Do you think we should bring back bomb shelters and talk of how to prepare for nuclear attack in the modern age?

I feel like in present tensions it could be useful to prepare for such an event. However, the information would need to be updated from that back in the 50's till the 80's Cold War era.

Yes, we have our local post office and it's a bomb shelter, I remember my late paternal grandparent's lived out in a country setting and they had window blinds that were used back in the war so their house couldn't get hit by bombs and yes we are all from Pennsylvania but they were from Allegheny County

i think you will be very hard pressed to find a "nuclear bomb shelter" anywhere. there's just very few big facilities in some mountain ranges. that's what was build for the president to be safe. not for tools like you and me xD

the 50s bomb shelters were for classical tnt explosives. not for nuclear. there's really no protection for that. maybe you find an ols mineshaft. that might do the trick

Nuclear war within our lifetime is unlikely but not impossible.
Also if Russia's ICBM arsenal is as well maintained as the rest of the army then a nuclear war might be indeed survivable.
