is how you think of, or treat a person who looks different, speaks different, is from a different country, religion, sexuality than you are.
Are you open to knowing someone unlike yourself? Are you interested in people not from your own background?
There are people who are closed. Who don't want to let the world into THEIR world. Their lives may be very narrowly lived. Of course, this is a 'choice. No one HAS to be open, tolerant, interested in meeting and knowing people different than themselves.
People who say they don't see someone's sex, age, color doesn't WANT to see who is in front of them: doesn't want to acknowledge the life experience that would be far different and perhaps more painful and difficult than theirs. This isn't colorblind. It's simply blind and, yes , willfully ignorant and denies a person's identify.
It also shuts out your ever truly knowing that person and allowing their life to affect you. It will never allow you to be friends with someone who is not your racial, sexual, age similar, carbon copy twin.
What a boring life you'll have and
this is what bias, prejudice and all the "isms" support: being shut off from know the world and the variety of people in it..
In my personal opinion. Saying you don’t see color/race or that you are able to see beyond color/race, it means you see the person for who they are. Not for what they look like on the outside. Character is what matters, not the color of your skin. Treat others the way you would like to be treated. I don’t know about you but I like being treated well and with respect. Unfortunately there are a lot of people who claim they’re for justice when really they’re for the complete opposite. It’s difficult to know who is legit and who isn’t when it comes to doing the right thing for others. The Villain is always the hero of their own story.
I had this conversation with my boyfriend once after some guy in the bar made a big deal about it
My boyfriend argued, if people say "I don't see colour" than it is ignorant really.
After all, it is 2022 and racism is still a problem, however when people take away colour as an issue then they are ignoring the issues that still occur.
That's how he explains it.
Basically, I'm white (me) so if I say I don't see colour I am ignoring that there are factors which put me in a slightly better place than others?
Racist? No. Ignorant? Yes. Allow me to explain:
I say it's not racist, because it's not usually done with malicious intent. However, it's missing the point. Observing differences allows us to pay more attention to injustices that occur so we can act swiftly. Under the assumption of "I don't see color" a person might assume that all races have it the same, which is simply not true. Everyone has their own struggles. Asians were racially abused because of the pandemic, Latinos are referred to as foreigners, and Black people as seen as thugs and criminals. These things have real implications in how people's lives are affected.
I guess my point isn't to believe in stereotypes, but to see how they are actually dangerous and can affect people of different ethnicities, so we can fight to change the picture. It's all about intent at the end of the day.
I would say that it is indeed ignorant, but not in a so negative way. Your heart is in the right place, but it is not the correct way of showing it. At least in my opinion.
There are people of colour (white, black, whatever), and that is part of who they are: their culture, history, part of their body and identity... Saying that you don't see their color is like stripping them out of all that.
You have to see their color, understand what that means, but not treat them differently as you would someone else, or better even, how you would like others to treat you.
I think it's the antithesis of it taken figuratively. It's also practical. A person's racial phenotype or skin color tells you nothing useful about their personality.
Even if we're trying to navigate the world hastily using the lowest-resolution view of it, there's no practical information we can even generalize about people with any reasonable accuracy given such coarse information.
That'd be like if I think a Scottish person and an Irish person are somehow alike in personality because they're both white, or a Jamaican and a Nigerian because they're both black, or a Japanese and Chinese because they're both Asian.
This is a very useless and misleading way to navigate the world as I see it.
Not racist
It's just considered disingenuous, even when coming from a good place. We all see color. It's a fact of life. But that color doesn't have to matter, which ultimately the idea you're trying to get across.
But when you say that it rubs people the wrong way even if they like you. I've never liked it when friends said that even before I could really verbalize why I didn't like it. If you just stop to think about it. If you truly didn't see color then you wouldn't feel a need to say it at all. Because it's not even a thought for you.
You don't see color means you refuse to acknowledge centuries of terror and geneticist trauma. That's stupid. I see you. You are descended from Africa. You see me. I am a pasty face Scots Irish lunatic from Belfast. You don't look Chinese to me. You don't look like a rich Arab oil sheik. No. You look black with all the things that come along with that. The history, the culture. I look like an Irish MFer who hates the queen and wants to abolish the monarchy. That's who we are. Denying who we are is some rank arse jacked up purity trolling virtue signalling https://ideas.ted.com/why-saying-i-dont-see-race-at-all-just-makes-racism-worse/
What happened to "judging a man by the contents of his character rather than the colour of his skin"? The goalposts for racism have totally reversed since the civil rights movement, and it's shameful. And fwiw I'm well aware that different groups of people can have very different life experiences, I'm not blind to what's happening in the world. But character should ALWAYS take precedence over racial classifications. Hell even "BIPOC" is just another way of saying "coloured people", a historically racist term used to separate black people from white people. If you think calling someone a "person of colour" is somehow "anti-racist", then you're too far gone.
