Would I be fair that if abortion was to be ok without reason, then it should be a choice of man whether or not to be legally responsible for a child that is born? If a she decides she made a mistake and didn't like the outcome apparently its seen as ok to reverse, opt-out of the consequences. But for a Man, everyone views it as he needs to be responsible for his action and what he created... Otherwise as it were before, its grants control over another person removing any say in the matter.

Voted "NO" as the rights and needs of the child are paramount. Adding to this then that the woman is obliged to carry the life she made - absent a threat to her life - and the man is similarly obliged to care for the little life that he helped to make. Both bearing the consequences of their actions and giving protection to the child who is here not by choice and who needs the care and consideration of the adults who made that baby.
First, the fetus is human. It cannot be anything other than human. It will not grow up, unless it is terminated by artificial means or natural accident, to be a cow or a chair. A thing can only ever be whatever it is at whatever moment in time its' development. Its' underlying reality and nature remain constant - and because human it is then entitled to the moral consideration and rights that inhere in all human beings.
Indeed, appropriate to the current cultural tumults, the arguments justifying slavery in the pre-Civil War era were either demonstrably false - Africans were not human but were a sub-species - or logically problematic - rights inhere in humans in varying degrees and are not universal and constant.
This then the problem with the argument that fetus do not have rights. Either the fetus is not human - which then begs the question of at what point it becomes human. Moreover, what are the moral and scientific differences in the fetus one second before it becomes human and one second after that moment.
Alternatively, if rights only inhere in the human person at a certain point in time, then who decides the moral criteria for what that point is and what factors determine it? This leading then to an ethic of power as rights will be granted by those who have the power to grant them and it thereby inherently becomes a subjective standard.
Thus effectively rendering the idea of rights null and void. Rights are what the powerful say they are and are granted when the powerful, that is those with the power to make that decision for others including the fetus him or her self, decide they will be conferred.
This then being the flaw in the question posted here. It is not about rights, but rather duty and obligations.
The British statesman and political philosopher Edmund Burke wrote, "The effect of liberty to individuals is that they may do as they please. We ought see what it will please them to do before we risk congratulations." Therein lay the problem with laws that permit abortion on demand.
A society that premises its law as "Choice"- to use the locution of abortion rights advocates - effectively leaves open the question of the value of human life. It becomes not a standing principle, but a subjective judgment to each individual. In such a society, human life becomes not an end in itself, but mere instrument. Life becomes not an object whose preservation is the highest standard, but rather a convenience to be maintained or not according to the satisfaction of another's will.
Bottom line, the society has placed its' emphasis on freedom - an argument about the rights of the woman or the man - and has defined it as an end in itself rather than a means to an end. Thus anything defined as freedom is not logically limited and life becomes, itself, a means to an end and not inherently worthy of "moral consideration" in its' own right. Suffice to say, bad things tend to follow from such reasoning.
Abortion came up in Philosophy class many years ago and I made a quick observation. Those on one side of the argument tend to be religious and those on the other make it all about women's rights. Few people were like me and didn't give a shit. I guess I'm pro-abortion because crime statistics went down after the number of unwanted kids went down. Watch "Freakonomics" documentary to get where I get that info if you don't know that.
So as a complete outsider that thinks it's probably best that you murder those babies, this is what I think the issue really is. For 50 years the Right conceded to allow the "safe legal and rare" argument... a compromise so to speak. So the left started pushing for taxpayers to pay for the abortions and they started pushing for abortion at any time... even after birth. After a few months of that getting pushed SCOTUS kicked it down to being the state's problem again instead of it being federally enforced to be allowed up to the 3rd trimester.
In my humble opinion, if the progressive left didn't just keep pushing for more and more, it would've been a non-issue. I mean they really started to fuck up by wanting money for it from the government... the same government that didn't bother to codify it under Obama or Biden for their financial reasons. Planned Parenthood doesn't care where they get the money from, but they want their money. Obviously, the money is more guaranteed if it comes from Government funding than from the women that pays an increasing price the further along the pregnancy is... so you can follow the logic on that one.

