Would you be worried that they might come in a big black SUV , grab you and make you disappear forever

Nope. I speak my mind but it's not like they read nor litsen to what i say or write 🤷♂️
Hell yes. Ask Julian Assange about this.
Well, yes, when you violate the law, the government has a tendency to come after you.
Furthermore, he's a douche which is why the Ecuadorians ceased protecting him in their embassy and the UK arrested him.
He keeps loses extradition hearings and appeals, so he's headed to the U S of A to face justice for the crimes he committed.
Frankly, he's lucky. He could have faced - and should face - the same destiny as the Rosenbergs, but he won't. However, he is not a US citizen, so I am willing to cut him some slack and let him serve out his term in his native Australia.
@abc3643 His government was complicit in that they did nothing to protect him and for a while charged him with fake rape allegations that were eventually retracted.
As for his "crimes", since when is it a crime for a journalist to expose the fucking WAR CRIMES of the US?
Do you know him or have you met him or spoken to him? If not, where do you get off calling him a douche or anything else?
So, his government and every other government are complicit and willing to look the other way against the US "war crimes". That's on the level of conspiracy thinking.
No. Pure and simple, he committed a felony. Even if he did reveal "war crimes" (as decided by who), he still violated the law. The law is the law. If he had issue with whatever data was given to him by Bradley/Chelsea Manning, then he should have challenged it in court or, at minimum, brought it to a reputable newspaper like the New York Times who published The Pentagon Papers in 1971 (Google that since it is relevant.). At least he could have been under the protection of NYT editors and lawyers who would have gone through the data and understood what could have been published (and to what degree) that still whistleblew but likely would not have violated the law.
... But he didn't. He immaturely took the law into his own hands and committed felonies in the process.
Even libertarian South Park gets it.

Maybe you'll understand this some day.
@abc3643 Yes, I noticed the Australian government trying really hard to stop Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. All of them were completely illegal wars in which the US committed many war crimes.
Assange is not a US citizen - he is not compelled to follow US laws, but of course he took a great risk in publishing what he had, given the fact that the US is willing to violate its own laws and Swedish law by trying to kill him. Apparently no laws apply to the US at all.
.. and that's the way it is with war too.
Captain Kirk and Mr. Scott understand that reality which you should too if you watched the episode "A Taste of Armageddon".

Shortly after issuing General Order 24...

SCOTT: Open a channel, Lieutenant. This is the commander of the USS Enterprise. All cities and installations on Eminiar Seven have been located, identified, and fed into our fire-control system. In one hour and forty-five minutes, the entire inhabited surface of your planet will be destroyed.
Later, Captain Kirk gives a lesson in human nature and the reality of war.

"Assange is not a US citizen - he is not compelled to follow US laws,"
Let's think this through, shall we?
Suppose Jean D'eau, a Canadian citizen, visits the United States and kills Billyjoejimbob Bumfuk.
I guess Billyjoejimbob Bumfuk's family doesn't get any justice because Jean D'eau "is not a US citizen - he is not compelled to follow US laws".
Suppose Jean D'eau, a Canadian citizen, then kills your wife or kids. I guess you and your family don't get any justice because Jean D'eau "is not a US citizen - he is not compelled to follow US laws".
Care to take back what you said?

In Japan, I'm fine with it and do sometimes. It doesn't take much in the way of guts here since they aren't going to do anything.
In Singapore, I don't think I would (it's illegal) unless I saw them doing something so terrible that I thought it worthy to risk everything to speak out. There they actually arrest people for even social media posts criticizing the legal system. It'd be plain suicidal to attempt that there and wouldn't accomplish much.
They don't care. They think they are untouchable... They're not, but they think they are. They tend to mainly suicide their own that leak info on them to begin with so that they can't testify in court. All the figureheads that will take them down publicly have massive security details. Everyone else is generally irrelevant.

"In those wretched countries where a man cannot call his tongue his own, he can scarce call anything his own. Whoever would overthrow the liberty of a nation must begin by subduing the freeness of speech; a thing terrible to public traitors."

not against america for sure. but if i was chinese, russian, ukrainian, korean (maybe a few other governments as well but those are the ones at the top of my mind) then yeah, i wouldn't speak about my opinions to the internet.
I have zero fear, I will always speak my mind. I also do not fear death though and am slightly unstable mentally so I'm probably not the best person to answer this.
I still believe in free speech and will not be silenced.
Here it’s not too dangerous to speak out what they’ll kill you in other countries if you do like that woman in Russia
Any "no knock warrants" will be met with surprises.
Depends on if I express any Conservative views in the United States. Most of the time the Democrats can stand it and want all Conservative people arrested just for talking.
UK here. I speak against the government all the time. They're a bunch of corrupt idiots, just smart enough to line their own pockets.
No. America is a free country so I'm not afraid.
Not even remotely and I never have been.
Nope. Fuck Joe Biden!
Let's Go Brandon!
I don't know what your talking about.
It's part of our constitution freedom of speech
I really love my balls be attached to my body
