If someone you know who uses drugs and they say something mean or offensive to you, would you take it personal?

I would understand that it was a statement made under the influence of illegal substances, but I would not disregard the statement. Regardless of the reason or "excuse," if this is how the person acts, I don't need them within my sphere.

I dont get how these things correlate really, but the one person I know who does a bunch of drugs I dont have much respect for. So I would probably take it less personally

No. Drug addicts will say and do anything as it affects their brain chemistry and hormones. I dont hang around them.
