Women are extremely picky and selective about who they date. They are even picky about who they have pick for a fuck buddy. Most women (not all, obviously) will only sleep with men who they can see themselves dating. That's often why women will start developing real feelings. We don't see that as often with men because men will sleep with any woman who says yes, if they are horny enough.

A woman who wants children (again, not all) will not be with a man who she doesn't want to have a child with.

Fear of not being ready to be a parent yet, wanting to travel and see the world before having a kid, NOT wanting kids at all, fear of giving birth, etc; makes much more sense as to why they want to get an abortion.
