I support abortions because many (MANY) people are unfit to be parents, the world is overpopulated as it is and there's not enough resources to go around, and virtue signalling that you "care about babies" means nothing after they're born and face a lifetime of misery and abuse from parents who don't love them and never wanted them, but was forced to raise them because of a few right-leaning virtue signaling people wanted them to.
I've had so many discussions on GAG in why I don't like the pro-life movement an why they're complete hypocrites (being right-leaning, usually also the kind who support gun usage and murdering criminals in cold blood; which isn't "pro-life").
The OTHER Last Abortion and "Pro-Life is Stupid" Argument I Feel Like Having ↗
The Last Abortion and "Pro-Life is a Stupid Stance" Argument I Feel Like Having ↗
Why do both the political left and the political right love having the government control people's bodies so much? ↗
I can support many things that the right also supports, but the pro-life argument is just idiotic. I'm sorry (not sorry), but it is. It's based on nothing more than fake morality and fake "thoughts and prayers" and few pro-life people are willing to actually lift a finger to help support these embryos they don't want to see aborted. They just want to control other people, while also implying they care about freedom and bodily autonomy.
You can be pro-life, but if you're unwilling to actually DO sh*t in real life, to help support these unborn babies you pretend to give a sh*t online about, then no one cares what you have to say or think. Parenthood is a lifelong responsibility and many, MANY people are unfit to be parents, now or ever. And yes, I do think they should be having safe sex and protecting themselves more, you aren't going to stop stupid people from having sex, because if you could, we'd only have about 10% of the population on Earth that we do today.
TL;DR: Pro-life people need to stay out of other people's lives and mind their own business, because we have enough problems as it is with the people who already exist in the world.21 Reply