I don’t consider it racist, no. But I don’t necessarily agree with it either. Different races DO exist, different skin colors DO exist and I think that it’s a beautiful thing. I don’t think that trying to ignore or deny those differences solves the issues with racism and discrimination, it just denies the beauty in differences when it comes to race and everything that comes with it such as different cultures and traditions. I think that if anything, people should start acknowledging the differences between different individuals and respect them regardless.
No. It is only considered racist or ignorant to say you don’t see race/colour by The Intersectional/Identitarian Woke Mob.
I have worked in many countries on differing engineering projects, and see everyone I've worked with as individuals with their own personality and skills, not as a racial stereotype.
The Intersectional/Identitarian Woke Mob want everyone segregated into their own 'safe spaces' with the exception of 'white people' for they will not allow to any 'safe spaces', they insist in seeing them as one homogeneous block without their own cultures, and see them as responsible for all the ills of the world, without considering any other causes. It is them I consider to be way more racist and ignorant than people treat others as individuals and do not judge them by what colour their skin happens to be.
No but racism is contagious. Believe me...
They I am, I believe diversity is the first rule of creation, I don't see myself superior or inferior.. But by the end of the day, people of your own race will whisper you stuff like "Quit talking with this dude! in the end he is Indian"... or "You don't treat people of your own race like you do with others"...
It's bullying, that's what it is.. They bully you to look at people the way they do. Just don't give them a chance.
1) A huge percentage of men are colored blind, literally.
2) to ignore color is to ignore culture and traditions. It’s like trying to avoid a sexual harassment claim by not looking at women or something. It’s racism with a blindfold. Just see color. Don’t treat them different, better or worse. There are actual differences in people that we can’t just blindly ignore. Medically, economically, educationally, etc. You DONT HAVE to have a black friend to not be racist. YES, it is racist to call out white people and misandrist AND racist to call out white men. Call out the INDIVIDUAL, not the race. Single motherhood in black families IS A PROBLEM, and does exist. You can’t blame racism or systemic racism on these matters.
Single motherhood in black families and white families happens because of poverty, lack of educationi, incarceration, drug addiction of the uneducated men these women couple with. Poor, uneducated men engage in criminal activities to get rich quick and end up getting nicked. Once in the system it's almost impossible to escape..
On my local NPR station I heard that a 51 year old white male was caught doing 120mph to escape cops murdering a bartender. AND robbing a bank!!! You can imagine a stupid 21 year old doing this but 30 years hence? How did this happen? What cracks did this guy fall through? It must've been dozens.
But the same is true of anyone involved in crime, except for that 5 to 10 percent of the population who are mentally damaged and are career criminals who enlist others in their schemes. This is a poverty problem in 90 percent of the cases. WHen children don't have both parents they are stuck in poverty, they have no diciplinarian to keep them on good paths. Struggling mothers cannot make up for those losses. Men take advantage of women in weak situations: more children usually are born and lessen positive outcomes for the initial AND future children.
There are more white people on food stamps and welfare than black people. But white people have more opportunity than blacks and other minorities, still. So
@Screenwriter “white have more opportunities” completely false and a lie. There are immigrants that come here completely poor and broke without government assistance and open businesses, become doctors, lawyers, etc. Single motherhood is a CHOICE. Being poor doesn’t automatically make you stupid and stuck in poverty. You’re trying to make black people seem like perpetual victims that are stuck being criminals and victims of systemic racism, which is a false doctrine made by RACISTS who want to keep black people from making something of themselves and compete in the real world. It’s actually extremely insulting if you were to tell a black person to their face that they can’t do as well as white people because they aren’t smart and have less opportunities. Any intelligent black person would laugh at you and call you a racist because you just said their hard work and ambition is a lie.
Best described as when you meet someone regardless of the pigmentation of their skin, you see and treat the person as you'd want them to treat you, unless they give you a reason not to. I also see the argument of it "ignores what people who are people of color go through" but it really doesn't because you can understand and empathize with that, but all it's really saying is someone is a clean slate in your eyes and not a rudimentary facet of stereotypes or biases when you meet them. I will say it doesn't always work like that because we're all a little bias, positively or negatively towards each others "groups" but in an ideal world, yeah.
