We have some of if not the most lax immigration laws out of the majority of the world. It would be much harder for a US citizen to immigrate to a lot of countries then it would be for a citizen of other countries to immigrate here. A lot of countries don't even have duel citizenship laws, yet we do. So if you are proposing that we let everyone that wants to immigrate here without requiring them to become a citizen the answer is no.
Yes that is true. But it can some like people are pushing diversity by any means necessary and don't take in consideration the ratification that such a attitude can create. For example people would be willing to a open border policy to encourage diversity. Yet they don't consider the ramifications of such a decision. The truth is that a open border policy would make it easier for international crime outfits to further increase their presence in the US. The truth is that many already have a presence here and it isn't just groups from South America and Mexico that people point to.
Why does "diversity" automatically make a country better? It is just part of the PC/woke/cancel culture/SJW vocabulary that is recited without any conscious thought process. The fact that some people arbitrarily assign value to "diversity" doesn't actually make it better, just like some people preferring blond hair doesn't authomatically make it better.
I know, people just automatically take it as a given that multiculturalism, diversity, and having a heterogeneous population is a good thing. If anything there are more examples throughout history of problems arising from forced multiculturalism, be it either with mandatory diversity hiring practices, or with immigration. Is it really a good thing for large influxes of people with different cultural practices, beliefs, social mores, and not to mention language, to suddenly be introduced into the native population?
Whenever there are mass migrations in history it ALWAYS leads to instability, violence, and eventually, war. It happened when the Huns went west and pushed the Goths and Visigoths into Rome, over running its borders. It happened with the Mongols and Genghis Khan, as they swept over Asia. It happened when ships full of Spanish, Portuguese, French, Dutch, and British colonists landed in America, displacing the native tribes, taking their land, and changing the culture, even the landscape of America. It happened when boatloads of Africans were enslaved and re-deposited in the Americas, yet another non-native population that has to somehow co-exist amongst the European and indigenous populations, and of course we’ve had racial strife and killing ever since. It happened again when more boatloads of Irish started landing in America hoping to find a better life and escape the Famine in Ireland, but of course also displacing the Americans who were already here and competing for jobs, but also bringing large droves of Catholics into what was once a largely Protestant population. Certainly no religious clashes would happen between the two.
Again and again, when you have big migrations of people of different cultures and religions, some bad shit happens. It can be good for innovation and the interchange of new or fresh ideas, but otherwise it does more harm than good.

not right now no... right now lets simplify it. We need a strong foundation to build upon and balance the country on. Were not a multicultural country. we allow people in and allow their beliefs but expect them to follow our core standards. For example you dont allow muslims to kill gays in the states. Although we should consider taking their idea on stoning adulterers...

It is diverse enough. Now we have different groups all being pandered to by politicians to get votes. This divides the country instead of making it the big melting pot it was. The whole idea of America and what made it great was that people rom all over came here with their special skills and talents and assimilated into the general population. Now there are plenty of people who won't bother to learn English. We no longer have a common language.
