Do you think there are any genuine, passionate politicians?

By that I mean someone who really believes in his/her political positions, and is not just a career politician, who would change the party/views just to stay in power.

There are many such politicians. But they are too naive. They believe they can get into the system and eliminate it from the inside. They can't. They either get assimilated into it or never enter it to begin with.

@Sabretooth I don't have the time or interest to respond to all of this in any detailed way, but I will respond to one. "He was right when he was being spied on." The you cite a source that says there was no evidence that Clinton spied on him. Aside from Politifact being a biased source, that posting does not negate what Webster said - Trump was right when he said he was being spied on. Have you heard ANYTHING about the FISA court warrants that were fraudulently obtained? Trump was subjected to surveillance by the FBI. . . and apparently there was a strong link between CLinton and the FBI, since Clinton paid for the Steele dossier and that is what the FBI used to obtain the FISA court warrants.

I suspect that you want to have the last word and I will allow you to do that because you probably won't sleep tonight if you don't. The fact that I don't respond further does not prove that you "won the debate." It means that I have no desire to spar with you as you lead the conversation down this rabbit hole.

okay, fine--they did help fund this... however--it don't mean that his finding were fabricated as some was disclosed by our intelligence and bolstered by Trump asking for Russia's help and Putin's confession that he did help.

Yes there are such politicians but other politicians remove them or overpower them. There are many good politicians who are overpowered by others but rarely there are powerful good politicians who know how to play dirty with dirty people in order to remove them. Politics is such a mud where you will either be kicked out if you want to stay clean or you will get dirty when you clean it.

I think there are but nearly everyone who is like that either dies out (gets booted out and replaced) or gets stuck and don't really do much in the end, one of the reasons not to like them. Regarding US politics, there's literally only one that I like, everyone's indifferent.

Republicans are the lessor of two evils. You know Republicans will increase National debt , but Democrats will double it. Republicans will lower taxes and Democrats will increase them. Republicans will get gas below $3 a gallon. Democrats will make it $6 a gallon. Inflation will go up with Democrats and be decreased with Republicans.
