What's the largest single amount of money you've ever had to spend?

Aside from one other thing I won't mention here on GAG, the highest amount of money I've spent personally from my own pay was $3,500 on Bariatric Sleeve surgery back in August 2022.

And the highest I spent overall was $43,000 following a lawsuit with my old university to pay off student loans to the new one. It was $43,000 from the settlement, given to me, and I had to spend all of that to the new school I was in. Losing so much money on something as dumb as university tuition, sucked.

Five years ago I bought a house & during the mortgage process I wrote a down payment check to my mortgage company for 75 thousand.

My brother I’m not rich however if I want something in life I save for it & a long time ago I opened up a savings account strictly for a buying a house & I saved & saved & five years ago I found a house & closed the account & wrote a check.

A bit over 6k for a car, is the most I spend in one purchase but I make big purchases, I spend almost 1k on a glock (attachments included) during the pandemic I also recently just bought a msi gaming pc and spend almost another thousand on that

Yea you must have gotten the same as me, mine was also a glock 19, I'm assuming you got the gen 5 as well, I paid around 170 something with tax and I also bought an oem glock 29 round extended magazine which was like an additional 50 to 80 Dollars but it was all worth it no lie

I was going to spend 15k-20k on my 30th next year, but doesn't look like it's going to happen 😅

The theme is mostly birthdays though. I usually spend a bit when I'm traveling.
