I have a low tolerance for my toddler?

Everything he does is annoying and out of control, he aggravates me every day of my damn life and I’ll never miss him being a toddler. He ruined my life and happiness. Just wondering if it’s because he’s super energetic and over the top or if it’s because I’m in my late 30’s.

Late 30’s you’ll have a low tolerance parenting

my relative had baby at your age, he seems easy going right now but I see how much energy it takes.

Your hormones are off and lose stress tolerance as get oldrer.

Hope you have a good husband. I see single moms pull this off. Time to meditate as much as you can, focus on what is good, try to find solutions to exhaust his energy... maybe other friends will help so you can get more rest. when more rested your tolerance improves.

Children can be a lot to handle, especially overly energetic ones. Is there someone that can watch him so you can have some time to recharge? Or are there some activities you can both do together, perhaps somewhere fun you both can enjoy to make happier memories with him? I think you have to come to terms with the fact that it will be difficult to enjoy life the same way you did before having a child, but adapting and creating a life that you can enjoy with your kid can change the way you view him. Just remember that he’s not purposely trying to be annoying, he’s small and doesn’t have as much understanding of his feelings, emotions or life in general as you do. Patience is important but I think occupying him and giving yourself some time to unwind is also just as important.

It’s your job to help him regulate his emotions. Children are a reflection of yourself. You have plenty of time to step in and help him. You say he is over the top, perhaps he has ADHD?

I’m going to play devils advocate here and say maybe you need a break. Do you have anyone that can maybe watch him , so you can have a day to yourself and maybe go on a spa day or something. Having kids isn’t easy and toddlers are definitely the hardest to maintain but I think taking a day for yourself is essential

As you get older you have less patience for things. If you had your baby at a younger age you would be able to tolerate it more. Just don't take it out on your child. It's better to get a baby sitter for a while so you can take time to relax
