Why should 4 counties control what an Entire state does?

My state has 39 counties 4 of them control the rest of the state. Pierce County King County Snohomish County and Walla Walla County the other 35 counties vote Republican only for vote Democrat but somehow were forced to be ruled by the Democrats in the state makes no sense. Jenn of the majority of the counties roll the state not 4 of them

It wouldn't be fair if 4million republican ruled over 40 million democrats or in reverse.

Just because more counties with far less people have a party affilition doesn't mean they should rule.

If 80% of people vote 1 way, why would the 20% win?

I am a federalist local power is better then state or federal power. I will say as a result of democrats policies in my state I don’t think it’s a safe place to raise kids or start a family which is a majorly important thing in life

Kind of like a lot of states. I lived in Michigan for a little bit and if you run up numbers in Detroit and the surrounding counties it doesn't matter if you win by 80% in all other counties besides possibly Kent which is where Grant Rapids is.

I am not sure if your representative is Republican or Democrat, but Republicans are trying to out the incumbent Republicans with better candidates. Something to keep an eye on.

Make sense there’s been an argument for years here that we just split eastern Washington and Oregon down the cascade mountain range and join the east sides and west sides as the individual states Only thing Democrats and Republicans agree on in the state is that (and Oragon). That Mount Rainier and Crater lake are beautiful and both of them want them in their state

Here in Ohio, we have some Democrat strongholds (Cleveland, Columbus, Youngstown (Canton/Akron, and Toledo), but the rest of the state is very deep red.

Yea seattle Tacoma Puyallup are navy blue the rest of the state is blood red but we’re controlled by those 3 cities (I forgot Bellevue so 4 cites)

Counties don't vote, people vote. And if you look at the vote by population, instead of trying to misrepresent everything, you'll see counties don't matter because the majority of people in Washington state vote Democrat.

In 2020 for example, Biden got 2,369,612 votes, and Trump got 1,584,651 votes.

Good point this is why we should dismantle the federal government and possibly state governments and just go to county and city governments. I know as I’m getting tired of Seattle’s opinion one most of the state disagrees. ( of course were talking King County in general even if Pierce in Snohomish county is went to red King County would still dominate. Cars were talking King County in general even if Pierce in Snohomish county is west to read King County would still dominate ) Snohomish county and Pierce County are purple I know cause I used to live in Pierce County. Just saying it seems unfair that one county gets to be dictator over the entire population. You could make that case for the federal government as well.
