i have read too many times that Guns dont kill people, people kill people.

are people in the US being sucked in to believe what some gun manufacturer made up to try and pass the blame for the weapon they made and sold to young people that was involved in a mass shooting.

lets face it, without the gun they wouldn't kill quite so many, and those around would stand a better chance of apprehending that person as they wouldn't be running for their life from a maniac shooter.

it reminds me of the brain washing going on in Russia, where the Russian population believe that they are doing Ukraine good by liberating them. this is because, thats all they hear. the same as the people in the US keep being told guns dont kill. but answer me this, without that gun how many people would he have killed?

i know i am going to get a barrage of abuse from some gun loving maniacs for this and spouted its an innominate object etc etc etc. but lets face it, the only person that you are fooling is yourself and your proving that the slogans and saying produced by gun companies and lobbyists work.

guns kill more young people in the US then anything else. you have more than 1 mass shooting per day and yet you dont see the harm in people having weapons. the main reason you all have weapons is because the person next to you has one, thats all. but what you must realise is that an eye for an eye and the whole world will go blind. and once you pull that trigger, you have taken the law into your own hands and made your country lawless.

lets look at why guns were allowed way back when the constitution was written. they were allowed as you have large areas of land where you didn't have law enforcement and easy communication and access to machines to get law enforcement to that place quickly. so i get why they are there. but you have come a long way since then, you state that you are the most developed country in the world and a world leading country. but you have archaic rules that people dont want to change due to what ever reason and the results are this, 10 mass shootings per week, nearly 700 last year. now i am not sure but i would hazard a guess that, you could take all the developed countries in the world and we wouldn't be able to come up with a number like that (minus war zones naturally) .

Don't care about the Russians. I never seen, heard or read of a gun willfully shooting someone. I have a loaded 9mm Glock and a pump action shotgun and they have never shot anyone. It takes a deranged person to kill a person with a gun. What if the shooter had no guns but had two razor sharp machetes? I have no doubt he could have killed 22 unprepared people.

First of all, existing gun laws should be strictly enforced. Second of all, Stop and Frisk should be the law everywhere. This won't prevent mass shootings but it will reduce urban gun crime. The Uvalde school was totally unsecured. Even the resource officer was not there. Evil is on the loose and we can't stop it. But facilities can be secured with single locked man trap entrances and metal detectors at them.

Your dismissive, ignorant last paragraph will accomplish nothing beyond disarming innocent, lawful citizens. It's only virtue signaling. Feel better now, because you are so morally superior?

i guess your first statement says it all... dont care about anyone apart from yourself. thats why you have 2 loaded guns, just in case some maniac comes to your house. then you are prepared and will kill them.

i dont get why people want to remove freedoms and have stop and search etc when the issue is that they can have that weapon. if they didn't have that weapon then stop and search would not be needed?

you also mention that the school was totally unsecured. now for an English man that sounds crazy. our schools have a door with a lock, but nothing that a mad man couldnt get through. but to have metal detectors in schools, this is things for airports etc not for taking my little boy to school to make sure he is safe.

i know that its not easy to see it from our point of view, but when Aus banned guns, their gun crime plummeted. if the same was to happen in the US i am sure over time it would drop. yes it may take some time but at least you would be going in the right direction IMHO

It is my opinion that propaganda rarely shapes or forms the initial belief. Rather, life experience and the people you are close to have far more to do with that. What propaganda does is reinforce what someone believes or wants to believe.
