If they block someone's access to their own property due to their opinions, then the bank shouldn't be surprised if some of those people exercise their second amendment rights against them for violating that person's 1st amendment rights.
If they want to be able to censor people they have to forfeit their status a common carriers.
@Juxtapose 'a person or a commercial enterprise that transports passengers or goods for a fee and establishes that their service is open to the general public' Am I missing something, what does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

I voted "yes" , opposite to my beliefs , only to explore the "useful fools" and their control freak dictators- the dangerous psychos who actually support Big Tech main stream news media. THESE are existential threats to MY Constitutional RIGHTS as a free man. The Left are not "liberals" , they are authoritarian king sh*ts pretending to be "compassionate Liberals" to fool real Liberals in rigged elections.
yes, you can vote Socialism IN, but as Venezuelans discovered, you'll have to shoot your way out.
No, since telecommunication companies usually have a "lock" in rural areas that prevent other companies from building cables or "operating" in certain areas.
I've seen it happen with companies like "wild blue" and other sat internet companies back in the day when Comcast was trying to build in certain rural areas.
Internet and banking have become borderline NEEDED to operate in this day and age. You might as well cancel somebody's water, gas, and electric company contract while you are at it.
It is not the bank's job to regulate the speech of it's clients, that is the local police's job if that person is breaking an actual law (It isn't even the bank's job to regulate income, as that is the IRS's role).
It also isn't a telecommunication company's job to regulate speech by it's clients, that is website owners and other internet based authorities.
No.
I'm tired of all this bullshit censoring.
If you don't like someone's opinion fine, but you can't take away their right to have it.
Unless I'm mistaken, I believe this affected Andrew Tate, because I did hear about him and some banking issues or something like that in recent times.
Yes. It's called a ToS, and basically means that while you're free to be an asshole in your mind, but not on their platform.
Regardless of what country you are from, they have the right to kick you off or delete your content if you piss them off and break ToS.
You actually agreed to this when you signed up to any site.
No idea why you think "free speech" is a universal right. It just means you cannot be tortured and killed in your own country. But nothing stopping your country renditioning you out to another to have it done instead!
No, that would be censoring of Free Speech (1st amendment) see the we page below,

That's to globalist's goal. It's where we're heading - total monitoring and a Chinese-style social credit system and ruthless control.
I think if corporations want corporate rights and freedoms then they need to respect individuals rights and freedoms. We live in a business environment now where a tiny minority of business interests own the entire world, so saying just go bank or talk or get your news elsewhere is not realistic anymore.
We cannot remotely take anyone too seriously when you take something that uses electronic ink and use it for browsing the interzones (or is it simply a book)? Now if you used Lynx, which is an open source text based browser, then you took pictures of it? You'd get a little more cred. But there are indeed much better ways. You can always capture that screen, do screen shots. C'mon man!

