Most definitely as long as you're taking about equal opportunity, not equal outcome.
Womens are humans too, humans that we mens can't live without them.
No. Equality and freedom cannot walk hand in hand--all are not equal when they are free, and all are not free when made equal.
Yep, but equality means equality ALL the way.
You don't get to have special privileges.
Of course, why wouldn't I?
I hate being seen as a ATM on legs and I am sure women hate being seen as house slaves.
Really depends entirely on what specific policies or concepts you mean when you say "gender equality." My guess is I'd be in favor of some, neutral on some and skeptical on some.
@update: I'm sorry, but where in your poll do you mention anything about "access to rights or opportunities" and how they're effected by gender? And what specific instances are you talking about?
equality! Not female superiority, like whats happening in the US right now
From the outside it looks like the women are losing their power. They have less rights over their bodies than the dead.
A dead person has more to say about their body than a pregnant woman.
It seems like y'all are moving back in time on most topics right now. So women might lose all their rights 😂
Yeah everyone should be treated exactly same regardless of gender (also same rules should apply to both genders)?
I support it fully
Useless question gender equality already exists in the majority of Western countries
Really? Then why is selective service registration only mandatory for men?
Because they think men are better at doing that. however women can register.
Therefore you have the same rights. But we don't have the same duties.
Males and females are of the same value but in family and society they have different roles. And these roles are of same importance.
I support liberty and freedom. These days "gender equality" can mean a lot of things. (Like letting transgender compete in women sports)
I support all equality but not positive discrimination
It's not a simple yes or no question. It very much depends on what you mean.
how is "gender equality" different than "equal under the law"?
the road to tyranny is paved with good intensions
Sorry to be that guy, but...*Intentions. And yes, I understand that there are typos.
@Amarawhaaay who caers
LOL sorry
@Amarawhaaay Im just giving you a hard time, what I should say is, thank you for helping me with my vocabulary for free!
I support equality of opportunity, everyone should be given a fair chance
This is not a valid question until you define exactly what "gender equality" means.
I mean the definition is pretty straight forward. You could just look it up if you don't know the definition, but I'll help you out with it this time.
Gender equality, also known as sexual equality or equality of the sexes, is the state of equal ease of access to resources and opportunities regardless of gender,
@Subarugirl That definition is virtually meaningless because it is very ambiguous and leaves countless details open to interpretation. Because men and women are different, "equality" must be defined in the context of each individual issue.
For example, what does gender equality mean in the domain of reproductive rights?
It would mean and women have the same level of control over their bodily autonomy.
See, that's a very gynocentric view of the issue.
A man's perspective would be that both men and women have equal say in whether they want to become a parent. That sounds more like "equality" to me.
Your definition of equality is meaningless.
So the same level of control over your own bodily autonomy is gynocentric?
Basing reproductive rights solely on something that females have 100% control over and completely ignoring the enormous impact it has on men is obviously gynocentric, and typically feminist.
I rest my case; your definition of equality is meaningless, and your question here is invalid.
Last I checked no one is forcing the use of your organs against your will
Last I checked women have the right to choose to not become a parent but men do not. That is obviously not equality.
Hopefully you are not so dumb as to miss the point here. Just asking is someone supports "equality" is meaningless until you define the parameters.
the state of equal ease of access to resources and opportunities regardless of gender
Oh, I see, now you want to exclude reproductive rights from your definition of gender equality.
Thank you for making my point for me in such a convincing manner.
No that encompasses it. Applying a law to one gender and not the other is not equal rights…
Great, so you agree men should have the right to choose not to be a parent just like women do. Glad to see you're beginning to get it.
Absolutely men should be able to adopt. Same as women. And men have every right to terminate parental rights and obligation if they so chose including financially before the child is born. A report should be made to the state providing proof of pregnancy has been confirmed, in which the state should be responsible for making sure the father is notified. Genetic testing maybe requested by either party to verify paternity. How ever others should not have the power to force a pregnancy which requires her organs to be used, her quality of life, health and life to be put at risk against her will and with out consent.
"And men have every right to terminate parental rights and obligation if they so chose including financially before the child is born."
No, men do not have that right today, but they should. I'm surprised you didn't know that. I'm glad we are in agreement on that, but the law isn't, and the majority of women disagree that men should have that right.
