Most definitely as long as you're taking about equal opportunity, not equal outcome.

No. Equality and freedom cannot walk hand in hand--all are not equal when they are free, and all are not free when made equal.

Really depends entirely on what specific policies or concepts you mean when you say "gender equality." My guess is I'd be in favor of some, neutral on some and skeptical on some.

From the outside it looks like the women are losing their power. They have less rights over their bodies than the dead.
A dead person has more to say about their body than a pregnant woman.
It seems like y'all are moving back in time on most topics right now. So women might lose all their rights 😂

I mean the definition is pretty straight forward. You could just look it up if you don't know the definition, but I'll help you out with it this time.

Gender equality, also known as sexual equality or equality of the sexes, is the state of equal ease of access to resources and opportunities regardless of gender,

      +1 y

@Subarugirl That definition is virtually meaningless because it is very ambiguous and leaves countless details open to interpretation. Because men and women are different, "equality" must be defined in the context of each individual issue.

For example, what does gender equality mean in the domain of reproductive rights?

      Reply

It would mean and women have the same level of control over their bodily autonomy.

See, that's a very gynocentric view of the issue.

A man's perspective would be that both men and women have equal say in whether they want to become a parent. That sounds more like "equality" to me.

Your definition of equality is meaningless.

Basing reproductive rights solely on something that females have 100% control over and completely ignoring the enormous impact it has on men is obviously gynocentric, and typically feminist.

I rest my case; your definition of equality is meaningless, and your question here is invalid.

Absolutely men should be able to adopt. Same as women. And men have every right to terminate parental rights and obligation if they so chose including financially before the child is born. A report should be made to the state providing proof of pregnancy has been confirmed, in which the state should be responsible for making sure the father is notified. Genetic testing maybe requested by either party to verify paternity. How ever others should not have the power to force a pregnancy which requires her organs to be used, her quality of life, health and life to be put at risk against her will and with out consent.

"And men have every right to terminate parental rights and obligation if they so chose including financially before the child is born."

No, men do not have that right today, but they should. I'm surprised you didn't know that. I'm glad we are in agreement on that, but the law isn't, and the majority of women disagree that men should have that right.

But again, my original point remains. "Equality" is a very ambiguous term, and without discussing the details of every gender issue, you cannot ask the question you did here and expect your poll to be an accurate reflection of how people actually feel about gender equality. Men today are painfully aware of the fact that when most women say "gender equality" they actually mean a very gynocentric definition of the term, which is obviously not equality.

      Your poll results are meaningless.

UN Human defines Gender means that all genders are free to pursue whatever career, lifestyle choice, and abilities they want without discrimination. Gender Equality does not necessarily mean that everyone is treated exactly the same. This is nice but:
—in actuality and practically Gender equality is better exacted as the freedom to pursue whatever career, lifestyle choice, and abilities they want INDISCRIMINATELY, therefore, making Self or Woman Right-hood preference greater than Absolute Truth and Collective Global Morality.
The best modern day example of Gender Equality fully manifested in “equality” and Right of women as a whole is the Abortionist issue where realization of Right of body is achieved in opposition to Absolute and Moral global Truths. Life and living identity (genetic code) supersedes one’s personal Right. Gender Equality manifested, in the Woman’s Movement, grants women the Right to conduct premeditated murder without Consequence. War Crimes (knowingly targeting life…killing unnecessarily) and Crimes against Humanity (Holocaust/Jewish Extermination) are wrong. A Right to Murder fully formed genetic code fluids meeting in the Womb at Conception, as defined in Gender Equality of Choice, is sanctioned. Gender Equality is nothing more than a woman aspiring to make Self and her conception Absolute Truths that ring in opposition to Moral tenets such as Do Not Kill and at odds with Nature in Form, Function, and Purpose (LGBT-cloaked in Gender Equality).
This is simply only a few practical applications outworked under the construct known as Gender Equality.

Agreed these Feminist want the man to worship them.
      I won’t worship a female.
But I will take care of and support Myself as I’ve always done. Females are capable of taking care of themselves they just don’t want to. They wanna be Sloths 🦥 they wanna lay in there bed ordering the man around. And if the man decides to exercise his free will and get his own 2 boxes of pizza the Girl wants some. Like the fuck
I bought the damn pizzas 🍕 go get your own pizza or pay me for each slice and you can eat.
Females Have the ability to work and make money.
We as men exist to procreate and nothing else.
      Same goes for females
There existence is to procreate so if I fuck a girl and Get her pregnant and tell her to get the fuck out of my house. I would of fulfilled my purpose of procreation.

Human Rights Watch has documented the use of virginity tests by security forces in Egypt, India and Afghanistan and criticized calls for virginity tests for Indonesian school girls.
Male circumcision of male infants are widely excepted, while female circumcision is considered a violation of human rights.
In India and China, the two most populous nations in the world, there is significant data that shows a survival disadvantage for girls under five years of age. In China, girls have a seven percent higher infant mortality rate than boys, and in India, a study conducted in the first decade of the 2000s found that the risk of death between the ages of one and five was 75 percent higher for girls than for boys.
There are approximately 774 million illiterate adults in the world and two-thirds of them are women. There are approximately 123 million illiterate youths and 61 percent of them are girls
