How do we live with each other if violence, exile, and jail are completely off the table?

A lot of right wing trolling seems centered around dismissing anyone who isn't right wing. And a lot of this manifests as the deep desire to just escape the people the right disagrees with by either sending them away or locking them up so they don't have to hear them or hitting them until they stop talking. But as long as such fantasies of political violence continue to be cultivated, alternatives are not.

So that raises the question: what are the alternatives? How can the right get along with the left if they know none of these are options in real life? Is it something they are even capable of considering or have they gone too far down the rabbit hole of their hate addiction? I suspect some are too far gone but quite a few are likely capable of returning to sense. I haven't a clue how to coax them from that ledge in a way their disinformation wouldn't just tell them is condescending or patronizing, though..

Sorry to say, the few conservatives who posted opinions to this question adhere like glue to your premise. They exerted no energy trying to answer the question or find common ground, opting to dismiss and mock you and anyone who isn't conservative.

It's clear that they love being on the ledge and any attempt to save them is futile. They feed on the antagonism. It's their drug; it makes them feel good.

I find it pathetic how they cling to the thinest of controversies and refuse to let them die. Until conservatives learn to think critically, interacting with them will never be more productive than teaching a toddler quantum physics. They don't have the capacity to understand.

Hypothetically, if you were to separate bit the democrats and republicans into their own groups so neither have to interact (read: fight) with each other, then given enough time, they would end up fighting with themselves...

Probably, yeah. It is true the will to fight generally has little to do with ideology so much as just being human. But I suspect the democrats who strive to at least maintain the appearance of impartiality and reason would approach violence much slower and are the top candidates to sorting it out before it comes to blows. It is the right that takes actual pride in their attempts, on purpose, to "trigger" people and would undoubtedly succeed among themselves.

Anyway, my question is more to do with whether or not the right is being told to prepare for any alternatives to political violence. Because I've seen no signs of it, if so.
