I don’t know it exactly as you wrote it, but i think it’s the same as “Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time.”. I believe that 100%. There are a lot of people making a big deal about Brittney Griner being put in prison in Russia for breaking RUSSIAN LAW. She’s not a political prisoner. She wasn’t framed. She went to Russia with contraband and probably expected to get away with it. She didn’t and now the snowflakes are all up in arms. She has nobody to blame but herself.
It should read „Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time.“ This applies to dramatically crying and rueful defendants in the courtroom who just received 25 to life. 🙄

Never heard that one, I've only heard "don't do the crime, if you can't do the time." Meaning don't commit a crime if you can't handle doing the time in jail if you get busted.
It's supposed to be "if you can't do the time, don't do the crime" or "don't do the crime of you don't want the time" or other variations
I think the phrase is "don't do the crime if you can't do the time", and it's been around for a long time.
I do crime and definitely do the time for it for what I've been caught with so far so I don't know lol
I thought it went "if you don't have the time, don't do the crime". It applies to most cases but there are way too many cases where you could end up in court for no malicious action.
If You Can't Do Time, Don't Do The Crime