In a way, yes, it's racist. It's just not the malicious and dehumanizing form of racism that's more commonly heard/seen. If someone's race were truly and completely looked over and not a factor of any manner, "I don't see color" wouldn't even be explained or expressed
I see differences only during introduction. Then once I’m familiar with someone, I literally see nothing. It’s weird, it’s like I don’t see the obvious differences anymore, despite the fact that the person might look 100% different to me.
I guess that’s the brains emotional response to gaining a friend or falling in love. So in a way I completely understand what you are trying to say.
There must be a terminology for this?
Lol to liberal lunatics anything is racist. If you're against the tons of border crosses Biden has created you're racist. If you're defending yourself by saying you had black boyfriend you're racist too
It's a problematic statement. Because people obviously see color. And they should. What shouldn't happen is choosing to treat someone a certain way because of said color. You can absolutely acknowledge what someone is while not altering how you interact with them.
What is and isn't racist isn't fixed. Not everyone is going to see the same thing as racist. So to some people it might be and to others it isn't. Due to this attempting to label a lot of things as racist or not can lead to a argument or fight. Instead of rushing to put any label on something it's best to simply label it at all. Because it's the only sure way to avoid creating an issue.
I think so.. but only in the sense that it would mean you just disregarded daily racism they may experience often because of their race/ colour, that you may not because you’re white.
We are all equal but our experiences growing up and being treated may be different and many white people probably can’t relate to that. Doesn’t mean we can’t try to though
Racist, no… ignorant, hell yes… If people didn’t see color, there wouldn’t be prejudice people or discrimination happening. That’s the exact reason why there’s a race/ethnicity field when we’re applying for an apartment or jobs. That’s to avoid a discrimination lawsuit, because for example, a certain percentage of a certain group has to be hired. Lmao so it’s complete bullshit when people say race doesn’t matter..
It may not be racist, but it's SUPREMLY IGNORANT!!! Race/color matter! The coverage by Western journalists regarding the situation in Ukraine is a clear example. In the past 18 months, there have been several coups in African nations. No major Western media source has bothered to even mention ANY of this! There are refugees and atrocities. It has already been reported that Afro Ukrainians are not receiving the same treatment as white Ukrainian refugees entering other countries in Europe. The suffering that the Ukrainian people are experiencing is also happening in many other places around the world. European journalists have made statements referring to how the situation in Ukraine is shocking because "Europeans" should be more "civilized." Of course, this is totally absurd. You need to look no further than both WWI and WWII. EVERYONE sees race and color!
Neither, it would be considered colorblind.
Why do people think that pretending everyone is the same, or that they don't notice things, is somehow being respectful?
Just don't stereotype people, and don't be an ass, no need for all that extra unification garbage.
The intention behind the message is to show acceptance of everyone regardless of color. Me, personally, I see color. I feel like if there's no color, there's no uniqueness. Without color, there's no black culture, no latinx culture, etc. Different doesn't mean inferior.
It's not racist to acknowledge that people come in different colors. It's not even racist to assume that different colors can correlate with certain cultural connections. But it is racist to say that those colors make people differ in "quality".
Saying "i don't see color" is just idiotic nonsense. Of course you see color. Color is a thing, unless you're colorblind. But you shouldn't be judgmental based on color.
People that reduce race to nothing more than skin color are in extreme denial of reality and biology. There are very real genetic and cultural differences between races. In some cases this is a good thing, in other cases it's a bad thing. There was a study showing that whites are much more likely to overlook race than people of other ethnicities. While it's admirable to overlook race, it's also a mistake because the other person views you as white and separate.
Everything is not racist. Liberals and snowflakes need to calm down. If some guy walks past you and his skin was green, you'd think "that's a green guy". Whether you discriminate against him for having green skin or not is an entirely different matter.
I don't think so. We're human after all. Someone's race or skin color doesn't matter.
Im seeing all if these posts talking about it "being ignorant to racial issues and racism"... no, it's not ignorance to it happening in the world, it literally just means "i treat humans like humans, regardless of skin pigmentation" not a single bit says anything about denying the issues of the world, only how the one person who says it views others. Stop overreading into shite pretending to be "woke".
people are so fucked. if you genuinely don't focus on people's race, colour ethnicity whatever and only the fact that they are a breathing human being and they have equal rights like everyone on this planet how can that now make you a racist. ya just can't win.
48% of women think your still a racist... omg
I wouldn't say racist. But it could be considered to be ignorant. Especially in America, since the very foundation of American society is the weird, ever shifting paradigm of race.
