Why do trump supporters act like having 70 million voters is the majority when there are 230 million adults that could vote against them?

These are the children that say "oh you should not insult 70 million people who support trump" yet they love to go and insult democrats and call them fascist but can't handle it when the table are turned.

There are only 253,768,092 adults in theses united States.

Only about half of them think enough about political matters to care to vote.

To assume that they would all support either side is arrogant, we can only go by the opinion of those that do vote, and assume the support of the remainder would be likewise reflected if they cared as much.

That said as a matter of basic reasoning apathy towards politics is more inline with conservative small goverment believes, so you might expect the non-voting public to lead towards conservatives if they were to put as much effort or thought into the matter if anything at all.

Because they don’t travel, and everyone around them thinks like they do. They are in the majority in their community and assume it’s the same everywhere. Then they see a map of the US that shows that most counties went for Trump. Basically they can’t get it through their head that land doesn’t vote, people vote. There are more people in Los Angeles county than in several rural states combined. Across the US cities are blue, rural areas are red.
