Why not separate them?
Current or past male, compete with males.
Ex-male, compete with ex-males.
Ex-female, compete with ex-females.
Current or past female compete with females.
That, or all sports are genderless. Period.
Let a woman or a man that wants to be a woman get out on a football field and take a crushing by a 360lb lineMAN, or a 245lb DB tackle, or taking a check from a 6'4", 235lb defenseMAN.
Ok, back to reality. This comes down to two sports, swimming and wrestling. I say, I can't imagine either a female on male hormones, or a male on female hormones being allowed to compete with natural women.
First, let me say that I think a female wanting to be a male, competing in "male" sports... except in extremely rare instance (s), a natural male would emerge the winner.
Here, with swimming and wrestling, we're talking selective breeding. Taking all of the "manly" attributes and packaging them as a female, or enhancing female bodies to give them male attributes.
It's all somehow wrong... especially in sports, especially for a group seeking recognition. I don't see how there can't be separate, different classifications. Some competitions aren't competitions, they're slaughters. Let's be realistic.
What's next? Recruiting an individual as soon as they become woke to the inkling of gender identity issues?
No one sees problem with allowing this gender fluidity stuff to flourish? I don't get it and I really don't care. I know I'm a man. End of my interest, but it just seems to me, that if all of this is going to cause such a ruckus, that freedom of choice has been left gone a little too far. One doesn't scream fire... freedom only goes so far. This genie is out of the bottle, now what?
We either allow genderlessness and create new groups, or let the king speak and proclaim there are two genders and that's it!

Personally I would say that you should always compete as your sex, if you were born male, you compete in the male events, if female you're in the female.
Sex is what you are at birth and refers to your genetic make up.
Gender is what you express, feel and want to be seen as.
Look at people like Denis Rodman, he was always known for crossdressing and strange style but he never worried if he should be in the women's leauge instead?
I'm genetically a man but feel and present as a woman, but I'm not ashamed of my sex, and you do have to accept your born as one or the other, but you can live how you like! But in competitive events it only makes sense to mix all sex's or just have it stay simple as genetic male and genetic female.
Why would it matter if one of the men running the 100m looked like a woman? 🤔 as far as I can see it wouldn't!

A person born a man with a male physique should NEVER be allowed to compete against women in women's only sports.
The only solutions is to have a separate transgender division where only transgender persons compete against others. Just like they have the "Special Olympics"... disabled people compete against other disabled people.
It is a complete injustice to let men decide to go trans and then be given free reign to kick the crap out of all the biological girls in the girl's sports... track and field, swimming, weight lifting... you name it.
I'm astonished rational, common sense people would not prevent this obvious injustice. Someone born a man, balls... dick, muscular frame, bigger, stronger... one day decides to transition to a girl, changes their name, starts wearing make up and girls clothes... starts taking hormones and then is turned loose on the girl's sports divisions and kicking the hell out of them. No girl will ever have a chance to win again. Travesty.

Simply make people understand that if you were born with 2 X chromosomes you must compete with others that also have 2 X chromosomes and if you were born with 1 X and 1 Y you must compete with other that also have 1 X and 1 Y chromosomes due to the scientifically proven fact that people with 1 X and 1 Y chromosomes are born with a physical advantage therefor letting anyone with 1 X and 1 Y compete against people with 2 X chromosomes is unfair to all the people who have 2 X chromosomes

Simple, let women compete against men but not the other way around. If a woman can beat a man in a sporting competition, good for her. If she can't, you can't say it's unfair or due to discrimination.
There are guys who couldn't measure up in men's competitions, so they claimed to be women so that they could win scholarships, medals, etc.
Former men should NOT be allowed to compete in women's athletics. I don't think that's unfair at all. What IS unfair is destroying the advancements women have made since 1972 through Title IX.

I also strongly oppose allowing men who claim to be women access to women's only facilities. It makes women unsafe and it's creepy.