But again, my original point remains. "Equality" is a very ambiguous term, and without discussing the details of every gender issue, you cannot ask the question you did here and expect your poll to be an accurate reflection of how people actually feel about gender equality. Men today are painfully aware of the fact that when most women say "gender equality" they actually mean a very gynocentric definition of the term, which is obviously not equality.
Your poll results are meaningless.
100% yes.
all must agree that it's EQUALITY and that the sword cuts both ways.
I think everyone should have equal rights…..
nah I disagree - Michael Che
Gender equality between male and female yes, always…
I definitely support gender equality except where both have their natural responsibilities.
Change it from gender equality to gender entitlement
Huh? Sorry that was a yes or no question. Yes or no?
No. It will never exist
I mean it does exist. So do you support it or not? Yes or no?
No i don't
So you’d be totally okay with not being able to vote because you’re a man?
Yes i would
And you’d be okay with no men being able to vote because they are men. Or half the population seen as property
Yup i would
Why?
Because it's not important. Id tell other men shut the fuck up and quit complaning
Doesn't anyone with a functional brain support that, at least in the truest sense?
We talk about equality men gets offended but when we talk about actual equality women gets offended.
how would equal opportunity offend anyone?
What do you specifically mean by this?
It’s pretty a straight forward question
I knew you’d respond with something like this…. Welp
I’m going to ask again and one last time to see if I’ll get a more intelligent answer
What do you mean specifically?
Gender equality is defined as the state in which access to rights or opportunities is unaffected by gender.
Is that something you support?
Yes.
That was my original question… next time just ask for the definition. It would be more efficient.
You’d be surprised by how many perspectives people have on the same words — “gender equality”
You’d find yourself in disagreement with a lot of these perspectives or interpretations.
Then you expect me to know what you mean specifically without explaining more underneath the title?
SMH
Well generally people go by the definition of the word…. It’s not like I’m saying blue when I mean red. So why didn’t you just ask for the definition… that would have made your question more clear…
You could’ve written this:
“Gender equality is defined as the state in which access to rights or opportunities is unaffected by gender. “
Underneath
That way, everyone knows what’s up and what you specifically mean.
Especially nowadays with all the political craziness, words/viewpoints have all sorts of meaning now.
I didn’t think it was necessary since anyone on here can quickly google the definition of a word… but I’ll remember that for you next time so that I can simplify it
Yeah, I’m dumb so next time be more considerate over the single digit IQ folks
Thank you
Wow no need to be so dramatic…. Jeez. Next time just ask for a definition
I’m just being funny and playful to lighten up the mood.
This seemed to fly over your head though…
I guess you miss the sarcasm lol
Oh, I did I guess lol….
It’s hard sometimes with letters on screen
lol yeah it really is.
No because I know what you mean isn't equality. Its perversion
Dude... anyone who loves emma, loves gender equality
Women have women rights. Men don't have women rights so there is no equality.
Yes. Every person should hold the same basic rights and opportunity in society.
The problem is most groups who say they do don't practice this.
Yea but genuine equality
I support it as I define it. How do you define it.
as it is defined
As defined gender equality means men and women have equal rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It does not mean men and women are the same or that they have equal abilities or talents.
Yeah basically…
I am a great sopporter of gender equality.
I don't know. Do I? How do I do that?
Again, as we have spoken…
UN Human defines Gender means that all genders are free to pursue whatever career, lifestyle choice, and abilities they want without discrimination. Gender Equality does not necessarily mean that everyone is treated exactly the same. This is nice but:
—in actuality and practically Gender equality is better exacted as the freedom to pursue whatever career, lifestyle choice, and abilities they want INDISCRIMINATELY, therefore, making Self or Woman Right-hood preference greater than Absolute Truth and Collective Global Morality.