So many things happen in life. A child isn't always a good thing to happen to someone. Especially if they're not ready.
For me, it's the trolley problem.
Say you have a possible mother, with a partner. If they have a child, that's 3 people: mother, partner, child.
If one (or both) of the parents doesn't want the kid, but are forced to have it due to anti-choice laws, who suffers? The birthing parent, the supporting parent, and the child. Most importantly, the child.
Why most important? Because the child cannot consent. It cannot consent to being conceived, brought to term, or birthed. It cannot decide not to be brought into this world with its wars, unaddressed climate change, increasing wealth disparity, and dystopian politics.
Three people suffer.
What if the mother/parents decide to get an abortion? Perhaps the non-birthing parent is hurt and leaves, and now two parties are hurt. But both are consenting adults who decided to take the chance at childbirth. It didn't work out, but both were capable of choosing NOT to do this.
One to two people suffer, and the third isn't forced into a life they had no say in.
Abortion is also vital to preserve the health of birthing parents. There are many reasons a birth may require an abortion. This isn't just medical, it's also mental and socio-economical.
A parent unfit mentally or financially to have a child will result in the child's suffering, as well as the parents' suffering.
That could be prevented.
There are too many pros to abortion being legal.
One of the biggest being that it makes abortions safe.
Making abortions illegal will not stop abortions. It will only make them once more a deadly thing women will do with a wire coat hanger in a moment of desperation to save themselves.
And no one on the anti-choice side cares about the parents, or the children. They only care about virtue signaling. Doubt me? Ask an anti-choicer how many children they have adopted and raised. And how many would they if they were made responsible for the babies they're forcing to be brought to term by unready and unwilling parents?
Abortion being free, accessible, and supported means better mental, social, physical, and financial health for everyone. Taxes, people. Taxes pay for programs that people forced into childbirth will need.
Don't like paying higher taxes? Don't support anti-choice.30 Reply 1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Anti-abortion.
As to why, there are 2 main points:
● Human-rights
From fertilization onward, the child already has a separate human-D. N. A., providing proof of humanity. Allowing a bearer of human-D. N. A. to be legally a non-person, and executed without due-process with impunity is exactly the act of the Third Reich, the Great Japanese Empire, Islamic State, and other morally-compromised jurisdictions of their time. Also, given the nature & historically-documented uses of the specific practics, it's borderline-eugenicist.
● The Διδαχή ("Didache";「Teachings」), short or the Διδαχὴ Κυρίου διὰ τῶν δώδεκα ἀποστόλων τοῖς ἔθνεσιν (「Lord's Teaching through the Twelve Apostles to the Gentiles」) 2.2
Though not canon (included as a book in the Bible) in any major tradition, this founding document was used and modified as a constitution for founding congregations until the A. D. 400's, when Jewish clergy-membership, representation, and influence was already on the decline as Gentile-believers became the super-majority and took-over. Until then, it was like a משנה ("Mishnah"; lit.「study by repetition」) for Christians.
Verse 2.2 includes a prohibition on abortion:
「οὐ φονεύσεις, οὐ μοιχεύσεις, οὐ παιδοφθορήσεις, οὐ πορνεύσεις, οὐ κλέψεις, οὐ μαγεύσεις, οὐ φαρμακεύσεις, οὐ φονεύσεις τ́κνον ἐν φθορᾷ, οὐδὲ γεννηθὲν ἀποκτενεῖς, οὐκ ἐπιθυμήσεις τὰ τοῦ πλησίον.」
Translations vary, but this generally means: "Thou shalt not murder, thou shalt not commit adultery, do not commit pederasty (the Greco-Roman practice of having sex wit underage boys), do not commit sexual-immorality (unLawful sex), though shalt not steal, do not do sorcery, do not use potions, do not murder children via abortions or kill them after birth, neither shalt thou cover what belongs to thy neighbor."
https://www.earlychristianwritings.com/didache.html
Note: Of course, methods vary over time. Notice that the prohibition on the use of potions was mentioned before abortions. At the time in the Roman Empire, the predominant method was via potions.
Also, the practice of murdering children after birth was permissible Greco-Roman method of family-planning at the time. Though the absolute-power of the Roman paterfamilia (father) was weakened over time, he generally had power of life & death over all in his household, so he could do what is now considered immoral murder (thanks to Judeo-Christian ethics) with impunity. They were, after all, his property.
That is my stance on the matter.00 Reply
+1 yI fully support it.
I believe every born person has the right to control their sexual destinies, and to handle their own healthcare how they see fit and for whatever reason they do so for. It is not my concern if she wants to abort as a form of birth control, or if she cannot afford to keep it. It is their choice. But the moment someone takes away or tries to take away the rights and freedoms of my loved ones, that is when it becomes my problem and I will fight tooth and nail in anyway I can to keep their rights safe or to get them out of harms way.00 Reply
+1 yI am 100% against abortion. How could anyone take the life of a child that hasn't even seen the world yet? Even if you weren't planning for a child it still doesn't make it ok. The only special case is when you will die if you have the baby.
10 Reply590 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I'm for abortion because I believe it's a woman's right to choose. Women get abortions depending on their circumstances (personal, financial, rape, etc.) and it's even necessary for some because of life-threatening situations.

For abortion. Since you can’t play or be a God, then you have no right to tell a female they must have a child.
Maybe in the future men will be give the chance to carry a child for nine months and then given a c section.10 Reply 2.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I am for abortion. I believe women should be able to have access to safe abortions. I also believe that a woman should be able to do what she wants with her body.

What if a woman is pregnant and inside her belly is another girl? What about the baby girls rights?

But I see it as the last possible option in some VERY specific cases.
Much better would be to act responsibly and thoughtful - so that an abortion does not even have to be considered.00 Reply 6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I am 100% for an abortion because if I ever get pregnant I don't want to be dissected to figure out how the fuck that happened. I'd rather abort it straight away.
00 Reply11K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. 100% for it and without restrictions. Bodily autonomy is a basic human right, and that trumps a non existent right to life, especially over a fetus.

A woman who aborts uses her womb as a Hitlerian Gas Chamber exterminating life. And, since Roe v Wade ruling, Abortionist have committed Crimes against Humanity that outpaces Hitler. Putin’s War Crimes pale compared to the lustful self-indulgent MY BODY CHOICE is Primary and premeditated murder of a child is justifiable in my Self-Love and choice.
—It’s worth considering a genetic malformation in the woman who choose freely to kill what Alive in them…