They shouldn't get any special accomodations and either compete against people of their biological gender or they shouldn't compete. This bullshit is causing physical and mental harm to people that are there because they have a passion for the sport and have worked their asses off playing by the rules their whole lives. They have a mental disorder and are trying to force others to accept the lie they have created and hurting a lot of people out of their own selfishness and lack of morality. We don't let grown men compete against little boys if they say they are little boys. These competitions are done physically so they should compete against people that are similar physically. It makes a lot more sense for everyone to tell the liar the truth than it does to make the whole world like and go along with their delusions.
Sorry to me its not really all the complex... this is something human civilization has over 100,000 year history as being a none issue. People are just stupid. Your talking about fucking up everything for everyone just so some people with serious self-esteem and insecurities boarding on if not out right mental illness can feel better about themselves by forcing the rest of us to be complicit with or a partied to their lie, and ignoring the truth about their problem.
As a compromise I say you include a new category or class of competition for them in the Special Olympics, because they obviously are way more special then the rest of us, if it is that we should care at all about their personal choices.
It's very simple: Don't compete. The world doesn't have to change for you just because you're mentally ill and think you're in the wrong gender's body. If you want to live as the opposite gender, then fine, so be it. But that's all you get. There aren’t enough to create their own leagues so we unfortunately need to ban them from entry. Otherwise women are essentially going to be pushed out of their own sports.
I wanted to join the army out of high school because I had no direction and felt that I could make a difference there. I was denied because I have asthma. It’s not my fault I was born with it. But it isn’t fair to everyone else I would inevitably put in danger if there was in an intense situation such as a firefight and I had asthma troubles. Sometimes we don’t get everything that we wanted in life, and we need to reach our children that reality.

Right now, people are pissed off that a biological male has undergone a sex change, and is competing against biological women. That gives them the advantage, which is unfair.
Flip it around, and force people to play based on their birth genders, and you'll have people pissed off that a biological female, who changed genders, took a bunch of testosterone, and is still competing against other biological women. That still results in an advantage, and is unfair.
Exclude transgender people completely, because they'll have an unfair advantage, either way? Still unfair.

I think the rule is that they have to have been on HRT for 2 years (after that any advantage is negligible) before they can compete. And Lia did the 2 years. She did not win because of her biology; that's just an absurd claim. She placed 8th in another race. She broke the pool record for the race she did win, but there are cis women who have swam the same race faster in other pools. Everyone in those races swam very fast. Someone had to win every race. One of the winners of one of those races was Lia. I wish people would calm down about it. It's not like most people actually care about women or women's sports; they just don't like trans people. If Lia hadn't been there then you probably wouldn't give a shit about Emma even if she came in 1st.
There's no complexity, people are making a big deal out of that in my opinion and a huge mistake by allowing this to happen. When someone is biologically male and went through male puberty, it doesn't matter if they're on hrt, not even if they have the same estrogen levels as a woman, they'll always have an advantage when competing with biological women, they're built different. There should be a space for transgenders, or as someone said somewhere I can't remember; a space/subcategory for trans women in male sports where they can compete together fairly, there has to be male winners and trans women winners. It would be different with trans women like Jazz or Kim Petras who transitioned from a very young age, but with Thomas is just ridiculous what they're allowing.

A biological male goes through puberty, his bones and muscles are flooded with testosterone, which is an anabolic hormone and promotes bone density and muscle mass. After puberty even if that person undergoes gender reassignment surgery or takes hormone blockers and estrogen, you can't undo the physiological advantages that the person received. The only solution I see is a separate league for trans-athletes; with two sub-catagories, transmen, and transwomen.

This is a really good question, which needs to be debated.
The core issue here is the physical advantages a trans woman who was born as a man has over women in terms of body size and strength.
Essentially it creates an unfair advantage and needs to be addressed.

I'm not sure there is a solution. A transgendered person will either have an unfair advantage or unfair disadvantage, because of their inherent genetically defined bodies.
Perhaps some kind of handicap system could be used for timed events, but that wouldn't work for other events (like soccer, tennis or baseball).

I think they either
1) shouldn’t be allowed to compete with either BIOLOGICAL women or men, or
2) make a trans/other division like other people have said. It isn’t right for biological men to complete against women who don’t have those biological advantages. That doesn’t mean that women aren’t amazing in our own way, but we need to stop biological women’s sports from being overtaken. I find it funny that modern-day feminists aren’t more upset about this...
Not enough Trans to compete against each other, so Trans should compete with the men.
Female to Male, you think you're a man, you're getting what you want by competing against men.
Male to Female, you already have the hormones and muscle advantages of being a man. Should compete with the men.