The best modern day example of Gender Equality fully manifested in “equality” and Right of women as a whole is the Abortionist issue where realization of Right of body is achieved in opposition to Absolute and Moral global Truths. Life and living identity (genetic code) supersedes one’s personal Right. Gender Equality manifested, in the Woman’s Movement, grants women the Right to conduct premeditated murder without Consequence. War Crimes (knowingly targeting life…killing unnecessarily) and Crimes against Humanity (Holocaust/Jewish Extermination) are wrong. A Right to Murder fully formed genetic code fluids meeting in the Womb at Conception, as defined in Gender Equality of Choice, is sanctioned. Gender Equality is nothing more than a woman aspiring to make Self and her conception Absolute Truths that ring in opposition to Moral tenets such as Do Not Kill and at odds with Nature in Form, Function, and Purpose (LGBT-cloaked in Gender Equality).
This is simply only a few practical applications outworked under the construct known as Gender Equality.
I support gender equity.
Yes, I do support gender equality
I'm still confused on what "equal" means
e·qual
/ˈēkwəl/
adjective
1.
being the same in quantity, size, degree, or value.
Not a real thing...
Equal pay for equal work.
That’s exactly what gender equality is.
@Subarugirl Equal works? Are you Sure... Pic say something ! if you don't sweat in AC Room
@Kichbazp_ obviously not!
Yes I do a woman birth me into this world
I thought there were more than two genders?
No not really because men and woman aren't equal.
That’s now what gender equality means
i support you being the goddess of beauty.
Lol
@Ballsack she's not 16.
She's also married 🤣
What a stupid question
There are no stupid questions and the only way one can become a fool is to stop asking questions.
@HippieVeganJewslim whatever you say, man
Not the way feminist and woke Want it.
I’m talking about the way it’s defined
Actual equality or feminist woke defdinition?
Gender equality… like i said
Agreed these Feminist want the man to worship them.
I won’t worship a female.
But I will take care of and support Myself as I’ve always done. Females are capable of taking care of themselves they just don’t want to. They wanna be Sloths 🦥 they wanna lay in there bed ordering the man around. And if the man decides to exercise his free will and get his own 2 boxes of pizza the Girl wants some. Like the fuck
I bought the damn pizzas 🍕 go get your own pizza or pay me for each slice and you can eat.
Females Have the ability to work and make money.
We as men exist to procreate and nothing else.
Same goes for females
There existence is to procreate so if I fuck a girl and Get her pregnant and tell her to get the fuck out of my house. I would of fulfilled my purpose of procreation.
@EarthRealm actually no not really. Only a small minority of extremists want that
I tend to agree with @earthrealm. The feminist movement is not about equality. Because in what area are women not equal to men?
I’m not talking about feminism I’m taking about gender equality
Where are women not equal?
Human Rights Watch has documented the use of virginity tests by security forces in Egypt, India and Afghanistan and criticized calls for virginity tests for Indonesian school girls.
Male circumcision of male infants are widely excepted, while female circumcision is considered a violation of human rights.
In India and China, the two most populous nations in the world, there is significant data that shows a survival disadvantage for girls under five years of age. In China, girls have a seven percent higher infant mortality rate than boys, and in India, a study conducted in the first decade of the 2000s found that the risk of death between the ages of one and five was 75 percent higher for girls than for boys.
There are approximately 774 million illiterate adults in the world and two-thirds of them are women. There are approximately 123 million illiterate youths and 61 percent of them are girls
Yes I support equality because we're people
Yes. It's the right thing to do and it's just.
Gender equality is right
Completely 1 million %
Absolutely!
Equality, not privilege ;)
Yes, I do.
Equity yes.
Only if its truly equal
Of course but it's only a dream
It depends what you mean by equality
I prefer equity
Yeah byt it doesn't exist.
Of course I do
Yes.
Yes!
WE ARE EQUAL
And apparently 30% of the men who commented on this post don’t think we should be
Ahhh. Stupids.. take it easy girll
@Subarugirl
And 12% of the women as well.
Something that I find, interesting.
@Losalt I am actually not as surprised by that
@Subarugirl
No?
@Losalt nope
@Subarugirl
Okey, but I was kind of inviting you to expand on that with that question. ;-)
As in "No, how so?" Or "No, why do you say that?" Etc.
@Losalt then you could have just asked. Just look at the demographic of people on here… i
Are you thinking that the age of people on here is the cause?
@Losalt I think it is certainly a contributing factor
@Subarugirl
How so?
I have my own thoughts about this, but I'd like your input without contamination from mine.
