A major contributing factor towards my support for this bill is the prevalence of teachers looking to indoctrinate students into wokism. That is why I think those topics should be pushed back until the kid is less impressionable.
I never said that you could make somebody gay, but you can absolutely cause children to think they have gender dysphoria when they just need some confidence in their bodies. Gender dysphoria is a horrible thing, it is not a positive thing and it should not be encouraged. It should be treated when the patient is an adult if the problem persists.
If an application can do that what do you think a teacher can do? This woke nonsense has to be stopped just as firmly as the Evangelical Christian right nonsense has to be stopped.
I would also encourage schools not to teach religion too early due to the impressionability of children.

We pulled our kindergarten daughter out of "sex ed" (I can't remember what they tried to rename it) because we felt it's too early to teach 5 year olds about intercourse and foreplay, which is what they were teaching. The school was really upset and tried to twist things by asking us if we were hiding her from school discussions about "things" that happen in our home. We didn't cave, but they are manipulative and evil. Let kids just be kids. They get such a short time.
I agree. However, a lot of parents voiced their disapproval of us NOT wanting to teach our 5 year old about human reproduction. We had 2 sets of parents telling us how horrible we are and that they don't like to hide anything from their kids. My husband and I agree that as adults we still don't want to know what our parents were doing, so I doubt a kid wants that kind of information. Another parent tried to tell us how she had the talk with her 5 year old son and explained how the mommy parts and daddy parts fit together. She said his initial response was surprise and he asked her if she did that with Daddy. She was laughing about it and telling us as proof that teaching sex acts to 5 year olds is okay. 🤦

No, the bill prevents TEACHERS from talking about it in schools. Kids are still free to ask (which they will) and parents are still free to explain. And if you think you had no curiosity about sex before puberty hit, you're either deluded or lying to yourself. You'll also note that I AGREE; you don't need to overwhelm the kids. But they're GOING to hear these words, and they're GOING to want to know what they mean. And they're GOING to find out, one way or another. Why not tell them the truth? That it's a sexual thing- give them a vague but concise answer, like I explained, and if they want to know more, let them ask their parents.

I don't think sexualized topics even in the context of history should be taught to kids. There is a lot of sex in history so just leave that to later on.
Normally I would not be against a benign teaching of gay people in history but I really do believe there is a social justice warrior agenda involved with sexuality, race and so on and such topics centered around identity should be dialed back significantly to counteract social activists.
At the very least, let parents know about these lessons and let them make the choice themselves in my opinion.

School administrations are not notifying parents if their kid is questioning their gender. Instead they are referring them to “counselors”.
Parents have a God damn right to know what’s going on with their kids ESPECIALLY if they are considering transitioning while they are still minors.
Also kids are exploring their bodies but it not appropriate to bring up sex Ed to a kindergartener let alone “gay education”.

Apparently none of you I've never had a child ask you where babies come from when they were about two or three years old. My daughter asked me that when she was two. I struggled with the answer and it was not an easy conversation for me to have although she was quite blase about it. I admit she was a bit young to be asking that question but none the less children do that and having a good answer for them it's a good idea.
