Agree or disagree? nationalism based on For example liking the food or flag or language is harmless but nationalism based on militarism is harmful to society and world peace?

As soon as Nationalism leaves sport, Olympics etc and events that are specific to ur own country, it is on the road to being bollox.

not just militaristic but also Politics, Religion as well.

When countries say they have God on their side, you know they are talking crap, ditto when politicians promote nationalism and start calling other countries out for stuff (other than freedoms etc) you knows it’s bollox.

A military is based on nationalism, or love of their nation, that in itself is not wrong, it’s often the political aspect which is wrong.

Ukraine and Russia are sort of examples.

Righteous wars are not detrimental BUT because you hate a people group or want real estate (Putin) is wrong. Global resource influence IS what it’s always been about 💰

Nationalism as far as supporting your country at the Olympics or eurovision is fine, as is partaking in it's national events, parades etc. It becomes dangerous when it's used to foster hatred towards other nations or to promote political agendas.
