In the olympics you win money for winning gold… so imagine if me being a man wanted to get easy money and get gold medal for a certain sport. Essentially go and win easy cash. After that others will see it and do it too then it will turn into men vs men in women sports rarely ever seeing an actual woman winning women sport.


This will spill into more critical money grabbing situations like college sport grants or free ride to college for your athletic ability, stolen by a man. Then you will really start feeling the disadvantage and by that time it will be too late.

Let the sports committee figure out their own sport. This is why leagues exist. If it's extra ordinary stats, they can figure it out.

What are we even talking about, under 1000 trans athletes out of 10,000,000? With just probability, one may be possible notable outside of being trans. If it's a solo sport , even less being a team.

I kinda want what chess has been cooking. While it's been male dominant for hundreds of years it got stale. So it created a women's league that uped women active players to 15%. This movement alone rejuvenated chess as a whole made it better push more people and we can see fun stuff again.

Imagine if it was 50/50 male female and everything inbetween with a billion active players nothing could be assumed and it be a whole new game with nothing changing of the rules.

Men are born with larger muscle fiber and that will always give them a competitive advantage when it comes to athletics. Someone born a man is just able to build up that much more muscle mass and quicker - that is science. It isn’t to say women can’t compete, but there is still a competitive advantage. If you want any type of measuring stick on this, just look at the women who competed for East Germany in the Olympics prior to 1990. Those women were so pumped full hormones and steroids that they looked like men, but it wasn’t natural.

Rare or not, it invalidates that theory, and you have to deal with 3,785 folks born like that annually. (I'm not even getting into the whole "gender is a social construct issue! Look at it this way; if the worldwide incidence is indeed 2%, then it's equally as rare as natural blondes or natural redheads. As to the whole binary discussion, 1 in 400 births occur where there's an extra or missing chromosome. I'm simply pointing out the science - you can do what you want with that part. I agree this is not a social construct issue. And generally speaking when you're born with both chromosomes or some sort of extra, they usually, not always, have a surgery to remove the extra. Well thanks, and there is nothing to be gained by being a jerk about it, especially if one can just look at the science. At least you acknowledge there are the anomalies, and whether we call them a third gender, or however we name them, it's clear there's more than just "one or the other". You may or may not be surprised how many people refuse to recognize or accept that. For the time being they're called intersexed, but you could make an argument for that being a general term for a third, or more genders, dependent on each genetic anomaly. Fascinating stuff if you ask me.

The way I see it is they are both not something different because they have both "parts" or chromosomes. They are the only people in my opinion who have the right to choose one or the other one day when they are older and can choose for themselves. And many do end up picking one or the other and have a surgery to remove the other part that they choose not to be.

I know that depending on how and when a person transitions there will be physical differences that can give an advantage in sports, but just being trans by itself isn't an advantage. Just being a man or a woman by itself isn't an advantage. It's just the physical differences between the average man and woman that can be an advantage. That's why you don't have to define gender for sports, you just have to use something measurable that's usually different for men and women and actually effects sports performance, like hormone levels.