Maybe this is the problem with “African-Americans”? There is no black race, I mean are pygmies who talk in clicks the same race as my family? I thought they were slaves or lesser people? My ancestors are from West Africa not Ethiopia / Uganda / Swaziland or or anywhere else. Is “African American” EVEN a ethnicity? I’m not an expert in this field AT ALL so sorry for my ignorance
@JustiReno There is no "White" race. There isn't any "Yellow" or "Red" ones either.
African-American Culture is real. Ukrainian-American Culture is real. Chinese-American Culture is real.
Because culture is the only meaningful difference between groups of human beings.
We don't even divide ourselves up by genetic groups.
@JustiReno Well, you might want to read up on race theory. The concept divides the human race into four groups. Try search Google for Carleton S. Coon.
"White", "Yellow", "Black", and "Red".
The world population can be divided into 4 major races, namely white/Caucasian, Mongoloid/Asian, Negroid/Black, and Australoid. This is based on a racial classification made by Carleton S. Coon in 1962.
https://www.britannica.com/biography/Carleton-Coon
Why would I read up on something that isn’t true? I have a job, a girlfriend, and I like to sleep LOL… my great aunt once asked me to read “The Heart of Darkness” and write her a report on it. I’m not sure what she was interviewing me for but I read the first few pages and felt really offended that she’d ask me to do that but maybe that was the point
@JustiReno Are you being genuine or are you just playing around?
I don't believe in race theory. But anyone in America knows about the theory and many folks still believe in it. I am in a huge debate about its validity here at this very site.
So I don't understand your point.
A question was asked about something being racist. I said it might be ignorant but not racist and you jumped in.
Now do you have a point or are you just playing dumb?
@RolandCuthbert sorry I confused you. We are having two different conversations. I agreed with you and asked you a question. You started talking about something totally different with me and you lost me. How is that hard to understand from your point of view?
@JustiReno Nah, you pretended that you didn't understand race theory.
So I gave you a link on it. Then you said you didn't want to read something that is false.
Which means you understood race theory from the getgo and was trying to goad me into something.
So please stop being disingenuous and state your point.
@JustiReno Sir, look at the post. I did not ask a question. I made a statement.
You asked the question and you asked it of me. And now you are pretending like I am the one ranting, when it is obvious you were disingenuous from the start. You had some axe to grind and I am not going to let you grind it on me.
I don't know you from yesterday and never cared about your opinion until you posted me.
GUY! I F AGREED WITH YOU. I ASKED YOU A QUESTION! I don’t get why this is so hard to understand? What Axe am I grinding sir really when you wanna spout off all this crap that has nothing to do with the conversation I’m tryna have with you? Why I asked if what you said was directed at me or the “class”? I said I never seen a F yellow person? When did I comment on race theory once? That’s a conversation you’re having with yourself. Obviously it is you who has the axe to grind as you mention another debate you’re having on this site? Really? Debating race on a site for creepos and straight LOSERS? I see you enjoy putting other people down, points to you having low self esteem. I was serious omfg… I seen you post something about race before and replied on your opinion. I asked is “African American” a ethnicity, you came back a couple posts later that it is a culture. You answered my question… I really can’t get any more from you and this convo.. Yeshua Ben Yosef 🙄
@JustiRenoDude, so in one post you say you didn't ask me a question. . . you pretended I asked a question. Now you are saying you asked a question. Then you say why is this so hard to understand.
It is quite obvious you don't even understand yourself. So take some time, figure out what you want to say and try posting again. I don't like disingenuous folks. You can pretend not to understand what race theory is, we both know you know exactly what it is. As for what you see, I never asked or cared. I live in America and I know the concepts America as a society struggles with. What you struggle with is neither my concern or issue.
I know who I am and I know my group identity. It exists without your consent, your advice or your permission. Just like your identity exist without my input.
That's how the world operates my friend. Good luck trying to focus your views down the throats of other people.
Now you’re just being annoying, are you really this F stupid? I quote myself “ agreed with you and asked you a question” I NEVER said you asked me a question where are you getting this from? Seriously you sound like a fool can you READ? WTF IS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND DUMMY I AGREE WITH YOU ON RACE THEORY BEING BS DID I NOT SAY THIS I SAID I NEVER SEEN A YELLOW OR RED SKINNED HUMAN BEING WHY ARE YOU THIS DENSE?
@JustiReno Yeah, you can scream all you want. Ranting trolls get their rocks off doing that.
Just remember to clean up before your mom gets home.
Thanks for the support!!!
Haha!
@Darine123 do I live with mom?
@RolandCuthbert AND YOU IDIOT THATS A UKRAINIAN DRIVEN VEHICLE NO WONDER THEY HATE THEM TOO THIS IS BEYOND RIDICULOUS ITS SCARY
You mad bro?