Jesus Fucking H Christ. 18 + 2 so far, Girls and Guys, none say it's right, you can't 20 answers not have any Libtards answering what so ever. This is something the almighty Campus Reform channel of YouTube should do. Libtards, based on the questionnaire survey results say it's not okay to have these companies shut you down, but what about Trump on Twitter? We can't have Trump on Twitter, who is the most popular President going back to Lincoln.
That was the first time I ever apologized for anything on GAG. And that's saying something. At the same time? I don't own a smart phone. I do the text messages via flip phone. Or email. It's not laziness. It's a matter of I still do 6 Cd's in my car's cd changer. I do love the old school. And I should applaud you for taking a picture. And then posting it. That's the epitome of old school and doing it to it.
You may ask why anyone in this day and age would have a flip phone. I do it, only because I still have a Grandfathered in Pay As You Go Plan. I don't answer phones in general, even though I still have a LAND LINE. I seriously get away with $20 on my flip phone per year. Why do I not answer phones? My first jobs of doing tech support for Micron and Delta airlines employees in an inbound call center gave me Phone PTSD.
I do not think such a decision should be left in the hands of one company alone. Since such a decision may have a profound impact on an individuals rights and freedoms any attempt to shutdown an individuals account should be subject to approval by an industry-governing body or tribunal. If said body approves such an account termination, then any further appeal and final decision would have to be heard in a court of law.
Morally they can't, legally they shouldn't but in all practicality and technically they can and they will.
So you can't trust them store your own wealth and develop your communications systems that are free.
No. Only if they said upfront in advertising that exactly what their politics are & that they hate people who disagree. But they won't do that.
No it's an abuse of power. Justin Trudeau's regime in Canada does this. In America the Biden Regime uses the IRS and FBI.
Absolutely not. But the Democrats are illegally imposing it at the behest of the Biden Administration.
It's disgusting How Quickly free speach is dying. The left is bombarding us with Propaganda while any resistance is met with censorship and even Death.
Social platforms should have the right to remove your account you don't follow their TOS. If you break the rules they kick you out. Just like if you break the rules in a business, they kick you out. As long as the rules are applied evenly there's no problem.
No, and I will do anything I can to avoid such a thing from happening.
Yeah, this is amongst the most obscene abuses of power I have ever seen.
If you speak to people in the bank in a horrid manner and treat them like garbage then yes, if you’re at a dr and treat them appallingly then they have a right to cross you off their register.
You need to be more specific then you said “don’t like your speech” could mean anything. And if you treat people like crap then yes you deserve to lose your accounts. If you’d stated political speech then that would have been a different story.
That’s your opinion I have mine, I think if you bully people then yes you deserve to lose your accounts, if I went and bullied a bank employee I’d expect to be kicked out, no one should have to tolerate abuse of any kind,
You mentioned political views, so if you go into a bank or anywhere else and bash gay people then that’s abuse and you deserve to lose your accounts if you’re racist also you deserve to lose your accounts, if however they say oh I support Biden or Johnson and you say oh I don’t they’re both useless and making life worse for people or I don’t believe in the covid injection then no as that’s your opinion, opinions don’t mean you should be banned or lose accounts but abuse yes you should lose your accounts.
Like I said if you bully the staff anywhere or you bully people on any social media then you deserve to lose your accounts. There’s no need for abuse, you can have a difference of opinion as people do but you don’t have to bully others to get a point across, you also don’t have to abuse staff anywhere just because you can’t get your own way either, being polite costs nothing,
@thevigilantone Wait a minute here. All Leftist dbags lie and sabotage, Big Tech does it, 99 percent of Media does it. Everyone does it. You bully us Conservatives left and right. If we don't agree with you, you strike us, you ban us, you block us, you cancel us. Why would I ever enter a bank and bitch out any employees there? @Juxtapose I really don't know the point of this question. Am I mental? Likely.
Obviously not, that's disturbing and Orwellian. Also it happened to thousands of protesters here in Canada not long ago.
Nope that bank should be boycotted and nobody should use infact it should be shut down and if anyone is smart they would pull all their resources from. it niw
In theory, yes, I do think they should be allowed to do that. I think it's a supremely shitty thing for them to do and that it ultimately hurts them more than it helps, but I do think they should be allowed to do it.
It's okay for Twitter to do it? I kind of get you now. I'm starting to dig it. So, we all know we live in a Capitalist society right? We all know we are the best Country in the World simply because we have the truest form of freedom here. So, yes, they can shut you down. Case in point, Twitter fucked Donald. But Truth Social and so many other platforms come about. There is one thing we know that is fact for sure, The Potato Head and Heels Up cannot win again, they are burnt up. But we know how legitimate that election was? So, what I'm saying. I can't be a hypocrite because in this situation, cancelling people isn't slander or libel.
Its not just morally wrong, its very illegal for public unities to do any such thing.
Generally, yes. There are a few specific exceptions, but most relationships and agreements are basically “at will”.
Bank... No, your speech on a bank site doesn't become public, with thousands viewing it
Telecommunication company... Yes, if your speech violates their policies, because your speech on their site can be seen by thousands.
Telecommunications companies, no.
Social media companies, maybe.
It’s coming if the leftists have their way.
No and that's why I keep nothing with them
No..
If it’s a private company, yes.
No unless they have a criminal record
Better not get a speeding ticket.
Pfizer has one of the longest corporate criminal records on earth.
No, but it's a straw man argument anyway.
DEPENDS.
Oops I shit my pants too! (SNL) Let's start up a gofund me, we need not route to givesendgo. Let's get Biden all the adult diapers he needs! That is how we Conservatives are. Shirts of our backs. We would just love it if Biden would go to his posh estates and simply live out his Swiss cheese addled brain days where he can suck on popsicles and ice cream. We just need to keep the kids away!!
