Good or evil are subjective concepts, as History tells there’s no absolute good and no absolute evil, and the perception of these concepts depends on the context they’re applicate in. As other answerers said, most freedom killing and evil regimes were seen as good at the time (and after too) because things they did were perceived as good and right.
Obviously we judge with our mentality, that is different from them but sometimes we are judging a bit too easily historic facts.
Everyone can say Nazis and Japanese were absolute evil for what they did to Jews and Chineses, but this gave the right, for example, to Allies to bomb Japan with the atomic bomb exterminating 200k innocent persons? The bombs didn’t kill the Emperor or Tojo or the military clique that were responsible for crimes and war but destroyed two cities with civilians that were victims of their government. Why so Allies are put on the Good side of history and Japan on the Bad one? Isn’t civilian extermination a Evil thing?

There are thousands of examples that can be done, human history is always swinging between evil and good, depending on who reads the historical facts.

In order to truly fight for good, you have to be in favor of both for the right ways. For freedom, you don't want the government spying on you or arresting you for putting things in your body when you're not hurting anyone else. For control, you should ensure that people don't get discriminated for thir skin color or sexuality, and should make sure that businesses treat their workers and consumers fairly.

Well good is subjective and as said "History is Written by Victors."
And everyone are good in there own eyes

So can we really ask this? or will we maybe need to set what objective prespetive we taking to define good first :)

Historically, everyone. No side has ever said they are fighting for evil. Those who claim they fight for freedom are really fighting to be the new controllers.

Good is subjective. Personally I can't say because every representative, politician, person of power spoke words that the masses believed to be "good". A majority of German people in 1933 believed that Hitler was doing a good thing.

Typically freedom fighters when it is focused on greater good and not just Self. Like the Abortionist are Self focused freedom fighters fro Right to Kill, at Will.

Who is fighting for good? Do you mean what people or nation? The only fight for good is self defense. Most the time people fight over small things, money / power coming up a lot

Most wars (fighting) in history was because someone in power said so. Where usually each ''side'' believes (or is made believe) to murder 'the others' for the right reasons.
