Is inflation high only in Western countries or is it a global trend?

I keep hearing about inflation on the news, but they only mention European countries and the United States. And of course, I've noticed that everything is more expensive now. So, I wonder if this is happening all over the world or if it's just in Western nations.

Users who live outside of Europe and outside of the US can answer too. I would like to hear from both sides.

I didn't know that. Not sure if this makes any difference but I don't live in the US.

The same corporations are pulling the same con here in Germany, but some of the supermarkets are pushing back and not paying their over-inflated prices, even if it means some empty shelves (there's still plenty there, just not so many named brands). (They're not totally disinterested, they get to sell more home brand products.)

That wouldn't make sense if it was just west. Global economy is effected by all sides of the Glob therefore if half the world is inflated so is the other lol.
Plus inflation is not problem that just appears it's is just a normal thing designed into how economy's work so over the course of all history with humans understanding basic economy it's always existed and always seemed as a issue to someone.

So to answer the question it's not a trend it's just a normal thing that always happens 24/7 a trend would imply it's only becoming more common or something but if you think there wasn't inflation just as common all through history.. then more studying I would advise.

You said trend which to those words I responded correctly. Often people complain about inflation now like it's a new thing or if you will a trend that's only started now or recent years.
If you know it existed before then the word trend gives off the wrong impression on your part because it makes you sound like such people I mentioned.

But if you knew about such things then I don't get the point in the question since then obviously it would be a global thing if you know it's not a new thing and exists everywhere.

Because you live there? And the media tends to stay relevant to it's own issues. Along with USA just been the mass producer of media in the first place.
If you went to live in japan you will right away within mere weeks notice inflation there too and you will see their news talk about it.

Ah I understand now. That's just how media is thanks to influences of like what I said USA is the mass producer of Media then the next up is the overall EU.
EU and USA have the most media coverage so it makes sense you would only hear about that side mostly. This can be said about any news.
For example killers the most famous ones are mostly American due to tons of media coverage on them, don't mean they aren't killers worldwide all just as bad.

That shall always be the way longs if they have capital over media.

Overall inflation is literally an inflation in the money supply. Every government that is borrowing huge amounts or is inflating its fiat (unbacked) currency will have inflation.

Yes. Non Western places don't have the problems of Western countries. Mainly as non-Western countries are the producers and feeder states that are raising their prices to the West.