Personally, I think men should get the choice to opt out, as long as it is early enough in the pregnancy that the woman would still be able to easily get an abortion if she chooses, without medical cause, after knowing his decision. (I think the amount of time given to make the decision would also have to vary based on when the dude found out. Because ideally, the woman would be able to get it just with pills, but if the dude found out pretty late, he should have more than a few days to decide).
The man should also be aware though, that opting out of responsibility also means opting out of any right he has to see the child. Meaning that the mother would not need his permission to move far away with the child, and he would need her permission if he ever decided to come back into their lives.
Some mothers decide to offer this option to the father of their child, if the pregnancy occurs as a surprise. One of my cousins married a single mother who offered this option to the father of her daughter. It was done via a series of contracts. The dude has never met his daughter, but he's also never paid child support. Now my cousin has adopted his wife's daughter, his wife is encouraging him to spend more time with his child, and they have a child together.
I also think that if a man chooses to be a part of the kid's life by the way, that he should be responsible for half the costs of prenatal doctor's appointments, and half the cost of giving birth, whether that be vaginally or via. C-section. And if a man chooses to opt out, he should have to pay half of whatever an abortion would cost at that stage. (Even if the mother chooses not to spend it on an abortion, and keeps the kid, without him in their lives). If the woman opts out though, I wouldn't make the man pay for an abortion that he doesn't want to happen.
I mean for some of those things listed there is a reversal card but reserved for those who have money. Or who are upstanding citizens that contribute to the community. That’s mostly for the commit a crime one though but that does happen. Or if you’re a kid and you commit a crime it gets expunged when you turn 18.
Now I am personally of the belief that the only ones involved in the decision to abort are the two that made it. I’m also someone who believes that if she wants to keep it and he doesn’t he SHOULD be able to walk away, provided he ceases all contact with her and produced offspring. If he wants to keep it and she doesn’t that’s a discussion for the two of them. But at the end of the day she’s the one who has to carry it, she’s the one who’s body is going to change, and she’s the one that has to birth it. If she consents to carrying and birthing and then giving him the baby then great but if not she should be free to abort; and that’s where things get tricky because it’s not entirely fair for anyone involved.
She also consented to sex, knew the possible outcome, there fore do (as its common thought) what every man is supposed take responsibility for what he created... Consenting to sex isn’t consenting to pregnancy though. By that logic a man messing with contraceptives to deliberately get her pregnant is consenting to pregnancy. But it is a responsibility, and one way to be responsible is by terminating a pregnancy. I’m not saying wealthy people don’t make bad financial decisions. I’m saying with the way the justice system works money talks, judges and officers take bribes. You also forgot to consider the quality of life for the child do to rape situations. A resenting mother for a child to be subjected to its upbringing, love and care can result in death as well, often it being a cruel or torturous. The quality of life due to medical reasons is also something to consider, I think is safe to say most people would want their offspring not to experience life in an immobile state, they should not have to rely on someone feeding and cleansing them for their entire life. Its a tough pill to swallow and decision to make, but would you wAnt to stay alive if all you could do was be fed through a tube and have other people cleAn your excretions?

There is nothing fair about the abortion issue as it is currently defined. The baby however is an innocent 3rd party.
People don't have the right to dehumanize that baby just because its existence which their own choices brought about is inconvenient to either of them.
The best and most constitutional middle ground is simply to leave the issue where it is now at the States to be decided in the same place all other forms of murder and medical procedures are decided.
People can then vote with their ballots and their feet where to draw the line.

I would say abortion is more in line with medical issues and less comparable to poor work performance or bad financial decisions.
Lots of people stress out other people, we don't generally allow individuals to kill said stressful people for their health reasons.
Regardless of whether or not you dehumanize the infant to reduce their killing to simply a "health issue" for the mother rather than the murder of a small innocent helpless person.
Both areas of medical and murder have always been the domain of States to draw the line in.

They are not 100% reliable. So sooner or later a pregnancy can occur even if she's super careful.
Vasectomies sometimes feel too - the tubes rejoin - noone is to know until it's too late. And doctors do not like healthy young men getting vasectomies anyway.
So since both sexes are programmed to procreate, even just for leisure, there are going to be pregnancies.
So then - babies. She can't it won't abort and babies cost money. Either you pay or the state pays. The state doesn't like paying.

No, you should still be financially responsible for the child you created. Child support isn't about you or the mother, it's about the child. It's different after the child has been born. Use condoms and If you don't want kids, at all, get a vasectomy. It's barbaric to force a woman to go through an unwanted pregnancy, it isn't barbaric for you to be responsible for the life you created. Men can and never will be able to get pregnant. Don't get mad at women just because their bodies work differently.

I think that would be fair if the woman wanted to baby and keep it but the man didn't. I guess I don't know what the laws are but I think some states allow men to relinquish their parental rights. I think they should be allowed to do that.
Those I dont argue against when its putting the womens life at risk or when a crime had been committed, my issue is when its means to not being responsible for actions done.
This is not a new issue, Everyone nowadays thinks of a woman carrying a fertilized egg not a living being. They decide when they don't want the baby but actually the percentage of women who regrets abortion at middle-age is high.
@rania05 "Everyone" is a loose statement to that belief, if so there wouldn't be an uproar between Pro and No. Nothing can help the way a women feels about it except her.
here's an easy solution to the fertilized eggs living status. Sperm is lives and dies correct. Sperm hibernates the egg (which by the way is also living) and begins metamorphosis. Everything is still in a living state. It doesn't need to reach any process to become living because it was never not living. They need water, nutrition and oxygen to continue living and grow, just like us.
I said 'everyone' because recently everyone seems okay with abortion, and that's honestly driving me crazy.
I can't figure out, for the sake of a complet family to the child wives don't divorce even if they lost their passion to their husbands but some has the guts to claim it's for the good of the child to not come to the world?
Tsk! I just want to them admit that they don't want the burden (baby) instead of being nice in their statements, being afraid or other reasons are more acceptable than claiming ti be a loving mother by aborting one's child.
