Do you think the Wests' response to the Russo-Ukrainian War would have been different if the Neo-Fascists group had still been in power in Ukraine?

Part of Putin's justification for the war against Ukraine was the "de-Nazification" of the country. Now what does that refer to; well in 2013-2014, the Euromaidan protests occurred and ousted the then president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and a coalition of Neo-Fascists took power that were largely inspired by the Organization of Ukrainian nationalists. These organizations had a Ukrainians first policy and heavily marginalized other groups leading to the rebellions in the Donbass region. What Putin is omitting however, is that since then, Ukraine has had elections and the far-right coalition now holds less than 2% of all political offices in Ukraine.
Furthermore, Ukraine is hardly the only country that has a problem with these kinds of extremist groups. They have become a problem all across Eastern Europe (Russia included). Around 15 years ago, Amnesty international described violent racism in Russia as "out of control" and Putin has brought in the "Wagner Group" mercenaries in Ukraine; an organization with Neo-Nazi ties (their namesake is Hitlers' personal musician) known for committing war crimes. In the US, which side to support has become a point of contention while others have decried the conflict as a "brother war" among white supremacists.

In fact, I would argue that the only reason that such extremists groups have gained as much power as they did is because Yanukovych was putting the Kremlins' interest above Ukraine's. But how do you think the "Wests'" response would have been had these groups still been in power. I'm guessing that Poland would be far more reluctant to support Ukraine because they glorified the UPA which massacred +100,000 Poles in Galicia so it might be harder to supply arms to Ukraine. In fact, it's alleged that Putin reached out to Poland to make a deal to Partition Ukraine.

Although if the Azov Battalion and the Wagner Group slaughter each other, I guess there will be a silver lining to this conflict.