:D
@RolandCuthbert 🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍all day all night what you are? You have a secret crush bro? Seriously you don’t even care that’s a Ukrainian vehicle? What the hell is wrong with you? SNAKE!
Don't hurt yourself bro. It isn't that serious.
Wow, you are really mad at me.
Sorry dude.
Sort of.
:D
You are laughing at yourself.
Wow. . .
This isn't a gay thing is it?
It isn’t racist or exactly ignorant, but more of a lie these days. 10 years ago? Sure. I grew up sheltered in the 90’s and thinking racism was a thing of the past. But racism right now is probably the worst it’s been since the civil rights era so you’d have to be completely disconnected from society to not be influenced by the constant stream of hate and division being pumped out by every media apparatus out there.
Bottom line for me is. It's racist if you single someone out because they are a different religion or colour.
Most people who are racist, KNOW they are being racist, and it isn't usually because of what they say, it is HOW they say it.
It probably originated as a way of announcing that you are not racist in order to make POC around you more at ease. However it seems to have the opposite effect for some reason.
It's really not racist... But it leans that way. It's perfectly natural to notice color. To say you don't see color is to say you don't see smiles only faces. We live in a world full different ethnicities... Be proud of yours, nothing wrong with that... just don't step on others or treat them any differently than you want to be treated.
They should just say they don’t judge people by color, if that’s what they mean. Trying to claim that they aren’t able to see different skin colors just sounds dumb.
No, it's jus a lie people say to be social justice warriors or people who are desperate for progressive social politics bullshit, they jus wanna be praised and feel like "oh I'm such a good person I don't see colour"
But it's a stupid lie cos if you went into the eyes of that person. Unless they are colour blind it's pretty obvious they can point out the black person or the white person. Fucking liers
They are guilty about something If they are saying that, me... As someone who's definitely not a racist.. I can admit that some people are different colours. And I don't have to act like we're all the same colour to feel good about myself. I already know I'm not racist
So people who say they don't see colour must have sum kind of guilty conscious if they're so desperate for praise and approval of "not being racist". They must have had racist thoughts in the past and now they're trying to redeem themselves or something
I see a human being. I don't care about skin color. Gender. Background. I will show respect to everyone until they give me a reason not to
Right. And the fastest way to lose respect is to call me a racist because i say i judge people on the content of their character and not their race. I dont respect those people at all.
"SEEing" as in "perception of the visible light spectrum" is a simple fact of eyeballs, brains and life.
Whether you choose to ACT on that input (assuming that one is not blind from birth) is a totally different matter.
Color is a feature like any other. Is it ignorant to say you don't notice hair color? Not ignorant... very unobservant though... definitely not racist.
It's considered either being retarded or so frightened into silence and you lose contact with reality.
No, and it's incredibly STUPID to even think it is!! But, that's the loony left for you!! Even if you're NOT racist, you're still racist because it's racist not to be racist!!
I mean no but... still doesn't make me feel any better when I'm with a white girl and she still takes "precautions".
I don't really think it would be racist, might be ignorant to some people but not to me. That is just saying I don't care what is your race, I care that you are a human and I treat you equally. So, I'm weirded out by why some people call it racist.
Some people don't judge based on color, and claim they don't recognize racial characteristics in people.
No its just stupid. You see color, you can just choose to disregard it in how you see or treat people
Nowadays everything is racist. It used to be a sign of being "anti-racist" to not see colour. Not i's racist. These people are just nutcases-
The idiots on the left would call you racist for saying you don’t see color. But I understand you are saying that you see people as individuals and not a collective, so that’s inherently not racist.
In my opinion, yes. But that doesn't mean those who say it mean it as such.
My issue with it is that it is dismissive. You may not see color but my color is seen.
But the second they see a black guy being discriminated against they see colour very well.
Nope, and saying the opposite is just a way for people who want to use racism as a weapons to attack those who didn't do anything wrong but aren't siding with them.
The only people I know who see it this say are the insufferable race-baiters who just want attention by stirring shit up.
*way
Not at all because that’s how God made us. I imagine though if you surround yourself with people that say that enough times, you will start to believe it is.
It's no different than saying you are ignorant of race and racial nuances.
It doesn't matter if you are white or black. What makes you you really is your personality. skin color is just the clothes we wear, in fact, we are all the same person wearing different clothes, only the model and color of our clothes are different.
The issue with saying you don't see race is refusing to acknowledge racism, or struggles faced by poc
This is fucking wrong!!
This is a fucking LIE !!!
Here the TRUTH:
I will never understand why people think it's racist. It has nothing to do with history it has to do with the individual situation at hand.
